Pros: Old and quirky building
Pros: Seriously comfortable bed, great breakfast, friendly staff
Pros: Excellent Breakfast and very helpful and polite staff. We also had a very good evening meal at a very good price. The owners and staff were all very friendly and welcoming and did everything to make our stay a good one.
Pros: Breakfast was adequate, bed very comfortable,
Cons: Shower needs looking at & door does not shut, no wardrobe, no complimentary biscuits,
Pros: The bedroom was quirky, the bed was very comfortable and a great size. We had a good meal in the evening in restaurant. Staff really helpful and friendly. Good parking.
Cons: Did not like the shower in bedroom. Bathroom was small, but there was no where to put washbags etc.
Pros: Great staff and greeting
Pros: Breakfast was good, lovely location in deep rural Kent, very peaceful. Historic pub, next to the church and close to the Fitzwalter estate and gardens. Staff excellent, nothing too much trouble. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Small things - knob on cupboard door broken; the cupboard difficult to open because door isn't clear of the carpet; ventilator in windowless bathroom doesn't work; broken fitting in the shower; the shower could do with a little shelf to put stuff on. The owner and the manager were apologetic about all this, and told us they've already arranged to get problems fixed.
Pros: The staff were courteous and friendly. We stayed overnight for bread and breakfast and were sat next to a couple who had been there every year for 22 years the following morning! So clearly something works. Hotel was clean and everything as expected on arrival. Spacious, with comfortable beds. I think we will be booking again for next years Canterbury Food Festival. We had the bedroom overlooking the graveyard and church, so recommend room number 3. Set in a beautiful part of the village Only downside (and not a massive issue) is I think I would have preferred to choose from a breakfast menu as we were not too sure what the options were.
Cons: The breakfast menu (there wasn't one sadly). Which definitely not a major issue!
Pros: Extra large comfortable bed, friendly welcoming hosts and locals. Excellent food, tranquil surroundings
Cons: A few toiletries in the bathroom would have been welcome
Pros: Huge, comfy bed, crisp clean sheets. The friendly staff went out of their way to find veggie sausages for my husband's breakfast.
