Pros: Outstanding B&B in its kind. Besides all criteria which deserve 10 out of 10 (all of them), this B&B stands out of the crowd because of the generosity with which small attentions are provided. Not that one will use/consume them all, but the fact that they are provided for, gives you a heartily welcome feeling. Moreover, hostess and room/surroundings give you air to breath. It's really a nice place to stay. Combined with a daytrip and bike tour on the isle of Texel, and dinner in the very recommendable restaurants in Obdam (Dolomiti for really authentic Italian food and Ah Tim for Chinese food) and you have all the ingredients for a very nice stay in Noord-Holland. Warmly recommended!
Pros: Perfect!!! Ella was so welcoming and nice! Room is massive! Breakfast was great! Highly recommended.

Cons: Nothing could improve our experience there. It was great.
Pros: Location and breakfast: excellent. Staff: very helpful and friendly. :)
Cons: wifi in the front room of the house is weak from time to time. Maybe the router is in the back of the house?
Pros: The breakfast was good, the room was spotless and the hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Unfortunately the only cafe / restaurant in the village had closed
Pros: The friendly staff, good breakfast and nice room
Cons: It was all great.
Pros: I loved the friendliness of the hosts, they made me feel at home straight away and let me tell you that after 400 miles on a motorbike a nice beer as soon as got off the bike was a nice reward. I had dinner with them and it was delicious and the dining room was a patio directly on a little river at the back of the property. What more do you want? Absolutely perfect, thank you.
Pros: It's an excellent location. The bedroom is very nice, clean, very comfortable and spacious. It's located in a quiet place surrounded by canals and nature. The owners, were very friendly they let us feel like at home. They suggested some non touristic routes that we really enjoyed. They prepared us an excellent breakfast. It's next to Schagen, a nice place to have a walk and to eat and it's near Alkmaar. We highly recommend this location also for a long stay.

Pros: Fantastic accommodation and a really high standard on furniture and equipment. We will come back.
Pros: Everything except...
Cons: At night we hear load hissing noise, probably every hour from the restaurant underneath I think. Also bring your nescafe coffee with you. Schagen and surroundings are amazing.
Pros: as its mainly a self check in / out service there were no real dealings with staff, however this didn't cause an issue for my trip, the room was excellent and very tidy with good fixture & fittings to make my stay very pleasant. the location of the property was exceptional with so many bars and restaurants close by, very nice place and will be staying again in the future. thank you.
Cons: no English tea......but this wasn't to much of an issue with local amenities close by.
Pros: Lovely town, hotel is close to the train station & handy for my work
Pros: Small problem (the entry code in the room did not worked) solved within minutes by Fiona Beautiful, renovated location in the center of the town, parking places available (free of charge) close by (2-3 minutes walking). At the ground floor there is a small restaurant and bar, very pleasant atmosphere (discrete with the same type of modern decoration and natural materials (wood, leather), attractive menu and reasonable prices.
Cons: We did not have breakfast ( i think the restaurant is close in the morning) But they do provide a coffee machine, kettle (to boil water for tee), some orange juice and some crackers with cheese... we had all that in the first day, i don't know if we were supposed to have them everyday. They did filled up the coffee pods everyday! We did not mind at all, we were always on the move... there is a small fridge and we purchased some snacks to have with the coffee before we start in the morning.
Pros: Beautiful small traditional town. Central location just next to main square. Really nice interior. All pleasant.
Cons: Dutch builders start working at 6.30 am and took to the hammer drill with gusto on Monday morning. The hotel owner dealt with promptly though, so it was much improved the following day. :-)

