Cons: All was good
Cons: No ironing board
Pros: The owners could not have been more helpful & welcoming.
Pros: The rooms were large and well appointed. Owner was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and served in your room.
Pros: A quiet spot in a residential area. A private terrace with the room. Very friendly reception. Enormous area consisting of room, bedroom and bathroom. Owners provided conversion plug for Swiss power connection, which was verythoughtful as it's unique to Switzerland.
Cons: Couldn't fault anything!
In a historic building in the centre of Yverdon-les-Bains, a 15-minute walk from the thermal spa, Hôtel du Théâtre is surrounded by a garden with a terrace and offers free WiFi. The rooms have all been renovated in 2014 and 2015 and overlook the city or the private courtyard. They feature wooden floors, a flat-screen cable TV, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Pros: Welcome,Room design, location
Cons: Breakfast, Shower
Pros: Great location for exploring the old town. Very friendly and helpful staff; especially Marie at breakfast and checkout! Nice breakfast and great coffee machine!! Modern and clean room! Good dinner recommendations and “beer tasting” in hotel bar was a highlight
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, good bike storage
Cons: Toilets are not separated by a soundproof door from the rest of the room. The room was basic, but not living up to the price (zero extras; nothing).
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the location.
Pros: Cleanliness Staff extremely friendly Good breakfast
Pros: Very friendly helpful staff. Great location and interesting town
Pros: Very close to train station. my room was facing the terrace, very quiet and cool room (although it was quite a hot day). The staff is super friendly and helpful. Would def. book it again!
Cons: Shower is too low. You fit in if you are 1.5 m tall
Pros: Very pleasant and helpful staff. nice breakfast in the courtyard
Cons: Noise from the street.
With a stay at Hôtel La Prairie in Yverdon-les-Bains, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Thermal Center and Maison d'Ailleurs. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We've stayed here a few times; it's a very good hotel in a pleasant part of town, walking distance to the centre & a bus stop nearby. The rooms are comfortable, with interesting design features & quality materials.
Pros: Good, quiet location (abt 1km from train station) Friendly & welcoming staffs Good breakfast
Cons: Bathroom especially shower cubicle needs maintenance
Pros: This was our second time staying here & we enjoyed it just as much. The rooms are comfortable & beautifully decorated, staff are friendly, the area is peaceful & close to the town centre. Yverdons les Bains is a convenient place to stay, fast trains to Lausanne & Neuchatel (circa 20 minutes), local trains to Fribourg. The town itself is pretty, with historical buildings, small shops, bakeries, etc, fountains & an park by the lake.
Pros: The A/C
Cons: The meals - lunch and dinner are very expensive and the quantities insufficient ! The wine is outrageously expensive vs. quality !
Pros: The hotel is set back from the road with a garden & pleasant surroundings. It's relatively small, with high quality materials & details; makes a good impression. The rooms are comfortable & stylish. It's easy-walking distance to Yverdon-les-Bains town centre & railway station, plus there's a bus stop nearby.
Pros: Room was spacious and airy. Hotel is fairly close to the town centre and was part of a spa facility, hence its rating as a 4-star establishment. Great bathroom!!
Cons: We needed a room with twin beds which we eventually obtained. Beds were however somewhat narrow. We were disappointed that the hotel gardener decided to start using a hedge trimmer below our room at 7 a.m. However, this could have been a one-off experience. Hotel charged extra for breakfast, which at 20 Fr per person was way beyond our usual budget, so we declined.
Pros: When the mistake about the dogs had been realised, they kept our original booking in the renovated room. This was very much appreciated! Rooms were lovely.
Cons: The tennis court was out of use. This had not been mentioned when we booked and we especially brought our rackets. An alternative was not offered. Also when we checked in they were surprised we had dogs with us. I had emailed 3 times to make sure they knew and even received a reply. Rooms were warm, even with the window open.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Great hotel, great staff. Ideal location, quiet area but close to the city center. We even got room upgrade with no extra cost.
Pros: Location. Room size, cleanliness, parking and lovely sun terrace and park next to the hotek for waking. Excellent overall
Cons: Nothing to write
Pros: Lovely, quiet location, comfortable room (a nice mixture of old and new parts), good beds, good wifi, very friendly staff, great dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast was good too.
Cons: Our room had a connecting door to the adjacent room and we could hear the other guests talk as the door was thin.

Guests can enjoy a relaxed evening in front of the communal room’s large stone fireplace. BnB Bellefontaine has a garden with a small pond. Vuissens is a Swiss Heritage Site, and hiking and cycling are popular activities in the area. Lake Neuchâtel can be reached by car in 30 minutes.
