Pros: Sue & John are very friendly and welcoming. We used Clotworthy House as a base to go house hunting in the area, and Sue & John gave us invaluable help, advice and travel directions! Breakfast is amazing, with lots of choice and lovely local produce used. Sue makes her own preserves, which are delicious! Our room was really comfortable, as were the bed and pillows...no neck ache, which is unusual for me! Winkleigh is a lovely village, with incredibly friendly people. We had dinner each night in the Kings Arms - good food and a nice atmosphere.
Cons: Can't find fault with anything!

Pros: Wonderful family place! Jane and company do amazing work . Comfortable and welcoming with a lot of local knowledge and reading material to help us learn of attractions we would not have known of on our own. Hope to book next time we visit Dartmoor again. Thanks you Jane!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The family, especially the children are lovely and so much fun. Breakfast was excellent with local produce. Although remote in location, this means there are lovely countryside views and a superb garden.
Cons: We were given the family room which was in need of a good makeover. Wallpaper coming away from the walls. Window ledges were grubby. There was a plastic knife on the floor at the side of the bed so obviously not well cleaned prior to us arriving. There was a bulb missing from the bedside lamp and also the mirror light in the bathroom did not work. The property is very remote but I guess that's to be expected as this is a working farm. In short, I think that the family have so much to do on the farm, the accomodation comes lower on priority. We did see the other room at the property and this had been re-decorated and looked very smart.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A warm and friendly welcome in a beautiful remote location. Breakfast was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent

7.9 Good
Pros: The owner and her family were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely breakfast. We were looked after by several members of the family. Lovely room.
Cons: The view from our bedroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was all very good. It's a family house and a working farm. As long as you understand that, it's great. The fridge in the room was a useful bit of kit and we appreciated the free milk and the 'gift' of a bottle of Lovaton apple juice (which is actually very good and sells locally for £3). We used the bathroom products that were kindly provided too. We actually used it as a base to get to Rosemoor show which, although a half-hour's drive away, was as close as we could get at short notice.
Cons: Any criticism would be nit-picking.

Pros: Very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities. Comfortable room & very enjoyable breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in amazing grounds and room are wonderful
4.6 Okay
Pros: Handy location for travelling down to Cornwall
Cons: There was a wedding on, so we were left to ourselves in the restaurant- dishes not taken away, weren’t asked if we wanted dessert, another drink etc. Bar closed to non- wedding guests. Were told we’d be in a quiet part of the hotel, away from the wedding, but we had children screaming up and down the corridor and people yelling at each other in the corridor and all the rooms around us from when we got to our room at 8pm till 2.30am, constantly. Phoned porter, who did nothing. Paper thin walls, so could hear people next door “using” the toilet, and I really didn’t care about how much Dave pays for his shirts to be ironed (3 for £10) at 1am. Not ideal with a 5 month old child, or in a hotel that charges £110 a night. Horrendous stay, couldn’t wait to leave in the morning.