Pros: Owner did everything he could think of, to make the stay complete
Cons: Short walk to restaurants
Pros: Lovely house, great host and a very comfy bed! Slept really well! Beautiful area to stay in. Had to leave early the morning after so unfortunately didn't get to try breakfast.. Will definitely do so on our next stay!
Pros: Owner is very nice and helpfull!! House is clean, and it is a very quite area
Pros: The room and accommodation was very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, in good weather it is possible to go out to the garden. We planned to see the fields of tulips, and we did it perfectly. JARDIN has a great location for this purpose. The hosts are very nice people. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Pros: Comfortable room, very nice host, walking distance from downtown.
Cons: Nothing to complain about if I’m being honest.
With a stay at Restinn Aartswoud in Aartswoud, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of IJsselmeer and Markermeer. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The farm is located in a beautiful place, the owner is super nice, the tiny house is lovely, beds are comfy. It's quite and clean and a perfect getaway. Breakfast was fresh and wonderful.
Cons: There are a lot of mosquitos. There are nets and everything, but you should be ready to fight mosquitos. This is the down side of staying in a farm.
Pros: Awesome place, in the middle of the dutch fields. Nice watermill and landscapes with animals and an awesome dog that you should for sure pet (he's a good boy). The staff is also great. They make breakfast with the milk they produce, and it's delicious. If you are by car, go. The lady that owns the place is so nice you''ll feel at home.
Pros: My family and I spent 2 nights at the luxurious cabin located at a family owned farmhouse and we absolutely loved it! The cabin is super luxurious and is equipped with everything you'd get in a private room at a 4 star hotel. Its also bug resistant which is fantastic! We were served breakfast at the cabin and it was absolutely lovely to sit out in patio at the back of your cabin and eat in peace. Jeannette and her family are lovely hosts are were kind enough to show us around there farm, their processes and allowed us to explore the hectares of their fields! If you visit at the right time in Spring, they also have a blooming tulip field! Stay here!!
Cons: Smell off the pigs
Pros: Excellent, delivered to the cabin ready to eat.
Pros: Pigs. ) Seriously, the neighborhood. It's a beautiful place.
Pros: the facilities are located on a working farm, this of course has to be your thing. If you don't like being around animals, the smell of manure or the somewat isolated location (the nearest amenities are some km's away), then this is not for you. We however LOVED it. The reception by hostess Jeannette was lovely and very warm. She does everything to make you feel at home. You're free to look around the premises as long as you ask. There are two (small) pigs that greet you in the morning, the family's dog roams around to see if you're in for a scratch, and when we were there one of their cats just had a litter of 4, which was totally wonderful for cat lovers like ourselves. In the morning Jeannette will deliver an excellent breakfast to your door, and there's also a possibility to have dinner, this had to be reserved a day in advance. The tiny bungalow you're staying in is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All in all a lovely experience and we will definitely stay again.
Pros: If you want to experience the real local farm house and how Dutch farm look this place is the right choice. We are surely come back to this place in spring.
Pros: We stayed for one night, travelling as a family of 4, with two teenage children. The kids stayed in one lodge and the adults in another, which was perfect for their independence! The lodges are close enough together to feel secure, but everyone has privacy from their neighbours. There are 5 lodges in the grounds of a farm with cows, pigs, chickens etc, which were great to look at. There is a water mill close by and some nice places to walk. The lodges are cosy and clean and well equipped. The toilet is amazing! Breakfast is delivered to your door in the morning, with fresh milk and warm breads. This place is warm, friendly, cosy and it is lovely to be on a farm with animals that can be seen and interacted with. I loved it here and would recommend it. Another heist family with small children also seemed to have a great time looking at the animals. Also, the dog is gorgeous.
Located in Schagen, Slot Hotel Schagen is a 2-minute drive from Automuseum Schagen and 8 minutes from Vlindertuin Vlindorado. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: As frequent guest, can highly recommend. Very good breakfast, clean and quiet rooms.
Pros: Great bath and shower.. nicely decorated comfy big bed
Cons: No parking.. more coffee
Pros: The rooms we have stayed in was very nice. It was the Suite room! The price is definitely a bit overpriced but it’s ok. Everything was very clean the bed very comfy and the tv was big enough for the size of the room. The internet was good enough as well.
Cons: The main problem was the breakfast and the staff serving it. On Saturday, we have arrived Friday night, we went down for breakfast and we were very excited because when we booked the room it was and was rated as fabulous breakfast. As soon as we went down we were told that breakfast was not included! The woman was rude and not helpful at all, I had to go to the kitchen to tell her and show her my email saying yes in fact it was included, for what she answered “ I will check on my iPad and I’ll see.” We waiter about 5 mins seating down on the breakfast area. We comeback saying what do we want for breakfast as we did not saying anything before as for what we wanted. Anyways we have told her we wanted coffee and whatever she has to bring it to the table. We have waited 5 mins for the coffee and this where it goes unbelievable, we waited 35 mins to bed bread/croissants smaller then a tennis ball. Obviously the coffee was cold and had to ask for another one. Asked for butter which never got and asked for a cappuccino and got a black coffee. It took us 1 and 20 mins to have breakfast where we just had a sandwich and a cappuccino! Simple unacceptable and very bad customer service. As it’s not like the. Real fast was really good the coffee was made with water the bread was frozen and warmed up on the oven the fruits was form a Can. Way too far from a “Fabulous” breakfast that we were expecting when you pay the most expensive room in the hotel. Definitely not worth!! Maybe was just us but definitely not going back.
Pros: The rooms have been updated and they were lovely
Cons: My daughter is a wheelchair user. The bathroom had a shower but was not assessable for her. There are no bars and the floor gets really wet and water goes all over the floor. She uses crutches so was not suitable, also the step up to the bathroom was difficult for her
Pros: no parking close to the Hotel
Cons: couldn't find invoice in my mails but owner send my the invoice after request

