Room was clean, heater was loud, could hear plumbing noise through walls
If you’re looking for a pet friendly option: look elsewhere. For thanksgiving my family brought our dog when visiting my parents in York. I called when trying to book because adding the pet to our reservation wasn’t an option when booking through the Wyndham website. If I hadn’t have called, I wouldn’t have known they didn’t accept cats (heads up for anyone traveling with a cat) and if I had been traveling with a cat, I may not have been made aware of this until check in, and having to scramble to figure out a different hotel option, since it was not stated anywhere except on a paper taped to the reception desk. The room was run down at best and smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals, so I trusted the sheets were clean. We cleaned up some mouse droppings we found on the counter when we entered the room and also the entire toilet seat was not attached so squatting over the bowl was unpleasant for my daughter and myself. The walls and vents also looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in quite some time with dust and dirt accumulation and the bathtub/shower wouldn't drain properly so we propped open the tub stopper in order to make do. Dont count on having a hairdryer either, one of the prongs was broken off inside the wall socket and had burn marks around it so we left that entire plug and light switch alone the whole stay to avoid electrical issues and sparks. The walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors arguments at 3:48am when they wake you up and many of the cable channels are just frozen (discovery channel had the same frozen image of myth busters for all three nights). I’m glad we were just there to literally sleep and that’s it. It is not a place I found relaxing or enjoyable and honestly for the price point of a little over $100 per night after pet fees, I am highly disappointed in the experience. It felt like a lot of money for a crappy time. Next time I’ll either book a different pet friendly hotel that’s farther away or get a rover sitter for our pup.
Cons:We had to switch rooms because the first room smelled like smoke or cleaning product to cover the smell of smoke. When we moved to a new room it had 2 green trash bags outside the door that were ripped open as if they had been sitting there for days. I had to clean hair out of the bathroom. Plus the hotel never removed a sticker on the tub.
Pros:Desk clerk was helpful and understanding.
Cons:Room was filthy and run down. Moved; second room was worse. Horrible property. Never again.
Pros:Sheets and bathroom clean. Continental breakfast was nice.
Cons:We were put next to barking dogs. Bed was very hard. If we were in room in morning cleaners just asked for dirty towels and gave us fresh ones, we missed getting it cleaned. They did not come back later.
Pros:The room was clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. The location was also really good.
Cons:My only complaint is that the bed and the bed covers were pretty uncomfortable. The bed did have a ton of pillows on it which we liked a lot!
