Privacy Very small (I'm talking about my shoulders touching the sides of the shower at all times no matter what direction I turned kind of small). Though it was a cheaper hotel for the area, it was simply too small to use well. Mainly just the bathroom though... The bedroom was small, but workable.
It was within a short walk to the train station which connected to Cinque Centa The room was very small, there were no case facilities, the cramped conditions make only a very short stay possible. Parking is on the street, which although safe made unloading & loading a car very difficult as the street was on a hill with the hotel at the bottom
Hotel staff and services It would be nice to use the roof on the hotel for relaxing
very modern facilities lack of wireless in rooms
The breakfasts were fantastic Everything was great don't change anything loved the wiFi free
Excellent staff, service and meals Nothing
The breakfast was delicious and had good variety, particularly including fresh fruit, eggs and good coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms did not have any electrical sockets, which made it difficult to charge mobile phones, cameras etc. Secondly, the insulation is not particularly good so we had a lot of noise late at night due from the streets and nearby elevator.
the location was very central to city centre and train station The room was very small and no storage facility in the bathroom ie: shelving for toilet bags etc.
Great Location, Great staff who were very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. The location is great for a visit to the Cinque Terre however the city of Levanto is nice as well to visit. Room was nice and had a privat balcony. I would definately stay here again.
Yes the Lady in reception was extremely helpful and pleasant No Air Conditions is a disaster for any time in July / Aug. Also no parking available beside the hotel.
Very enjoyable 3 days spent in the region. Hotel was a little difficult to find even using GPS which was not quite accurate. However vista and views worth the effort. Breakfasts well catered for including gluten and dairy food intolerances. Best in this regard in the entire trip. Friendly front office staff. Walk to train downhill easy but return after full day a little tiring. Did not get chance tobtry out "emotional showers" in spa complex.
Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. We were blown away by how they bent over backwards to accommodate us, especially with the shuttle rides. Good alternative to staying in cinque terre...just a 6 minute train ride to Monterossa.
Great service and best cost / benefit.
We initially booked for two nights and enjoyed it so much we stayed for five. The room and bathroom were boht large and well appointed with a large balcony that looked over the town. Levanto is the next stop from Cinque Terre with all the train connections etc. and the hotel is a 10 min walk from the train station. Our GPS got completely confused trying to find the hotel once we got to Levanto, but a quick phone call and the hotel staff gave us easy directions. The GPS was trying to use roads that are walking tracks - something up with the maps, even putting in the longitude and lattitude did not help.
This was a little gem and the star of our month in Italy. We stayed in many hotels but this was the best and superb value for money. Big clean rooms most with balconies, small walk to train station so easy to do Cinque Terre, parking, wifi and pool with awesome "emotional shower" and sauna etc. Great after a long walk. Bfast was also superb - didn't want to leave! Only warning is that if you want to walk from Levanto to hotel you have to go up a few steps as up a little, but normally you are there for the walks and views anyway!
Actually I only can complimet this hotel,-personally to me, everything was perfect from the minute when i was taken and driven to hotel..Wonderful enviroment, relaxing atmosphere, briliant and helpful staff, luxorious dinners at reastaurant and richness of breakfest. I simply had the best possible time during my short vacation!
Nice hotel, very peaceful, wonderful scenery. No restaurant!!! We had a room for us and one for our children so were charged double by the hotel transport when only one person was paying double the bill!!
Excellent hotel, very good service, nice and helpful staff, lovely terrace with fantastic view :-)
Beautiful view. Lovely place with friendly family service. It's a little tricky to find.
Large comfortable room, friendly staff, good breakfast Quite a long way up the hill, but pleasant view when you get there.
View from hotel was spectacular. Staff was very friendly and helpful (we didn't speak the native language).
The location and the friendliness of the staff
Run by accounting, water not hot enough no tissues not 4 star 3.5
The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful
Fantastic location Wonderful views Very clean and spacious Friendly staff Shuttle service to local beach and town only five euro return No restuarant
The two brothers from Rome and the gentleman from Rapallo at the desk couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Rooms were very clean, breakfasts good and views and property very pleasing. It was great to have a garage as well. Mattress was rock hard.
