Access to 2nd war sites
the reception was friendly and good organised, the room was nice, the breakfast very good, price OK We are very satisfied also about thesite of booking.com
A lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. Nice walks and very close to Oosterbeek.
A really good hotel in a nice quiet location amongst woodlands, very large and comfortable bedroom
very nice surrounding we came in the dark and it was not easy to find it.
The food wasn't too good (almost cold upon arrival) and too expensive
quiet location in the forest.nice swimming pool
This is a perfect place to have a relaxing weekend. Good location in the forest; good facilities (small swimming pool and sauna) and large selection in the breakfast buffet.
The location, and the facilities available to enjoy the location. Nothing
The hotel was excellent, as were the staff. The situation, in a quiet wooded area, was very pleasant and restful. The catering, especially breakfast facitities and food quality was very good, although busy. We left an article of clothing in our room and it was returned to us in the UK. What better service? We would use this hotel again. Central heating regulator had been broken and was not 'spotted' by staff.
Super location, great landscape, The single rooms are extremely dark (I have seen two of them), due to very small windows there is a need of light on even during the sunny day!!! Furniture and TV sets (14 inches) are from the past decade must be replaced. Very bad insulation so I couldn’t sleep because somebody had shover at 4;50 am I heard every drop of water. Very expensive Internet 10 Euro per hour. For two hours of bicycle rental I paid 6 Euros and I didn’t get any invoice. By the way the procedure to rent a bike was more complicated than a car rental in many places. Two days ago at other hotel in Germany I used bike and it was no bike rental fee no documents to sign. And finally for a medium size glass of local beer called Brand it was necessary to pay 5,50 Euro what is really pretty pricy.
I have stayed there for the past 4 years at the same time and now i have found this web site i will be recommend it to my frends and will be using this web site for all my hols
Private balcony , friendly staff No room service after 2100hrs. Overpriced French restuarant
It was nice and quiet, set in a nice place. For the purpose of this trip it was to far from my daily destination. It wasn't convenient from the train station as we had no other means of transportation other than walking.
The surrounding of the hotel The room has no mini-bar, no water cooker and not providing facility for hot drinks (e.g. coffee or tea), while it claims to be a 4 stars hotel.
Quiet pleasant country location and surrounding nature park. The outdoor dining and relaxing areas with possibility of bicycle rental add enjoyment to the stay. Liked everything to a greater or lesser degree.
Visit World War II sites in the area. They were excellent. Enjoyed food and the Bilderberg and Bilderberg Wolfheze. Nothing. It was excellent.
Very good restaurant
Excellent surroundings, staff and comfort. Would like to be able to see news programmes eg bbc World or Sky,or at the least cnn in English.
Accurate staff at reception. Excellent breakfast. Good bed.
The staff were excellent It was too short!
very nice breakfast buffet bed too soft, too hot to be may
The location was convenient to the station and inner city. The restaurant offered good meals at resonable prices and the breakfast buffet was well presented and offered a good variety. Service was friendly and efficient. I missed a small fridge in the room as well as a tea tray and kettle.
Location was perfect Second time in Haarhuis and second time when our windows were extremely wet. Aircondition was on all night but didn´t help. Makes air in the room bad
Close location to local town Undergoing refurbishment. Generally the hotel looked 'very tired'. Hotel lift was ancient,
Central location near railway station. Staff polite. Good buffet breakfast - wide variety and good quality. Hotel in shabby condition. Compares unvafourably with other 4* hotels. No better than 3 stars at best. Single rooms very small. Like stying in student hostel. First room strong smell of smoke despite being non-smoking. Second room acceptable for smoke smell. Same small size. Very small single bed which dipped in middle and very soft. Fabric of hotel showed signs of overdue refurbishment. Stains on walls, missing pictures with hooks still on walls, numerous tears in wallpaper and bashes and scrapes on walls and door frames.
convenince in distance to the station it was dated , the walls were dirty
The service was great and the hotel staff really paid attention to the details. The taxi arrangement was slower than I expected but was manageable.
