The landscaping and setting are truly one of a kind. The staff is all very friendly, from the house-cleaners to the concierge service. The on site restaurants, especially the one at the marina, are top shelf. Truly some of the best food we have ever eaten. It is pricey. The cost for a single night stay was double that of staying at another location not much further away. I am not sure if the amenities warrant the cost.
The overall setting of the resort is beautifully surrounded by the river and green, the low rise housing helped preserve the scenery from every angle. We stayed there during the Thanksgiving weekend with our grade schooler sharing a king size bed comfortably on the first floor. The room is sized a typical hotel room with a patio facing a pond, which I enjoyed the most. The closet was unusually larger, you can fit 2 suitcases in there. The amenity is normal, that's why I did not rate it 'luxurious' but it's clean and sufficient with body wash, shampoo and conditioning;, the interior design of the bathroom is on the high end than other typical Hilton or Marriott, but is sized smaller than I would have liked. Each room has a Kerug with 6 pods and they fill it up everyday. No problem getting on wifi. The shuttle service is excellent - we used it exclusively to travel between Busch Garden and the resort - the shuttle also take you directly to your building if requested, they really eager to take around the resort. indoor pool is smaller than I would have liked but there were 20+ kids there so it felt crowded. But the changing area is on the high end side, very clean, plenty of towel supply, whirlpool, steam room, sauna included. Every staff we encounter are very friendly. Buffet breakfast in Element 1010 and lunch at Eagle restaurant, both of which were good experiences. Everything worked out really well. It is priced a bit higher than others in the area but i feel that I get what I paid for, it's worth the value. We definitely will go back in the summer and possibly in Nov/December again. Can't really pick any Cons - I guess I would have liked a bigger indoor pool so the kids are not jammed together.
Facilities We requested a room on the bottom floor prior to arrival. I received an email through Kayak from Kingsmill confirming we had a room on bottom floor. Upon arrival they did not have bottom room or anything in their system that we requested one. They were not accommodating and did not offer anything to make up for it. Some staff not attentive.
Great value and a great place!
Overall facilities and rooms were clean and well kept. Food and activity options were plentiful and the location (and the resort's free shuttle service) makes all the area attractions easy to get to.
Rooms were very nice and clean, beds were comfortable. The room was very spacious there were six of us and we fit comfortably and no one was tripping over anyone. Front Desk personnel was very friendly and attentive. Called housekeeping a few times to get toilet paper and soap as we had run out what we had brought and didn't want to buy another one since we only had two days left and got no response. Other than that everything was good.
Not enough vending machines, food services are a little trouble to get to from room.
We pick this resort first when traveling to Williamsburg. It is in a beautiful location, they keep it looking new and clean, and everyone is so kind and polite!
Everything was fantastic. Our late checkin was super fast and easy, which was much appreciated since we were tired. Unfortunately we did not get to use the club facilities (pool, gym, etc.) but they looked excellent and very inviting! Hopefully we will get to stay again and use them!
Beautiful facility, lots of things for the kids to do. Very clean, spacious modern 2 bedroom unit. None, we loved the place.
I needed to relax , write and also have the comforts of home, particularly the kitchen. It was nice and quiet. I wish I could have stayed longer, two days wasn't enough time. It was my second time at the property in as many months. Nice escape if you can afford it. I'm saving to go again. The full length mirror in my apartment was horrible. It was the type that belongs in a carnival fun house. I was very surprised at the lack of attention to THAT one detail and avoided the hall it was in.
This resort exceeded our expectations. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. My family enjoyed all the amenities the resort had to offer and I strongly recommend it to anyone. whats not to like about this resort.
free video games not helpful, not customer service oriented
We enjoyed playing miniature golf, the swimming pool, checking our e-mails on their computers and our rooms were very nice. I would say we enjoyed our entire visit. Not a thing
I like the ability to be staying at one location that allowed the family to do things within that location. This was a plus because when the children got board, we could go to the game room, swimming pool, mini golf course. The space in the rooms were excellent as well. Separate rooms and bathrooms accommodated the large family with ease. Just the hallway needed to be cleaned. Some old bed clothes were left there for a day but they were cleaned and then there were some trash that was left behind. Other than that, it was great.
Overall experience was good. I stayed in a lower floor unit and you could hear every movement of the people in the unit above us. This is not the first time I have had this issue at a Wyndham resort. Need to find a way to improve on this.
audio speakers in the walls thru out - awesome! very comfortable furnishings no pay per view movies, couldn't get the dvd player to work, restaurant closed
The unit we stayed in was very comfortable and well equipped. The on-site facilities (pools, tennis, game rooms) were terrific. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a great value. No.
