The location of the hotel makes up for many of its flaws. Fantastic view of the lake and adjacent to the temple. I've rated it overall as good. Yes, it is old, dated and in need of a thorough renovation. But that also is some of its charm for me. And staff are doing the best with what they have. I found it overall clean, as clean as it can get without renovating. My bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great (Asian), even with Cappuccino machine. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Very basic English but Google translate can solve that. My room had a view of the lake, a private balcony to the side and shared terrace overlooking lake. At night, it was quiet. Water and tea are provided. The shower was great - strong water pressure and hot water on demand. I would definitely stay here again on a road trip. Car or other means of transportation required.
My room on floor 3 was under the dining room which takes up the middle floor of the building, so lots of noises during meal times (chairs, voices, etc.). But it was fine as I was mostly out exploring. Also possibility of being exposed to cigarette smoke because terraces on each floor are smoking areas. Not a big problem unless you're sensitive. During my stay, it seemed pretty empty and I appreciated that. Outside of breakfast meals are limited.
The view on the top floor is INSANE! we were the only ones on the rooftop for sunrise. Clean rooms. Decent breakfast. Free shuttle into town. Power shower was really strong.
A little out of town (40min walk) as the busses stopped early. However we found out that the hotel gave free shuttles.
This hotel is very good. The staff are very kind, thanks a lot for helping me!! =)
Very nice staff
View of the lake was amazing especially early morning an sunset Plenty of free parking outside
The breakfast food was all cold it was not on hot plates. Hotel seemed a little tired. The shower in the bathroom kept falling off the wall