Excellent staff - very helpful and friendly
Hospitality, very good breakfast and free WiFi in the room Nothing, I prefer this Hotel already 15 years
nice place to stay and breakfast is nice. not easy to arrive for people without a car.
quit environment and good hotel
There was a fault with the plumbing in the bathroom which made very loud vibrating noises thoughout the night. When we complained we were only given a 5 Euro discount - pretty poor compensation for having had virtually no sleep.
Hotel Staff were very friendly. The wireless internet was not working in my room all the time.
The breakfast was better than average. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. It was over a kilometer's walk to the area where all the restaurants were. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was good but there was quite a lot of food and we wanted to try something else the 2nd night. The wine bar didn't appear to have a large variety of wine.
The proximity of the woods, since we were travelling with a dog. The vacuum cleaning of the room - there wasn't any. Since we had a dog, and walked every day in the woods, the room could have been hoovered during our stay.
Only there 1 night, but staff were pleasant and efficient. No complaints at all.
Convenient for car access to H/V park
Great breakfast Nice clean modern rooms No quad rooms, which is a bit of a nuicance with kids
Good service on some extra help we needed bij Mr. Marijn
It was easy to access. Plenty of parking space. Nice restaurant and food. Room was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.
I did not like the layout of my room with the shower in the centre of the room between the toilet and the hand basin? The room was very cold and the temperature controller appeared to be preset at a setting which meant it was uncomfortable to sit and work. No minibar? insufficient desk lighting to work. For the cost, I do not think it was good value for money.
low price for a hotel of its kind nice bar breakfast not so good
Clean room, very good food, perfect localisation.
the breakfast and the price
We came to visit the Airborne Museum and Cemetery at Oosterbeek and were pleased that we chose this hotel rather than stay in Arnhem. The location was good, rooms bright and fresh with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent! The restaurant menu was expensive but 1015 mins walk takes you to alternatives. We were only staying 1 night and did not have time to use the facilities available - we will stay longer next time!
Easy to find. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
Very good breakfast buffet. My children loved the free internet access and playstation! Although we requested a non-smoking room, there was still a lingering smell of smoke in our room. The children's room was fine though.
Very friendly staff, good bed, good shower, good restaurant, good breakfast, easy parking, All in all excellent, the only monir detail: no hairdryer in the room.
Great views over the Rhine. Good breakfast - although not included in the price. Rooms were very clean and modern Two separate beds joined to form a double bed. Prefer a double bed. Hotel is a 10 min walk into the centre of town
The views from our room and the comfort of the room. Room service for coffee, a little slow.
The friendliness of the staff. Excellent food and very comfortable rooms.Breakfast very good value for money. Good location.
Location on the river Rhine. Double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together.
The Rijnview from the room was beautiful.
The beautiful view A terrible noise from the terrasse until 00.30, impossible to sleep. The hotel must turn down the ligt at 23.00 to give peace to sleep. For that reason we will never stay there again!!!
Nice view of the river
Needs better lighting in room, especially a reading light
The river view A good walk from the town though there were bus stops close by.
Situated within walking distance of town centre Room smelt damp and fixtures were broken
Very nice and comfortable facility
Good quiet location, good breakfast
Very nice hotel and location
The room was very nice, clean, and big. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The facilities were very nice.
In general the rooms were comfortable, staff friendly, wi-fi connection was good 1. The scrolled eggs for breakfast were the worst eggs I eve had - too hard and dry, 2. there were no comb at the reception, 3. there were no minibar, 4. the bed - instead of 1 big matrass on the bed there were 2 small ones (I hate it) - when I asked to change the room for the room with big bed (without overpaying)- they refused, just offered almost twice more expensive room.
Friendliness of staff especially when organising a minicoach to take our group into Arnhem for the evening. I thought the beds were a little uncomfortable
the room looked clean, however, the rubbish from the previous user was shoved under the bed! the food in the resturant was horrible.