Pros: Very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful old furniture. Beds were fine but two singles pushed together, would have preferred a double. If you want to chill out in style this is the place.
Pros: The Village of Vuissens was a pleasant Neighborhood
Pros: Our friendly host was waiting outside the property as we arrived in the dark. Beautiful old barn conversion and lots of atmosphere to the place.
Cons: For us the property was quite difficult to find as it was not on the map! A wonderful location in the middle of beautiful countryside.
Pros: Breakfast was fine, service was very friendly.
Pros: People,location clean..good host
Cons: Host.clean location
Set in the village of Montbrelloz, a 30-minute walk from Lake Neuchâtel, Blaise Chambres d'Hôtes features a large garden with seating area, barbecue facilities, table tennis and pond. Free WiFi is available. The rooms are individually decorated, and the shared bathroom is located just opposite the rooms. Guests also can use the shared kitchen, the balcony of the house and the living room with library. The guest area of N. Blaise Chambres d'Hôtes has a private entrance. Restaurants and supermarkets can be found in the medieval town of Estavayer-le-Lac, 2.5 km away.
Pros: Best host! It really felt like home to us. Will return as soon as possible for a weekend trip.
Pros: What a wonderful getaway, lovely hostess who was very helpful and kind. Will definately return for another visit. Was well looked after. Thank you
Pros: Its a nice place with parking available. Apartment is comfortable, clean, kindly staf. I asked for a crib and got toys, the potty, highchair. It was raining and I got an umbrella. Really really nice.
Pros: Great location for the Route 5 bike route (only a few hundred metres off the trail). Nice big room with shared bathroom. Use of the garden and an outside 'pavillion' with table, chairs, coffee, drinks. Breakfast was also served outside. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They drove us in to Estavayer for our evening meal and picked us up afterwards. Estavayer is a beautiful medieval village and was well worth the visit.
Pros: I truly loved the sincere hospitality of a lovely Natalia, who warmly welcomed me and showed around. The housing is purely joy to stay in, it is extremely neat and tidy and I slept very well, this means it has a great energy!
Located in Estavayer-le-Lac, Hotel Le Rive Sud is within a 15-minute drive of Payerneland and Reformed Church of St. Mary Magdalene. Featured amenities include a safe deposit box at the front desk and an elevator (lift).
Cons: I did not give the best note because of the breakfast: even if a bit poor compared to other modern hotels, in such a quality place, bio and gluten free food are expected
Pros: Located in the heart of the old town, we were able to find a lovely local restaurant by the old city gate which had great food. The room was very spacious and was very tidy and clean. We were able to use the secure parking but there are only 2 slots so arrive early if you wish a space.
Cons: We arrived on the Easter weekend, there was only an envelope with a room key and we saw no staff members until the following morning when we saw some cleaning ladies. Based on the price we paid for a night, I would expect some service in the hotel.
Pros: Fantastic restaurant. Lovely views from the room.
Cons: Sound insulation.
Pros: Decent sized rooms. Clean. Good but limited breakfast. Restaurant closed for holidays so no meals except breakfast.
Cons: Wi-Fi was intermittent. Mini bar very expensive.
Pros: Our room was nice and comfortable with a good view of the old town.
Cons: Since we checked in on a Sunday, we never saw any hotel staff until the following morning which was a little strange. It felt more like a guest house than a hotel.
Pros: Good location to explore town, Secure storage for bikes under hotel. Fan in room!
Cons: Repeat what many others said, we arrived also on a sunday to "the" envelope. I think ratings are low, as we saw no one until breakfast (briefly), then to check out, press a button and one of the cleaning staff checked us out. But no "How was your stay" or " Thank you for staying with us". Definately lacks the personal touch, and disappointing for the higher than average price. Looks like restaurant and breakfast area have been renovated. Rooms are old, and need some modernizing. Restaurant closed Sundays and Mondays.
Pros: This is in a great location, very clean comfortable bedrooms. Lovely dinner in charming dining room. Breakfast adequate.
Cons: Only when we got into bed in the evening did we realise we only had a single duvet!!! No phone in room for room service so thought, because room warm we would be OK. Unfortunately during the night a little chilly. As reduced staff for Sunday I made a point of mentioning this but don’t think they understood. Hence a little perturbed having to pay full price for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. All I can only say is check your rooms before check-in , otherwise brilliant.
Pros: The food in the restaurant is amazing!!
