Thanks to their efforts, I was able to get inside, have a great night's rest in a well-maintained traditional Japanese-style room, and start adventuring again the next day. Even the owner (very kind person) was up and ready to bid farewell as I left the next day. Will definitely be trying this experience again soon!
Cons: Nothing bad, but non-Japanese travelers be alert; the shower/bath is traditionally Japanese. I'd recommend Googling a quick 'how-to' before heading inside, so you're not caught off-guard.