Location was convenient to national park. Parking available. Pet friendly. Food in restaurant was good, but dinner menu is pricy. Confusing and not very clear on how to find rooms; elevator opens into a conference area. A hotel map near the main elevator would be useful or a sign pointing the direction towards rooms. Billed twice for one room for one night. Hotel was unresponsive in resolving billing error which they acknowledged at checkout. Based upon difficulty and frustration in resolving their billing error, recommend anyone visiting this hotel pay in cash. If a light sleeper, bring earplugs; conversations/noise from hallway is easily heard in rooms.
peace and quite, good setting hire of bicycles a little expensive
firendly personel, good service, access to hotel was excellent, food was good but as always could be improved
It is well-equipped, in a lovely part of the country, ideal location for exploring the countryside. Convenient for me to visit friends locally. Staff attentive and efficient. None
Excellent. Very nice hotel. Worth the stay.
This was our third visit to this hotel, and we enjoyed it as much as ever. Enormous, comfortable bed, very welcoming and helpful staff and a super breakfast. The lounge areas are particularly inviting, well used and with a good evening atmosphere, where you can buy affordable food on the lounge menu if you want to avoid the higher priced restaurant. Perfectly located hotel for Oosterbeek and Arnhem, with a bus stop right outside. We hired bikes also, for 12 euros a day. We will definitely come again. There was a problem with the hot water one morning, but every guest was given complimentary bottles of wine and sparkling water as an apology. The water in the pool wasn't warm enough for us.
Standard 3 star hotel in nice location. Kind staff. no
Good value for money; feels like premium hotel for average price
reception staff were very helpful as were the restaurant staff. The setting in which the local is situate is very nice. food in restaurants was expensive
The hotel is excellently situated for visiting the Oosterbeek battlefield areas of September 1944 (The Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein' is only a 10 - 15 minutes walk away). Although the Arnhem bridge is considerably further from the hotel bicycles and taxis are readily available from the hotel reception. Throughout our stay the staff could not be more polite and helpful. The rooms we very clean and of a good size (no tea/coffee facilities!) and I can recommend the buffet style breakfast, a real 'challenge' for those with big appetites!! I would definitely stay there again and would recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of visiting this historic area of Holland.
situation, peaceful, excellent breakfast
I came to The Netherlands to visit family. The day I arrived my sister-in-law and I spent many hours in your lounge. We ate lunch, had tea had drinks and snacks. Later my other sister-in-law joined us and then my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. It was very relaxing. It would have been easier if my room had been closer to my son's.
Very good food and comfortable accomodation.
Location. Easy access. A litle less smoke (tobacco) would be preferable in the bar-region.
great location, nice swimming pool, good restaurant
The hotel was ideally located for what we wanted to see in the area. The place was a building site! The email confirmation I received on booking the hotel stated that the works would be finished in July 2010 so we would not be affected. There were wires coming out of the walls, dust, dirt, wires crossing walkways and, with elderly parents with us, we kept reminding them and our children to watch where they were walking. I'm sure it is going to look very nice but the place was a mess for our stay.
Hotel location is fine. The hotel is located near to highway and several attraction sites We ordered a family room but our room was very small. It was no place to move when sofa was opened. A minibar was dirty and stinking with old mouldy food. A replacement room was not offered and it took more then an hour for hotel staff to clean the minibar. No electrical kettle in the room. This is improper for 4* hotel.
Friendly staff, good food. Location to local events. Very quiet. Smoking within the hotel.
The oustide of the hotel. The pool, garden. Room was durty, the carpet was not vacuum. I stayed 2 nights, and the cleaning of the room was: they made my bed. The TV had no remote control, and when I ask the reception for one, they told me they were aware of the problem but they couldn't solve it.
Very good hotel with many facilities. Breakfast delicious and personnal very kind! Nice place to walk or just take rest. Sure, we will come back!
Very quiet surroundings. The room was rather small. No tea or coffee facilities at your room.
The large grounds containing lake, woods, tennis courts, etc. Reception welcome could have been a little warmer.
The location of this hotel is great. Not too far from the Kroller Muller Museum and the national park. They have bicycles to rent if you wish. Breakfast was acceptable. The toilet was running during most of our stay (2 days). The staff worked to repair it, but it wasn't fully fixed before we left. Not an issue for us, but would have been a problem if we stayed longer.
