The comfort and spaciousness of the room and the fact that it had two chairs. (Why do some hotels only put one chair in a double room?)
Bedding was well worn and had several longstanding marks. Well past its use by date.
Lovely clean room with great bathroom. Hairdryer, iron and tea and coffee making facilities in your room. Really comfy bed and rooms were nice and quiet. Breakfast was lovely, great selection, friendly helpful staff.
Nice and friendly Cleen room and good breakfast What more can you ask for
Nothing maybe better internet upstairs
The pub was easy to find and had excellent parking facilities. The room was a great size, bathroom small but had a superb shower. It was spotless with nice bedding and fluffy towels The pub grub was very tasty and reasonably priced. All staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this place and will definatly be returning!
The room was little warm so needed the window open at night.
We enjoyed the food at the hotel. We had a good choice on the menu for tea and the steak pie was excellent. Their was also a children's menu so our grandchild could have a meal with us in the highchair provided. The breakfast was delicious and we all enjoyed it. There was a good choice for the cooked breakfast and we could also help ourselves to as much drinks, toast, juice etc. as we wanted. The rooms were clean and tidy, comfy beds but rooms were small and they could do with a bit of updating. We enjoyed the traditional pub atmosphere and my husband enjoyed a good pint of beer which was a bonus! Overall a good stopover for my husband's birthday.
It was quite noisy outside at night time, although we expected this as we were staying on a Saturday night. The Black Bull is also positioned in the centre of the town with a busy road outside it. The bathrooms were very small with a tiny shower cubicle and we struggled to get the correct water temperature. (This could be dangerous if you have small children).
With a stay at Black Bull Hotel in Wooler, you'll be a 2-minute drive from Northumberland National Park and 10 minutes from Chillingham Castle. Free self parking is available onsite.