We had a "junior suite" which was large, well designed interior with a terrace overlooking the mountains. The facillities are excellent and sometimes need explination: so hypermodern (minimum and maximum roomtemperature are computercontrolled from frontdesk, in the room is the manual thermostate). The restaurant is close by, so you can fully enjoy the marvellous wine collection. We suggested to the owner to put noice absorbers under the chairs because of the beautifully tiled floors. It will improve the comfort.
Lovely location beside a running stream. Fresh air and great base for Cinque Terre holiday. Room had a musty, moldy smell from bathroom which we mentioned to staff for future travellers.
The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are immaculately fitted out and prepared, the breakfast is great, there is a free shuttle to and from Levanto each day to the rail or boat terminus(you can also buy your Cinque Terre Pass at the hotel to avoid the crowds at the railway station). Free car parking on site. The associated restaurant next door serves perfect Italian food and wine with great service (and menu advice) at reasonable prices. One of the best experiences of our Italian holiday.
The staff were great . The restaurant was excellent, very good value for the money. Hotel is located 15 minutes from the main station to take the train to go to the 5 Terre which is very convenient (cheap taxi shuttle is organised as well)
the design, attentiveness of the owners, quiet and pleasant place, about 4 km from levanto where there's a local train to cinque terre. only pay tv
the position in the forest very quiet and very comfortable room.
Nice short drive to Levanto. Next to hotel is an excellent restaurant.
The staff were fantastic (husband & wife team) and very welcoming. The hotel is new and the rooms are spacious and very chic - breakfast was nice and the restaurant next door (run by the husband and owned by the wife's father) was excellent. The hotel setting is very tranquil and peaceful yet close to Cinque Terre and Levanto.
Quiet, peaceful location, not far from the sea. Excellent adjoining restaurant with multilingual maitre d'. The hotel name could be displayed more visibly from the road. We went straight past it and had to ask 3 times before we eventually found it.
A very nice and new hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Around 10-15mins drive to train station for visiting Cinque Terre is OK for visitors travelling with cars.
Nice staff, clean, good breakfast wi-fi only at the entrance
The more than helpful staff made this stay one of the best we have had on the trip. The location was great, the included breakfast was good. Nothing bad to say!
Very helpful staff. Excellant breakfast. Good location in town. Fairly close to the train station. Small bathrooms with very small showers stalls.
comfort and convenience
convenient location to everything inc. train station and downtown very small elevator
Good location, friendly staff. Expensive for small family hotel.
Good location, good friendly service I found the bed very hard.
We would book this hotel again. We arrived by train at ll pm and per email reqest we were met at the train station by a driver who took us to hotel. Even though it was walkable (10 min), so great to have that service at that time of night. There was even a little bar across the street that was open. We loved this hotel. Opened the shuttered window in the am to a view of the sea. It was wonderful. Breakfast was super. Desk service was of the greatest quality. They gave us maps and directions. The room was large & comfortable. We'll be back! There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
The hotel has a very good placement, in the center of the town, near to everything. There were nothing we did not like
We liked the Church bells which rang the hour, the delicious breakfasts and the friendly and helpfull staff
Everything was perfect. I would highly reccommend it to friends . Great staff who spoke excellent English made it even more enjoyable. Two minutes walk to the beach with the best power shower in Italy to come back to. Plenty of good restaurrants within easy walking diatance to the hotel and the villages of the Cinque Terres at your doorstep. Great value for money !
The hotel was very clean and the room was a good size for value. Breakfast was not provided as was indicated on this site.
Near the beach, friendly, English speaking staff, Clean room. A/c controls were difficult to figure out, so hot or cold.
Ease of registration, very helpful staff. The computer with internet, in the lobby, was very useful to help us with the rest of our trip. We had a great stay and the advice we asked for was accurate.
clean, value, great breakfast, free parking, friendly clerk who helped with bags no elevator, bit difficult to find
hotel staff was very nice very loud!! lots of street noise until after midnight and starting about 6:00a.m. and lots of noise from the hotel maids starting about 7:30 a.m.