Pros: The food in the restaurant is spectacular, and the staff are tremendously helpful and friendly. The rooms are a little small for the price, but cosy.
Situated in Yverdon-les-Bain, in the heart of a sumptuous tree-lined park, the Grand Htel & Centre Thermal has 116 spacious and elegant rooms, as well as 15 fully-equipped conference and banqueting halls. In addition, the hotel and spa boasts two restaurants, each with its own distinct identity, and a lounge bar. For those with a thirst for well-being, there are also four thermal pools, wellness centres, health and beauty zones and fitness facilities.
Pros: No air con in the 21st century - unbelievable
Pros: Lovely hotel in a beautiful little town. staff were all fantastic, plentiful, huge choice for breakfast. easy access to Thermal Spa
Cons: Rooms are now a little dated and no air con, we accept that temperature was unusually high but room was stiflingly hot, hotel did give us a fan. Room and particularly bar prices were high.
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Don't miss the muesli.
Pros: The room was expensive and included very little. The hotel is old and the wear and tear clearly visible. Especially hideous was the bathroom door, rotten up. Staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant Rotunde is overpriced and the service very slow. The spa is in real need of renovation.
Cons: The breakfast was ample, but there was no topping up. We went for breakfast 08:50 (open until 10), and almost everything was finished. No more juice, not even glasses. Empty serving dishes for rösti and fresh fruit, cheese practically gone. The waiters were only concentrated in cleaning tables. We waited for 45 minutes, even asked for refills, but to no avail.
Pros: Excellent breakfast, lovely swimming pool, nice gardens, easy tojoin thermal baths.
Cons: No air conditioning in room. No barrier on balcony so could not leave dog alone.
Pros: 2nd visit to this hotel - the facilities , staff, cleanliness & Thermal Spa are all excellent
Pros: Perfectly delicious
Pros: The place was walking distance from the center. a small veranda with two chairs and a table where a nice place to stay and rest. The breakfast was good but not so rich like in Wellenberg Hotel. There was a shuttle from the hotel to every local place.
Cons: I would advise to add the name "Grand Hotel" to the resort as mentioned on the premises. It would be easier to find. The bed was uncomfortable
Pros: Fantastic breakfast. Super nice pools. Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: No air conditioning. That's a decision the hotel has taken to be more "green", but still frustrating.
Pros: The staff was very kind Access to the pool was good. Dinner was delicious and live piano music was also good. The food and tea at breakfast were delicious.
Cons: The free wifi which could be used in the lobby and the cafeteria could not be used in the 3rd floor. However, the old smartphone was also usable in the 3rd floor.
Located in Lully, B&B Hotel Lully 3 Lakes is within a 15-minute drive of Payerneland and Reformed Church of St. Mary Magdalene. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, ATM/banking services, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely hotel. Super location (if you have a car!) for visiting Estavayer-le-Lac. We went for the Swing-in-the-wind street jazz festival which was AMAZING! The hotel was perfectly placed and there are loads of eating places in the same building and plenty of FREE parking. We'd definitely stay again.
Cons: Nothing. It was a super stay in every way.
Pros: Good rooms, very quite despite being on by the highway
Cons: Not clear from pictures or description that it's on a services on the way to Geneva
Pros: Very convenient to the motorway. Quiet. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Advertising. Confused about the name change from the previous hotel group. The check in was slow because limited staff presence. After 20 minutes waiting for the party in front of us to cancel their booking, we booked via the app and then reduced our check in time!
Pros: The rooms are large, comfortable and very quiet. Another great thing about this hotel is, that there are good catering facilities, as well as a kiosk within the building.
Cons: In my opinion, the gym could be modernized.
Pros: The hotel room was nice, but didn't take any photos
Cons: Just that there was not real public transport links to the town other than taxi
Pros: Just at the motorway, easy to find and more than enough parkingspace. Just at a shopping mall. Perfect for one night stay.
Cons: Breakfast really simple, quite expensive for what you get.
Pros: comfy beds, spacious clean rooms, on the motorway but very quiet, convenient restaurant and small shops.
Cons: they have taken away the fitness room
Pros: Room was clean and tidy
Pros: Réception 24/7 Modern design of rooms Warm Welcome in the middle of night Free parking French speaking Very nice breakfast
Cons: My électronic key wasn’t working...we had to use à mechanical key as the lock battery was off I was a bit in late...
