Hotel was in pleasant surroundings, rooms were well furnished if a little tired. Staff seemed under pressure, we had dinner and wine was not opened for us there were knives missing. When spending £80 on a meal for two more services was expected. Also we had been given what was called a superior room but bathroom was in a time warp, suite was AVACADO
clean, food good bed not very comfortable, need extra pillows.
Good food, pretty surroudings
Comfortable with friendly service.
Location to Milford on Sea as we were house hunting in the area The coffee- they need to learn to make espresso. The cost of the room was way overpriced for the quality provided.
Our room was very spacious, and had a nice view over the gardens. Breakfast was excellent - proper pot of coffee and cups instead of filled mugs. Music on stereo during dinner - old Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.
peace and quite the weather
Good sized room, excellent for the money. Matresses a bit tired.
The friendly, efficient manner that we recieved at reception and the excellent food, both at dinner and breakfast.
Everythihg was fine as we would expect
Location and views A little overpriced for the standard offered
Spacious room, friendly staff
All staff were extremely efficient and good-tempered and obliging. The restaurant meal was great. Food served in the bar was excellent. Absolutely no complaints.
Staff were wonderful and the food was excellent Decor was a little tired and dated
Excellent "country house" style hotel None
Pleasant for a short stop over. Handle was falling off the main door to room. Lack of staff
The Hotel service was very efficient. the pool and sauna were ok. the Passford House Hotel is a little on the tired side. the rooms were starting to show signs of wear and tear and the televisionoin ourt room and the decor looked like something from the Ark. The changing rooms for the sauna and pool needed a good refresh and refurbishment as lockers were rusty and dented and teh changing suites were rather ostere. The worst part of the stay was the food with a rather formulaic menu of what can only be described as institutional mass catering, Food was balnd, unimaginative and teh breakfast was cold and eggs not cooked properly, It turned out that the night porter was also the chef. For the money we paid this was very disappointing. i will not be going back or recommending the Passford House Hotel.
Hotel staff were friendly and professional, rooms good size, clean and in good order. Some of the decor was a bit dated - but clean
Excellent Location. Quiet Setting. Lovelly Gardens. Good walking straight into the New Forest within a few hundred yards of the hotel. Excellent restaurant & cuisine. Some of the decor was in need of refurbishment. Unfortunately, the room ( a "Superior Room") that we were given was directly over the kitchen area & it was noisy until late at night & also very early in the morning. I would recommend guests to enquire about this aspect before making a booking.
Extremely friendly and efficient staff, best breakfast I've had for a while Shower
The staff were attentive and the view from the superior room was stunning. Carpets in room could have been cleaner and overprised for a three star.
Excellent welcome on arrival and liked the ambiance of the hotel.
Restful and serene surroundings and overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. Cuisine although good did not offer a healthy option/lower fat selection and in todays climate a low fat option should always be made available without having to request it. That extends to desserts. To have a lot of dishes made as standard with butter and cream is not acceptable.
Wonderful location overlooking The Needles.Lovely walk to promenade from garden.Excellent food, beautifully presented.Want to return.
We found the hotel had a family feel to it, the staff highly effecient and we were treated as though we were the only guests staying there. The food was excellent. Can not praise your hotel highly enough. Nothing, although would have loved a sea view but we did not request one and when we arrived they were all full up!!!!!
Excellent position and food very helpful friendly staff Room was modest and electrics not state of the art Some outside noise at night but windows open due to the heat
Extremely friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and always delivered with a smile. By far the best service we have had in 6 years in the UK.
Friendly greeting and feeling welcome. The interior is absolutely breathtaking and the location is fantastic. It was a bit stuffy. Definitely has to be your taste to really relax. Everyone speaks in slightly hushed tones.
Beautifully kept and slughtly homely
hotel was as good as it looked on their own website, confortable and relaxing, staff were all friendly and helpful, breakfast was superb, didnt eat an evening meal in the hotel suspect though that the food would have been excellent.
nice pleasant environment. room really hot and window only opened slightly. like a sauna without the rocks !!
The staff were friendly and helpful, food excellent, and it was situated very close to the Town Quay from which we were going to sail. Because we arrived late for dinner the waiter did not notice us and we had to wait to order. However they were very apologetic and looked after us well.
Excellent location for wandering around the small town of Lymington (independent shops, big Saturday market), a few mins' walk from the quay-side and harbour and a short drive from the gorgeous New Forest. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Enjoyed the Sea Food Restaurant. The rooms vary (and the ones at the top are not particularly accessible for elderly/reduced mobility) and the smaller/cheaper ones are a little over-priced. Unfortunately, there are not many comparable hotels in the area so its the price you pay for the great location, which compensates. Parking is a pain - the private car park gets full quickly and you end up having to feed the meter in the public area - not expensive, but inconvenient. Again, its the price you pay for the town centre location and for me, it did not detract from the stay. But again, the elderly or infirm should note this.
Very friendly welcoming staff.
excellent breakfast bedrooms seemed very tired, in urgent need of an upgrade. no fridge.
The restaurant was very good The wine was quite expensive
The staff were extremely helpful when My husband was unwell
The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent There was a minor problem with the heating in our room (and I think in the hotel in general) upon arrival but this was sorted out quickly - maybe the housekeeper or staff should have noticed as the day was very cold!
The staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. The double room was small, but was ok for short stay.
The proprietors were extremely hospitable lovely lovely people. Very welcoming and extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food and the room was excellent. The hotel was very clean and had some very nice touches here and there.. We will definitely be recommending them to all our friends and acquantences and anyone we come across who would like a break in this country. Cant recommend them highly enough. Mary Spinks and Maggie Tracy There was absolutely nothing that anyone could possibly complain abount.
The service in all areas was very slow due to massive understaffing, staff uniforms very tatty
The pool was great and the grounds are nice to walk. The gardens and the bar have been improved greatly since me last visit at the hotel and that makes a big difference. The hotel members who use the pool are very rude and they should take note that the facilities are to be used by guests who stay there and not just them. One lady was very rude to my daughter and I did not appreciate that.
The bedroom was spacious, well-equipped, pleasantly decorated and very comfortable.Excellent value for money. Conveniently situated for the IOW ferry terminal. I had no dislikes, it was wonderful.
The leisure facilities the indoor swimming pool, sauna, and gym My parents had a timeshare there in the late 80's early 90's and the restaurant (Sails) the one in the leisure place had know atmosphere and its still the same I don't know if that's because of the prices or other things. We went to a local pub but would have loved to stayed at Elmers court but it didn't grab us.
quiet and peaceful. plenty of space to walk. outdoor pool closed. which we knew but no outddor lounge chairs and staff refused to allow lounge chairs from around theoutdoor pool to be moved.
log fires, spa, breakfast, views.it was so good we stayed an extra night..and would have stayed longer if we had the time..
No internet access
I particularly liked the high standards offered especially the breakfast and free bottle of wine with my booking The chalet rooms had patio doors as the main entrance and you felt a bit esposed to people walking by.
Comfort and high quality of room and health and fitness facilties. No free wi fi connection