The serenity not really
Great accomodating helpful staff
The staff were very accommodating and helpful and the room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The proximity to Amsterdam. It might be helpful to provide some sort of shuttle to/from the train stations so that a guest doesn't have to worry about the infrequent taxis.
Quiet, forest location
The internet cafe, breakfast and friendly staff. Shower not working in the first room - changed quickly by staff to another room. No adaptor plugs available.
pleasant hotel, with modern decor. slightly difficult to find after dark
Clean, nice location. Room was a bit uninviting.
free Inernet on computer cigar in ashtray of bath room, dirty
Comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Ideal for a relaxed stop not far from the motorway.
Everything was very good! the room, the facilities, the swimming pool great for kids! and the restaurant from the hotel really nice. none
The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We could hear noise from the hallway which was a problem when trying to sleep.
Good qulaity of food
Helpfulness of staff. Modern surroundings. Fantastic breakfast. Good value for money
This is a lovely idyllic hotel set in a forested area. Although we didn't eat in the 1 star restaurant on site, the hotel food was of equal value. The breakfast is superb. We were delighted by everything.
Clean comfortable room in a quiet setting. Breakfast buffet was nice. We had a room in front with slider out to small deck that was very nice.
It was by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff were all lovely and all spoke English in varying degrees. The location was lovely, very peaceful. Ideal for a very relaxed stay. It was quiet while we were there and we were the only ones using the pool. Like our own private pool. Rooms very comfortable.. Lovely comfy bed. Good selection at breakfast.. Need I go on? The only thing I would say is, it is out of Arnhem and if you want to explore in town, you need transport or a taxi.
Very good service and exceptionally good breakfast bar.
Very pretty, wooded area. Close (by car) to the Kroller-Muller museum. They must have been short staffed that morning as they could not keep up with the breakfast guests.
I was there before, everything was OK. No
Excellent food and location, plus artwork
The setting was excellent quiet and the grounds were some thing else and the bed very comfortable The breakfast was very eexpensive
a fantastic location in the woods, great for walking, very friendly service and very comfortable rooms, love to come back a coffee/thee corner in the room would make everything perfect
Excellent location and perfect company Hotel and restaurant are rather pretentious, the meal and wine served during dinner did not quite live up to the expectations one would have for a restaurant that is recommended in Lekker. "Champagne breakfast" was served without a glass of bubbles, but with scrambled eggs though. Unfortunately, these eggs looked more like freshly blended baby food - same holds for the tasteless apple pie served with the coffee.
Just 1 night sleep; the bed slept very well and breakfast was great.
We liked the location and the interior of the hotel. The staff was very fast and friendly. The hotel room was very cold when we arrived in it so we had to wait for a few hours for it to warm up to get more of a comfortable feeling. We would have preffered to be served the first cup of coffee/ tea at breakfast instead of sorting it all out yourself.
The hotel was in a beautiful location, but still convenient to cycle into Arnhem. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and despite having opened 4 days earlier, the operation seemed to run efficiently and very smoothly. The price! We thought it was very expensive.
design of the room/bathroom shower - the water did not flow off, one simply ended up standing in water when taking a shower (yuk)
I liked the furnishings, the shower, the heating and the food. Also the service. I did smell some cigarette smoke, despite this being a non-smoking hotel
Nice rooms and coffee machine
The location was excellent for the "city" of Wageningen; there was an espresso machine in the room; the room was huge. For my taste it has the best croissants outside of France. My colleague and I had both rooms on floor 1 and 2 at the far end of the hotel floor, for "good" reasons: a constant rumbling and humming noise from the exhaust system, this was annoying, not easy to find sleep, the statement of the front desk that "this will stop in an hour" was a lie, it never stopped. Next, the bathroom has no heating: I got cold feet while in the warm shower. The free spring water provided in a bottle is a fake. The fact that it was filled to maximum, but the cap was already opened before I touched it, indicates a possible cheap refill with tab water (seems to be a standard procedure in many hotels). The rooms are huge and empty, hence not very cosy, overall a cold design. Question of personal preference, however.