Pros: Convenience of a restaurant in house which had good food Peaceful atmosphere of the location
Cons: The lighting in my room was not adequate The extractor fan stays on continuously
Pros: Nice hotel located in a vacation homes village. Beautiful surroundings, totally peaceful. Our room had a private terrace which is always so nice.
Cons: It was all fine. This is not a luxury hotel, but it has all important basics for a comfortable stay and is good value for money.
Pros: Awesome breakfast
Cons: Dormitory at the end of corridor with people waking early to see to horses, who made a lot of noise - was waken several time during the night
Pros: Quiet place is main advantage. When we just get to the room it was not so pleasant smell, after we open balcony door air in room became good. We book this hotel with only one reason - distance to Dirkshorn town.
Cons: Light renovation is required.
Pros: Location was good for us. Our room had a balcony and over looked the pool which was nice.
Cons: That the bar shut early. Breakfast was adequate but there were flies everywhere.
Pros: Area was nice
Cons: Extractor fan in bathroom would not turn off. No switch in bathroom or on bedroom to switch it off. Resulting in total lack of sleep.
Pros: Breakfast was very nice. The property was very pretty, however, we did not get to enjoy it because of the weather.
Cons: My room was very dark and the pillows were like mountains - very uncomfortable.

Pros: Breakfast simple but good, location very nice and quiet. Not in a center though.
Cons: Beds are small
Cons: extremly small rooms. had to keep the suitcase in the bathroom. The bathroom is however very big. Steep staircase to the first floor but that is normal in Holland.
Pros: Room comfortable and very clean, staff and owner very helpful. Were given a gift of preserves on leaving.
Cons: Hotel was extremely busy due to a wedding being held there, not really a dislike just parking space was scarce due to the wedding, would have been space had this not been taking place.
Pros: The breakfast was very good, the location was wonderful, by the river. The staff was very friendly and helpful, because they helped me when I had questions about the functioning of the lights and the shower
Cons: The restaurant was only open until 9 'o clock PM. It should have been open until at least 10PM. Especially because there are no restaurants nor pubs in the surroundings that are open after 9pm.
Pros: The location was excellent
Cons: Room was tired, shabby and not cleaned properly each day.
Pros: ferindliness of staff and qualitynof service provided
Pros: Large room, basic decoration typical facilities!
Pros: size of room
Cons: We would have prefered a double bed than two beds next to each other.
Pros: Perfect location for shopping, train station etc.. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Nice rooms, good breakfast choice, overall could not fault anything. Will definitely return later in the year without a doubt. We really enjoyed our stay very much.
Pros: The fact that there was someone to check me in, even at twelf a clock in the evening.
Cons: The breakfast room is very dark, a little bit more light would help a lot during the start of your day.
Pros: Very good breakfast, lots of choice.
Pros: Location, room size and facilities
Pros: there is that nice "old world charme" about the interior of the hotel
Pros: very nice small town
Pros: Central, comfortable, friendly and good value
Cons: delay in automatic lighting is a little too slow, foudn myself walking thru' a dark corridor on occasions
Pros: The breakfast was amazing -different breads, croissants, boiled eggs, meats, cheese, salad, fruit, yogurts.
Cons: The sofa and chairs were very dirty. The stairs are very narrow, steep and open; definitely suitable for young children or anyone with mobility issues. The curtains were thin, pale coloured and hanging off.