Large indoor pool, helpful staff, free weights and machines in the gym, and clean facility and room, larger than a standard hotel. The cottage rooms are joined by a common entrance which allows noise to travel from one room to the next. Makes getting a good night sleep tough if the people next door get up early.
The little cottages were great, I like the separation from other guests. The tv in the living area was tiny! Unwatchable due to its' size and location.
Location to Williamsburg/Busch Gardens attractions. It smelled when we arrived and was very difficult to remove the smell. We were never really sure what it was, however.
The room was great The check in process took about 45min do to only one person at the check in desk and the other person you had to speak with trying to get you to go to the timeshare presentation
Beautiful and clean room. I didn't like having to hear a short pitch from a time share sales representative just to receive my parking pass. It was only a short discussion because I refused to make an appointment to hear the full sales pitch but it was awkward and uncomfortable.
It was an apartment. Great for families. No indoor pool.

Great location, spacious rooms, double headed shower, blu-ray dvd player and Netflix account accessible, washer and dryer provided in room, full kitchen. Basically a small one room condo style experience. Staff very friendly and helpful. Outdoor pool could be bigger, however they are expanding the property with an additional pool, they are building tennis courts, basket ball courts and a bowling alley.

Nothing The hotel is not advertised correctly. Pretty much everything I thought I was getting I didn't. When we checked in the WiFi didn't work, the shower curtain was stuck and didn't close, the phone was dead and had no dial tone, and the furniture was broken. When we called up to let them know about the WiFi it took them 20 minutes to tell us that they already knew! A little heads up would've been nice. We got a full refund but I never plan on coming back to this hotel. I've worked in hotels most of my life and this is the worst I've ever seen that is not a motel on the side of the highway. Also don't be filled by the name it's nothing close to a resort
Only thing I liked was the facade and concierge (Darius) I didn't like the permanent pooh smell, the jerry curl tumbleweed, the coffee maker but no coffee, the candy wrappers and toiletries in our room left by previous guests, the half-hour long check-in process, the stains all over the furniture, there being no breakfast...but that's just me.
the price was very reasonable you could hear everything going on in the rooms next to you
Maintenance staff was friendly. Only other good thing was location to attractions. We were put up in the "newly renovated" cottages. None of the staff were familiar with the old fashioned keys we had to uses. We were told they were renovated but the whole room smelled musty, the bathroom was so dirty I bathed in flip flops. Within an hour of arriving I realized there were no trash cans in our room. Took them over a half hour to "try to find us one." Our toilet ran constantly the first night and sink wouldn't drain. Maintenance was nice and fixed it, Had to request new towels - planned to use 2 days to save the resort water but they never dried. No clothes hangers. Our door to our room that lead outside only shut if locked and you could see light shine through. Had a variety of ants, spiders, and bugs. Last morning there my husband found a baby snake in our bathroom. Sign on back of the door said it was the princess Ann motel. Googled it and was from the 40's. Clearly the resort has put little effort into updating them. It feels like a run down motel and was far away from the "resort". We drove through back alleys by dumpsters to get to it. Mattress was new but hard as a rock.
Location was good. Close to city center and attractions. Staff. Not a nice greeting or welcome. We were told check in was 4pm at 11am and asked to come back later or leave our phone number and they would call us. We were in town for our anniversary and had to change all our plans because we didnt have a place to shower and change. Also they never contacted and when i called at 4pm i was put on hold for 15 minutes just so the desk could "see if the room was ready". I hung up and we drove to check in. No apology or reason was given for not contacting us. Then there was an awkward approach in the lobby from a guy that didnt even look associated with the hotel to buy a timeshare or package for 175 dollars when we hadnt even seen the room or put our belongings in the room. The room was awkward and very small for a "king villa". Didnt look anything like it did online. I do Diplomatic Security and I can tell you that security at this place is non existent. My wife and I returned at 11pm from being out and the side door where we parked was propped open with a rock. In the future, I would not use any of Westin's "resorts" or have any member of my staff or suggest stays by visiting country diplomats. Very disappointed.
The staff were friendly and willing to offer assistance when required. The Hotel was good but the facts relating to the type of accommodation one would receive upon arrival were not illustrated correctly on the website. Having stayed at two other time share resorts in Williamsburg, I expected the same type of accommodation instead of what I got. However, the staff were exceptional in their customer care and for that reason I made the most of my stay at this resort,.
Upgraded to a suite, most comfortable bed and pillows I have EVER slept on. Close to colonial Williamsburg and local restaurants. They didn't provide breakfast.
