Pros: First class accommodation, beautiful setting, good breakfast.
Cons: Used to a bigger bed.
Pros: Great location and view across the garden, wonderful place to spend a night or a week relaxing.
Pros: Friendly service. Personalised parking space with your name on a board, lovely touch. Quality breakfast with fresh fruit and berries. Very comfortable bed. Lovely garden in a quiet area. A great refuge for my busy week in UK.
Pros: What a gem. Room, gardens, breakfast. I chose continental breakfast that was served in my room at the requested time with a lovely smile and a chat. Fresh raspberries and strawberries to go with the cereals. Hot croissants. Very luxurious bed.
Pros: Great breakfast . Peaceful location in beautiful surroundings
Cons: Curtains have to be pulled when you are in your room unless you don't mind people seeing in.
Pros: Second time we’ve stayed here and not the last. Everything is done to a very high standard.
Pros: What a beautifully presented place Absolutely stunning garden and the room was without doubt one of the best I’ve stayed in Wonderful host , top marks
Pros: Very comfortable stay, lovely tranquil location and Judi was a fabulous host. Will definately be back. Breakfast was lovely and was came served on real China. Felt like I was at a home from home.

Located in Bristol, The George at Backwell is within a 10-minute drive of Ashton Gate Stadium and Clifton Suspension Bridge. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Had a lovely few nights away with my husband, as a very late honeymoon ,due to our original Thomas Cook holiday being cancelled .So we booked something very quick and it was stunning, that staff were lovely, the room was beautiful and the breakfast included was gorgeous, as were all lunch an dinner options, Would certainly recommend
Pros: A clean tidy hotel with genuinely welcoming staff. Location made it an excellent stop over for going to the South West.
Cons: I would have preferred more sound deadening in the restaurant but then that's me.
Pros: Always great
Pros: Good breakfast
Pros: Very clean food was really nice had Sunday lunch would recamend it
Cons: Could have a bigger car park
Pros: The rooms are very small but sold as king rooms. The pictures are very misleading - too much furniture stuffed into small space is not great either. I paid for an upgrade from double to king to be told they only have king rooms!! Ridiculous.
Cons: Room and bed size.
Cons: Very good location. Fabulous room. Excellent food.
Pros: Comfortable bed with beautiful big, modern bathroom with a huge bath and a shower. Parking was easy/ convenient.
Cons: Cooked breakfast looked good, but lacked taste. We had a room on the road and as a light sleeper this wasn't ideal, though the traffic was light over night.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent - fresh fruits, good choice and well cooked and nicely presented hot breakfast and pleasant staff. Waitress in dining room very helpful and friendly and food delicious.
Cons: the shower in the Custer room was a disaster with water everywhere. Not a very practical design. Sorry!

Pros: Lovely place to stay, best we have stayed at yet around the airport.
Cons: Comfy rooms and great food, great service.
Pros: Nicola was super friendly and let me have the last glass of wine.
Cons: Breakfast was not what I expected but sufficiant
Pros: Good location. Basic, simple, no frills. Priced accordingly.
Cons: Could have provided a greater quantity of tea bags or coffee. 2 people on arrival and for breakfast = 4 of each ?
Pros: very convenient location by the airport (we had a late arrival and just wanted to go to bed!) very good communication and easy to get in with safe box nice room confortable beds good shower clean bathroom
Cons: noisy road until very late noise from planes taking off starts in the early hours - never thought Bristol airport was so busy! however, to be fair earplugs provided : we thought it was excessive but should have worn them :) short sleep but very good though
Pros: Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was good and room was very good value for money. Would definitely recommend and stay again if travelling from Bristol Airport in the future.
Pros: The hosts were lovely and the breakfast bowl was fab!
Pros: Good location for the event we attended. Great food in restaurant. Great staff and friendly local community.
Cons: To short a stay
Pros: Cosy pub with good food. We booked last minute but this was no problem. The bar staff girl was really friendly and helpful (give her a pay rise!!). The room was small and stylish but was part of an old building so was a bit drafty/ damp /noisy as old buildings are. We appreciated the basket of breakfast snacks as we didn’t expect breakfast from the description.
Cons: Expensive for what you get but then it seems to be the going rate in Bristol, and it is very close to the airport. Neither of us had 3G reception on our mobiles in the room or pub, the WiFi was not working.
Pros: Food at the bar excellent, good selection of drinks
Cons: WiFi is not good, rooms need a lick of paint
Pros: Excellent location, mins from Bristol airport but in the countryside. Village atmosphere. Staff were friendly and interesting. Great service great conversation. Room was well furnished, decorated with style and comfortable. Will take my family for a weekend away. A little gem.
Cons: Did not like leaving.

Pros: Quiet location, close to the airport. Ideal family room. Very friendly and helpful staff - good food. Ideal for physically disabled guests.
Cons: Bathroom: suggest larger sink and another shelf In the otherwise well-equipped bathroom.
Pros: The helpful staff who gave us our breakfast an hour early so we could get to a Christening. Also the clean, modern bathroom and very comfortable bed and warm duvet.
Pros: Food was very good and tasty. The accommodation was very homely.
Cons: Couldn’t get hot water from taps in bathroom.
Pros: The food was good.
Cons: The room was described as a suite but was two bedrooms with the bathroom adapted for special needs.
Pros: My son and his partner very much enjoyed the breakfast and even sampled black pudding for the first time. Great location for a family christening.
Cons: A live band played until 12.00 which meant an enforced late night.
Pros: Quite area
Cons: The bar and inside dining room smells Musty Dead flies on window sills Etc etc
Pros: The owners disappeared at breakfast despite having charged 3 of us full English- outrageous and do not deserve your custom hate to say John
Cons: See above
Pros: The room was nice, very good size, the pub food was really quite good, and the gentlemen behind the bar was great (trying to fix my broken door lock...)
Cons: This place is almost very good, just needs attention to the little things. TV remote did not work so I took the batteries out each night and somebody put same ones back in again; no shower gel in holder; fire safety light had no cover so was disturbing; breakfast was not until 08:00 which is no good when you are trying to be at work before then... Sort the little things and I would rate this highly
Pros: Comfortable Convenient for Bristol Airport Very pleasant room Rooms in separate block to pub
Cons: Pub disappointing Fortunately we had eaten on our journey