I experienced the hotel to have a very familiar and enjoyable atmosphere with clean, modern rooms and a rich breakfast.
Spotlessly clean, engaging staff, excellent continental breakfast
Hotel garden had well appointed large rooms which were value for money. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast served was excellent including lovely coffees. The hotel was well placed for the beach and the towns facilities. Lift didnt go to hotel reception floor
Hotel Garden is nicely located close to the beach and the hiking trails. We hiked from Levanto to Monterosso and back (approx. 25 km.). Very beautiful. The breakfast was superb and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Parking was free but it was a 20 minute walk back to the hotel.
Fantastic hotel. So glad we chose to stay here rather than in one of the Cinque Terre villages. Levanto has so much to offer in terms of dining and shopping and having the ability to drive in and park for free was definitely a plus. Parking is a really short walk, no more than 10 minutes. The staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was great too. I would definitely stay again.
The amazing friendliness of the owner, the excellent breakfast and the location on the mounains.
The staff during our stay was very nice and extremely comfortable and tried to make us feel like we were at home.
everyone was so friendly. the food was really good and great value. the hotel was in a beautiful location. the windy road up to it, but then it is 900m up.
A very kind staff, excelent food, a great hotel for those that like to discover italy... The location of the hotel. The road to the hotel can be exhausting...
Value for money hotel, a lot of space and facilities, but renovation is time to time missing.... Very good food at dinner, is recomended, other locations are too far away. A bit diffcult to find even with navigation device. Recomended arrival by daytime, hotel is placed in mountains with small roads.
Arrived late as had difficulty finding hotel but the wonderfully helpful "Tania" reopened the kitchen and prepared a meal for us which was not only kind but also very tasty Way up in the mountain but dont let this stop you, it is worth every inch of the journey
Nothing! We had to pay 80 euros for a taxi because they refused to come pick us up from the train station even though they have a van, which they used to drop us off in the middle of nowhere the next morning where we had to hope that a bus would pick us up. The place is a hunting lodge a good hour's drive into the mountains with nothing to do for miles. A terrible choice for any student or anyone not looking for a mountain get away. I wanted my money back.
Good hotel in 3 star category. The staff were excellent. Very good breakfast. Good value for money The room was noisy due to thin walls.
The hotel is wonderful!!!! ---
The staff were fantastic and the hotel felt brand new and very clean. The location is great only 400 metres from a beautiful beach. Their restaurant nearby was also excellent. Try the tuna.
The friendly and helpful staff, plus the clean modern room.
Overeall a good comfortable hotel where everything was just right - good clean room, nice breakfast, great staff and excellent location to explore Cinque Terre region.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The option of a hot breakfast was unusual and appreciated. All fittings and facilities were of very good quality. One of the best showers we had in Europe.
Clean, spacious and good breakfast
It was brand new, so our booking was one of their very first (and there were no reviews on your site at the time). The standard is far higher than three star and the rooms, decoration etc are very cool Italian design. There is easy parking, the breakfast was excellent and the staff extremely welcoming. A real discovery in this lovely town, many thanks!
extremely clean and comfortable; comparatively spacious for a European hotel - close to train and town - bathroom was spotless - quiet area but close to everything you needed - big breakfasts
The hotel was very very clean! 1. There were no shelf to put on our bath bag, and we had to put all our things out of the bathroom. 2. No air or fan (ventilation) in the bathroom 3. They put only 1 shampoo + 1 bath gel for 2 people for the whole day - there was not enough
Brand new hotel, just renovated and opened a week ago when we were there. Nice cosy rooms with big enough bathroom and balcony. Great breakfast in outside terrace. Located egually close to railway station and beach (Levanto is pretty small place). Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
Location - for access to Cinque Terre It was a good hotel and the staff were excellent but possibly a little pricey for the standard. I did not do a detailed comparison to other hotels in the area though, just to other hotels we used during the trip.
Friendly staff, good breakfast. Walking access difficult
The staff were absolutely outstanding! The B&B is ideally located for accessing Cinque Terre, the train station is only a 10 minute walk and you can be at your the last town of Riomaggiore within 20 minutes. Nothing!
