Excellent value. Friendly, kind and helpful service.
Genial friendly host A bit cold
Very nice hotel, everything smart amnd clean, good size of rooms, and excellent breakfast. Good value-for-money and would definitely stay there again if needing a similar stopover. None.
The manager Patrick was probably the friendliest person I have ever encountered. I would certainly recommend Boston Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere at a reasonable price.
everything. Good welcome. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast.
Very friendly staff and welcome. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great. Breakfast was okay. Toast was good and tea was good. Price; £136 for 2 nights and two interlinking rooms. Would cost more at premier inn but breakfast at Premier is better Breakfast was adequate but too much fat used (driiping off bacon). Only orange for fruit juice neeeded pomegran drink or apple juice to vary. The ketlle in our room did not work properly (you had to keep the button down with your hand). Ran out of toilet paper on one occasion and had to ask for more; this sould have been checked.
The friendliness of the staff, comfortable quiet rooms, and a great freshly cooked breakfast. Ample private parking.
Ideal for birdwatching - quiet country place. Clean and tidy, owners made you feel welcome Not keen on the evening 'One Pot' meal on a tray, but could suit others.
Close to RSPB reserve.
Nice people running it, breakfast very good (slightly slow), quiet, parking, price is fair. Smell in upstairs area very strong, smelt like either strong dog smell and or damp, need to get rid of. Room was a bit small. Tv reception poor. Need better TV's and proper arial, cd (dvd) player.
Comfortable room with ensuite in quiet country location. Was not familiar with having to turn on hot water switch so had a cold shower in the morning. Would have appreciated it being switched on for my arrival or verbally advised by owner when shown the room.
Good location next to nature reserve. The en suite 4 Poster room ( No 1 ) was cramped; it is difficult to see how it could have accommodated an extra bed ( as advertised ) and still allow access to the small shower room / toilet. Similarly the advertised reference to a view of the gardens and nature reserve showed poetic licence. The breakfast room was dingy.
The staff were friendly and helpful For me, the location was a bit remote, with the local pub a good two miles away
Level access and the ground floor bedroom - relaxed atmosphere - location for nature reserve but still only 4 miles from the local town centre The rain dripping on the window ledge through the night kept me awake for 5 minutes
Loved the Listed building with old beams and antique furniture, very inkeeping with the period property. Quite different to usual hotels, very relaxed and friendly owners.
Nice staff/owners, good breakfast, comfortable and homely.
The owners of the hotel were very helpful and knowledgable