Nice and friendly staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, a relaxed atmosphere. Great place to withdraw after a hectic traveling work day. None
The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very helpful.
Its excellent restaurant with intelligent wine list and very good served breakfast (wonderful, no buffet) in the centre of a town with good shops. The noise from the kitchen's extractor fans, I imagine a room at the front would have avoided this. For one night this was ok, for a longer stay it might have been problematic.
Service was absolutely forst-class. Restaurant was amazing - breakfast roo/bar is very nice with a lot of Dutch ambiance
The espresso machine in our room No atmosphere, arrogant staff, " too much ado about nothing".
perfect location, attentive staff, wonderful breakfasts, beautiful hotel
Quiet hotel with friendly staff. The room was spotlessly clean. The location-good for the open air museum which we had planned to visit, but ran out of time. Went to the Airborne Museum that was nearby. Breakfast was great- our waitress very friendly There were steps that are tall and winding, but this is not unusual for Holland. We just carried what we needed for the night upstairs. They did mention the stairs online so we were prepared for some stairs.
Nice local hotel in forest setting with clean rooms and good beds. Hot and cold breakfast served in nice spacious dining room. Quiet surroundings. The hotel closes at midnight, if you arrive late its difficult to check in
good location, good restaurant, fine room, internet
We liked the location, excellent and very friendly service; rooms clean and very convenient. We had a warm feeling and felt very relaxed. The buffet breakfast was very good. We will certainly return when we visit Holland again. We cannot think of anything. We liked our stay so much that we decided to stay 2 more nights.
The only statisfaction I had in this hotel was when I arrived. The person was gentle and tried to help. A lot to say: room too small, very noisy, lights from the road straight on my bed, a weak wifi signal, and Internet not usable (too slow). Breakfast was poor and finally they wanted me to pay full reservation when I checked out the next morning! I did already say in the evening that I would leave the next morning. Everything is in Deutch, but hopefully they speak decent English. Run away!
the staff was very friendly, the breakfast buffet was abundant
Quite surroundings and very nice area for walking. Choice of food on menu could be extended
The location is fabulous - right in the middle of the woods! The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel anywhere too!
The surroundings. *Evening reception said there was not iron board available at the hotel and left us waiting at the reception for half an hour. In the morning there was a iron board. *The room was not locked after cleaning the first day. *Room was not made up the second day and no clean towels were left. *Not worth a four star rating
The food in the restaurant was very good. Lack of english language news channel on TV/radio
Located in a very nice area. Insufficient heating.
The staff was spectacular! Our suite, #21, was beautifully decorated and very comfortable even though it was literally a loft (bed and TV above bathroom, sitting area, and 'balcony.' The restaurants in the immediate area were excellent and stay open late. When checking in, be absolutely sure to go and see your room in person before you take your luggage up. This is a boutique hotel; every room is completely different. One of our party had trouble sleeping due to QR code wallpaper. Another room had bugs.
Balcony was nice; bed very comfortable; breakfast nice; staff accomadating staying up until 10pm for my late arrival. There was no floor service at breakfast which would've been very welcome, especially at the price of €125+ per night!
the hotel is beautiful, it is near a wonderful walking park it is a bit noisy, near the bus line and women who serve the breakfast are very grumpy
Romm 7..the balcony and the view. Breakfast was very fresh, and excellent
Excellent breakfast, nice decor, good view and enjoyable. Bedding too much for late summer.
the excellent service and friendlyness of staff. The beautiful buildig and rooms, the very nice breakfast. no
The staff was very friendly, the room was beautifull, and it was a fantastic visit.
It is a fabulous, totally charming place. While just around corner from train station it is in a very pleasant quiet locale. Nothing.
A quite charming period hotel with very comfortable rooms and handily placed for the city centre
Very friendly service and attention by the hotel staff. Good loungemusic inlcuding the candles. Room having a very nice balcony. no place the store the bicycles safely but I had a full prooof chain in my luggage. Just something to be prepared for.