Excellent and friendly staff, great views, 5 min walk to town, 10 to stazione, quiet. Nice breakfast and great coffee.
Fantastic room with balcony, good parking, friendly and helpful staff None
very helpful staff - owner paid for taxi from train station late at night; next day drove us to the station. Very nice room. Good breakfast with helpful staff to get coffee
The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was clean. Sometimes it was necessary to wait while cars were moved before you could get your car out of the parking every day.
Location Tea & coffee facilities not available in room.
very friendly owners, great room with balcony, convenient to beach and town and other facilities, train station for walking in Cinque Terre
The hotell staff was wery nice and helpful. Breakfast could have been a little better.
The Villa Margherita was a delight. The breakfast was topnotch; loved the smiley face on the cappucinos! The rooms clean and more spacious than I expected. And Federico was a gem, helped us figure out our train schedules, had terrific dinner suggestions. We enjoyed a late-afternoon respite in the garden. All was perfect. We were hiking the Cinque Terre and were really happy that we chose the Villa Margherita and Levanto instead of staying in the main towns. Levanto was a bonus to our trip.
Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff.
Location, spacious room with balcony. Staff were very helpful. Decor
The hotel staff was very nice No
clean friendly hotel, good buffet b/fast,central position.
Friendliness and helpfulness of owners/staff were exceptional. The location near the train station, restaurnats, and the waterfront were good.
Very good location and helpfull stuff. No complaints.
The Location is quite central and the ease of finding it due to signs from the station. Close to beach and good restaurants. Good breakfast selection. It was a little noisy in our room being on the side next to a driveway and it (along with most other hotels in central levanto) is close to the clock tower which has quite a loud chime every quarter hour from about 5am.
Great location and great friendly staff. A little loud in the morning if you leave the window open.
The owners and staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. We thourghly enjoyed our stay.
The location and the tranquility the beds could be more comfortable.
Rooms are very clean, the service is good and staff very friendly Hotel located on the mountain, difficult to reach
This is a large restaurant hotel in a small village. Our room was on the second floor, reasonably large with a modern bathroom and a pleasant outlook. The wifi worked but was slow. We had quite a good meal at their restaurant. Ok for one night. The doorknobs didn’t work and you had to use the key to close both the main door and the bathroom door in lieu of just shutting them. No air conditioning but a fan that required a trip down to reception to get a remote to operate it.
Small hotel with very friendly staff and excellent food in the the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this as a good base for visiting the Cinque Terre if you have your own transport.
The hotel was close to Cinque Terre providing you have a vehicle and relatively easy to find. Good restaurant, excellent breakfast. We enjoyed being around locals instead of other international travellers. English language was spoken by some of the staff. No lift.
This is a lovely little hotel. The village is up in the mountains and you feel like you are away from it all. The hotel is friendly, with overnight visitors but very much frequented by the local people who come for a coffee or drink in the bar, or to the restaurant. The restaurant served wonderful food all beautifully presented, and very reasonably priced. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming.
Very nice and friendly staff. Big room. The "rural" style of the hotel is very nice. The hotel is situated 16 km from the sea but with a car it makes no problem. The internet is extremely slow and uncomfortable for use.
The staff was wonderful! Picked up our group at the Levanto train station. Clean beautiful room. Marble floor. Charming small town. Amazing breakfast!
Quaint, old, isolated. Very traditional country Italian. Noisy. The town bell rang every half hour all night. The tractors pulled up outside at some incredibly early hour. The bed was the hardest I had ever slept in.
Hotel friendliness, peaceful scenery. The village offers excellent food. Easy parking oposite of the hotel. Clean bathrooms and toilets and spacious rooms. At the ground floor, the locals gather till about 11:00pm and there is a bit of noise. Ask for a room at the second (uppermost) floor. In particular, at about 11:00pm, the hotel staff cleans up the restaurant and there is some kind of dragging noise. If you don't sleep until approx. 11:00pm though, this is fine. Same thing in the morning. At about 08:00am, there is the same dragging noise.