Pros: Clean and very confortable. Hightly recommend
Located in Onnens, Hôtel Restaurant Bellevue Onnens is on a lake, within a 10-minute drive of Yverdon-les-Bains Castle and Maison d'Ailleurs. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The breakfast was good. Continental style with breakfast cereal, juice, yoghurt, tea or coffee etc.. The croissants, breads, cheese and ham were delicious. Would have liked to see more fresh fruit. The view from the room was beautiful, with a bit of lakeside and looking towards Yverdon. Beautiful outdoor seating area- great place to bring friends for a reasonably priced bistro lunch. Historic building 1648 has real atmosphere.
Cons: No air conditioning in the hotel so if really hot temperatures e.g 30+ open the shutters and forget the bedclothes. Dinner menu doesn't really cater for families with young adults 12+ - more of a gourmet restaurant therefore too expensive to take the whole family. They do have a kids menu for under 12 yrs though. :)
Pros: The breakfast was very good, and the view from the beakfast room was beautiful.
Cons: Sadly, the restaurant was closed the evening we were there
Pros: Lovely old building with a distant view over lake Neufchatel. Easy drive to Neufchatel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of food at restaurant. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious.
Cons: Had not realised quite how far away the lake was ( too far to walk). The hotel is in a tiny hamlet with no other dining options. Right next to a garage ( which our room looked out upon). Restaurant , although good, was expensive.
Pros: it was out of season but, still they had a room made up. bed was comfy. The view i guess is good if you have a mountain view room...and the coffee and breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Well, i know it was out of season, but that doesn't excuse the state of the toilet (the last deposit still remained). I had to screw the door lock back on myself as it fell off, and couldn't unlock the door from the inside. My booking stated mountain view, but i didn't get that. For the price, I would have expected coffee/tea facilities in the room.
Pros: Propoerty well located nearby the lake of Neuchatel. The food at the restaurant was fantastic.
Cons: That evening there was an unpleasant smell in the hotel (like fuel)
Pros: Wonderful welcome, friendly staff, great atmosphere.
Cons: Bathroom door didn’t close properly. Very little space to leave things especially in the bathroom.
With a stay at Hotel de la Source in Yverdon-les-Bains, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Thermal Center and 11 minutes by foot from Maison d'Ailleurs. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: leaving the place
Cons: - no members of staff in the building during the night - room had smokers in - requested a 'No Smoking' room - had to phone remote office, nothing they could do - no air conditioning in the room - poor quality fit-out of the room and lack of facilities - terrible breakfast - no choice, no hot food - unhappy staff - card machine not working
Cons: Room was towards the main street. Curtains could not be closed while window open, therefore the lighting on the balcony was too bright and too disturbing.
Pros: New hotel in good location close to town centre. Useful to have a balcony as weather was hot.
Cons: Hotel was very warm inside after previous weeks hot weather and no climate control.
Pros: The accessibility of the hotel was nice. Just a minute from the highway. Room was not too small. Shower was very nice and clean.
Cons: Breakfast is too expensive for the quality of food and the diversity. Cleanliness of the carpet was not that good.
Pros: It's relatively small, modern hotel in a peaceful area, 10 minutes walking to the old town. The suite rooms on the ground floor go through the building with a front door facing the road & a back door to the garden. The road is not so busy & is very quiet at night. Also the rooms are set back from the road with a small garden. The room layout is good; a lounge, kitchen with high-table, washroom & then bedroom. The garden at the back leads to a fenced off grass area protecting a water-source & a public park-like area about 50m away; all very tranquil.
Cons: The rooms have a strong chemical smell/odour, possibly coming from the plastic floor, and no windows that open. The solution for us, was to live with both the front & back door *wide open, also at night*. Fortunately the weather made that possible, and we felt safe in the peaceful area. With the breeze from the garden & birds singing, it was ironically a pleasant experience.
Cons: No AC, 28C this morning in the room, and staff turned off fan and opened windows during the day.
Pros: The room was very nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. The location was very good. Short walk into town where there are lots of bars and restuarants.
Cons: No restuarant or bar. No ice machine. No tea or coffee in room.
Pros: Very modern hotel with large rooms and balconies, excellent bathrooms.
Cons: The hotel experience is excellent, a little sterile but very well thought-out. It's just very expensive (though all hotels in Yverdon are very expensive, for some reason).
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. It's always nice to be welcomed like this! Very friendly!
Cons: We were there with a small baby. So we had to prepare her warm milk, but there was no water heater in the room. At the end a very nice lady at the breakfast room was able to help us.
Pros: The beautiful rooms and quality of construction...
Cons: Nothing wrong but the price is high...that's Switzerland.
