The host would go out, above and beyond for the guests and offered to drive us to the monkey park for free.
It was my fault not to realise that it's a pet friendly hotel earlier before checking in. The smell bothered me a little, but I should have done my homework. Also, we were situated on the third floor with no elevator. Getting there heavy luggage up and down was a challenge.
The owners are the staff and are very friendly, limited English but they have a folder with translations. They Wi Fi down stairs only but surprisingly very fast 150Mbps. If you need to go somewhere close or the the monkey park ask the evening before and he’ll drive you.
There’s nothing I didn’t like, this for the people who might be choosy on where they stay. This hotel is adequate and has all your needs but if you want luxury you will need to look elsewhere probably paying double the price what you would pay here but if you want an experience that’s family orientated, no fuse very helpful then stay here it’s a nice place.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. He drove us the Snow Monkey park willingly and free of charge.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, despite our language barrier as we don't speak any Japanese, they were always willing to help. The breakfast was delicious. A great place to stay for relaxation, especially thanks to the onsen. 2 minute walk from the train and bus station where you can easily catch a bus to go skiing in shiga kogen. Perfect place to stay if you want an authentic Japanese experience!
I loved all the staffs! I never had such a wonderful experience at a typical Japanese hotel and the way they treat and expected my little Dog was unimaginable. I have had a hard time to find dog-friendly Hotels in Japan and even when I find they usually have thousands of rules. At Hakunro Bela (my dog) felt like Home. Definitely, we could come back :-)
The toilet and bathroom could be better cleaned.
