price location is a bit run down(area surrounding hotel)
The hotel was very clean. Our suite was spacious and the bed was comfortable with very nice linens and pillows. The parking was very convenient, there were always spaces available, and it was free. The ridiculously high taxes in Canada.
We really appreciated how clean our room was kept. This was our first time to Winnepeg and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We also liked the location because it was close to so many restaurants and attractions.
Everyone was very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. The room had a warm feel to it and even though located in the midst of downtown it was a quiet stay.
central location, ok price, free breakfast and free wired internet a bit noisy since it's located on Main street and doesn't have sound-proof windows
They went above and beyond to help us. Traffic was bad in area
proximity to downtown
the suite was comfortable and clean with no trace of bedbugs. It was also close to where i needed to be. The suite was extremely drab
A comfortable and spacious room. The gym was quite dated.
The suite was very luxurious unexpectedly. The new renovations have created a very charming yet chic atmosphere. The room was well appointed and the food in the Restaurant was very tasty and nicely presented. Oops thats three things. Happily we didn't have one concern other than the usual difficulty getting into the hotel from the parking area initally.
In order: Location at the Forks and close to the Human Rights Museum and everything else at the Forks - a wonderful place. Great service Cleanliness My first night room was noisy. I was able to transfer to another room but it took about 30 minutes to relocate since my luggage was already unpacked. And I didn't get a full night's which somewhat spoiled my only full day in Winnipeg the next day.
The Fort Garry Hotel next door gives you better value. As for the spa inside the hotel... When we first arrived, we thought our massages were going to be in the actual spa, but instead we were whisked away to the 3rd floor to a converted hotel room. Not very romantic. Part of our package was champagne and truffles for $* We got a sample bottle of champagne to fill one glass and a truffle box 1.5 inch square. What a deal! During the entire massage, we heard the ice machine, and kids running up and down the hallway. How is this relaxing As we got the massage the masseuse applied a little too much pressure around my shoulder blades, so I asked politely for her to ease the pressure. She then stopped all together and proceeded to a new muscle group. When we walked back to the desk to pay for the services we were shocked to see that we were forced to pay a 15% gratuity. I was going to tip the ladies myself, but this gratuity should be at the customers discretion. Finally we sat in the front to wait for our shoes to be brought back to us...after 10 minutes still nothing. So I had to finally speak up to the ladies at the front counter who had been chatting all this time to remind them of our shoes. After a long wait, one of the ladies finally brought them to us. After complaining to the manager about the poor service, she said she was going to refund some money back to our credit card. Still until this day we have not received any compensation. Just horrible. Stay away and go to Ten Spa instead! There, they treat you like a king and queen.
It was clean, quiet and lovely. I travel a great number of times and have stayed in a large number of hotels. This was one of the hotels that when I walked into the room I said 'wow'. No
Room itself was really nice. Conditions good. Comfortable bed. Good TV. Quiet. Certainly the room came close to matching the quality advertised. Hotel charges $--- plus and advertises as a high class place. It disappoints.. The staff seem like they really don't care almost like you are inconveniencing them. Compared to other similar hotels it is bad. $15 self park in the forks area. Felt ripped of
The staff nope
the lounge has great food and is cozy. The rooms have beautiful decor and our a great size! they do not allow dogs and they should!
I booked a standard king bed room for just over a week at this hotel and got a free upgrade upon arrival. Everything was great! Room was clean and well decorated. Be advised if you are a United States traveler, the atm at the hotel might not work and you might have to go to a bank to withdraw funds. I really have no complaints. Staff was very attentive and polite. I would definitely stay here again when in the Winnipeg area.
very clean and staff are accomodating I suggest a microwave will be provided inside the room
Location, friendly staff, quiet, nice bathroom amenities, great towels, quiet air circulation Not enough bright light especially in bathroom, bed wasn't great

Just rated it on a previous rating. See that. Felt ripped off. Over-charged. Why do we need to pay so much for self park in the forks. Feels like a cash grab. Compare this hotel service wise to the fairmont and it is a rip off.
Staff friendliness and cleanliness of the place.
Location to downtown ,friendly helpful staff & nice spacious rooms .
poor service in restaurant, we had to get our own water, then our own condiments once the food arrived.. only complaint about the hotel.
liked the king bed, the size of the room and the cleanliness. The staff are very helpful. Would like to have an extra blanket in the room as I got cold and didnt want to turn up the heat. Found the breakfast staff in the cafe a little inattentive eg when we ordered breakfast he didnt ask if we wanted juice, when we asked about juice they didnt ask what type, they just bought us orange juice - we felt that it was an inconvenience to wait on us.