The Hôtel de la Gare is a charming historic building 200 metres from the Yvonand Train Station and 500 metres from Lake Neuchâtel. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking All of the quiet rooms at the Hôtel de la Gare have parquet floors, a cable TV and come equipped with ironing facilities. Specialities of the canton of Vaud and international cuisine are served in the restaurant. Currency exchange is offered at the hotel.
Pros: Clean and cozy, good location
Pros: Nice family run hotel in the city centre about 20-25 mins walk to the beach
Cons: No air conditioning and it’s very hot in the summer. Also it’s on the noisy street
Cons: 1. The address given (on Booking.com) was not correct. It said 'Rue du Temple nr. 9'. My GPS said there was no such street. I phoned the hotel, and the reception told me to try 'Avenue du Temple'. That was recognized, but then the nr. 9 did not exist. Asking around people pointed me to nr. 13, an anonymus house nearby (anonymus from where I was standing). Later, making a remark about it, the owner was not impressed, saying "Pffft, you are here now, that's all right then, is'n it?" 2. The room floor was clean at first sight, but in fact was covered with dog's hair. I noticed it later when I was going around on my stockings, that I collected a bunch of hair.
Pros: Great restaurant with excellent food and friendly service. Rooms are simple but quite OK. Staff is great, we were very well received, in spite of a very busy night.
Pros: Convenient and great staff
Cons: Noisy rooms
Pros: Very friendly place, owner and staff! Great value! It was so nice stay! Love it!
Pros: Lovely evening meal and very helpful Hotel Manager
With a stay at Hôtel du Port in Estavayer-le-Lac, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Payerneland and Reformed Church of St. Mary Magdalene. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: - nice & clean hotel - well located - good breafast - kind staff
Cons: - restaurant a bit pricey; food was ok but pricey for what it was
Pros: Large, fairly comfortable room. Nice bathroom with a good shower
Cons: Building a little on the dated side. No AC. Patchy wifi in my room.
Pros: - Very good price for the quality. - Friendly staff. - The 3 person room was really spacious. - Fridge in the room. - Town centre.
Cons: - The parking was a bit small, and it was not easy to park a large car. But on the good side, there were always free places.
Pros: Lovely old building in the centre of the town. Easy to walk to Lake Neuchatel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good and tasty food at the restaurant. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious.
Cons: Limited breakfast buffet, high prices in the restaurant
Pros: well located, friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast was not up to the quality of the hotel
Cons: nobody at reception, very cheap but overall ok
Pros: A nice family hotel in a good location. Satisfied with the service. If needed I choose also next time. I recommend.
Pros: Location and quiet, as we seemed to be the only clients.
Cons: Old and smelly hotel where time seemed to have stopped 40 years ago. No staff when we arrived, restaurant closed, smell of cigarettes and old nylon carpets. Breakfast with old bread, stale croissants and poor coffee - no choice. Grumpy receptionist checked us out. A message board said “we are closed on Monday to serve you better the rest of the week” - really? We did not see any friendly staff around. Way too expensive for what you get. We chose hotel because of 8.2 ranking but there is no way this reflects the real hotel quality and service.

Pros: Great staff from the moment we checked in to when we left, and stunning location on the edge of a lake
Cons: Busy road in front and parking is a bit difficult although hotel was very helpful
Pros: Renovated rooms, great location, friendly staff
Cons: Very small bathroom
Cons: Price vs quality below expectations
Pros: Location as it was very central. There was plenty of storage. Bed was very comfortable. The place felt very safe.
Cons: My partner needed a second pillow which was not available. There was no one there when we arrived to ask as it was Sunday afternoon. There was someone having a row at the back of the property one night! This was quite disturbing at 1pm! None of the staff spoke English which is a bit strange for a hotel.
Pros: proximity to train station, lake (/beach) behind the corner, good breakfast, room well cleaned, pub downstairs with belgian beers
Cons: third floor - not possible to move within the room for 2meters tall man, no air-con - especially in floor under roof, posibility to change air via two small windows
Cons: WIFI connection is always disconnected if the device idle, and we have to connect it again to login in again.
Pros: This was a decent hotel, quite centrally located, clean, and with nice staff. Unfortunately, my room was twoards the street, one had to keep the window closed, otherwise the street noise was considerable, though traffic slowed down during the night. One suugestion: the room needs a light next to the bed.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Not actually on the lake
Pros: Very close to the railway station.
Cons: Needs a light by the front door so you can see the keypad to enter at night - I had to use my phone.
