Pros: Enjoyed they're breakfast bar, friendly staff and wonderful amenities .
Pros: New construction with great clean room....nice decor. Easy to find...close to everything. Really enjoyed the Keurig coffee machine in room. Bed is very comfortable. Will book again if we are in the area.
Cons: Disappointed at the quality of the hot breakfast and lack of refridgerator in the room with the price we paid foe the room. Food selection was OK but not of good quality, .tasting like boxed items, even eggs. Room was A bit cramped for a family of 4.
Pros: it was clean, cleaning personal very friendly.
Pros: We arrived well before the check-in time of 3pm. Our room wasn't clean yet, but the staff quickly cleaned it up for us so we were able to move right in. The whirpool in the room was very relaxing. We used it both nights of our stay.
Would use it again.
Pros: Clean, although on a significant hill, convenient location.
Cons: Common areas too close to the front doors; cold draft.
Pros: I like that fact that the hotel was clean and up-to-date.
Cons: The hotel staff was more busy on the phone and did respond to helping me the customer. She automatically assumed that I was working on the hotel and not a guest.

Pros: My husband and I had a great one night stay experience. We brought our now 3 year old son to Blowing Rock to celebrate his birthday. Everything went according to plan and all of our expectations were met. The best part about our stay was the location. We took our son to Tweetsie Railroad Park which was literally right down the road from the hotel. There was also a lot of restaurants and stores close by. Another good thing about our stay was the location of our room. I was so nervous about how our toddler would respond to staying at a hotel as this was his first time. He did fine, but let's just say I'm glad that our room was located on the first floor and I believe we were among other families with children too. Not sure if this was planned by the staff or not, but it definitely worked for us! All overall everything was great including the breakfast. Prior to selecting this hotel I read a lot of other reviews about how good the breakfast was. They were all right. It wasn't perfect, but better than most hotels (regarding the selection of food). We will definitely be staying here again!

Pros: My room was super clean and well tended too. The bed had lovely soft linens, and the room had a ceiling fan and Jacuzzi. There was wifi, TV, microwave, and fridge. The room had natural cross ventilation, as well.
The Inn Keepers were welcoming and kind in offering dining tips within an easy stroll.
It was a great stay and I look forward to visiting again.

Pros: I found the room well maintained, quiet and comfortable. Staff friendly. Clean room, good set of cable TV stations, bedding nice and room well painted.
Cons: A/C has an auto fan setting, but never really turns down or shuts off. They have "green" program for bathroom towels, but the cleaning staff doesn't actually follow it. LOL. No Hangers in closet. No shampoo the first day, only body wash. Cord for blow is very short. Tough to use. None of this ruined my stay. Just little details to note.
Boxwood Lodge is a great choice for a stay in Blowing Rock. You'll have free perks like WiFi and self parking.
Cons: Walls were thin. We could occasionally hear our neighbors. Walk in showers were a bit odd.
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly. Common areas were very new-looking and nice.
Cons: Room interiors were a bit worn. Carpet needs replacing. Bed wasn't as soft as we'd have liked. We should have asked if they had a mattress pad to soften the feel. Some hotels have them.
Pros: The Sleep Inn in Boone is close to everything - downtown restaurants and shops, entertainment, etc. Hotel is modern, comfortable and clean. Staff is always friendly.
Cons: Breakfast area is small and difficult to move around in.
Pros: The room was nice and clean. The staff was helpful and provided us with directions to local dining options.
Pros: When I stay in a hotel I'm looking for a place that's clean and comfortable, with a lowkey & friendly staff and continental breakfast. This delivers all of that, usually for a lower price than comparable options in Boone.
Pros: Great staff. Clean rooms. Close to everything. No bed bugs!
Pros: Rooms were very clean and all rooms are non smoking! Staff was very Freindly and helpful.
Cons: Free breakfast was just ok.
Pros: It was a very clean and well kept place. The breakfast was awesome too. It was a good experiance.
Pros: Main thing was that the heater would make a knocking noise when turned on. There was also a mix-up with a wake-up call where the front desk put the call for PM instead of AM (good thing I had the alarm set). That was addressed and it did not happen again. But all-in-all not a bad place and I would stay here again. Staff was friendly.
Cons: we found a .38 cartridge (bullet) under our bed... kind of strange to find something like that. also indicates housekeeping didn't really do a thorough clean job.

Pros: Very cheap and everything was clean. Staff was nice as well.
Cons: A/c smelled musty and moldy. We had to turn it off because we were getting head aches and congested.
Pros: Cleaniiness. Beds were excellent.
Cons: So disappinted that the facility did not have a jacuzzi. The other Comfort Suites where we have stayed had jacuzzis and this is the reason that I selected CS of Boone. Traffic made it very difficult to get in and out .

Cons: There was the strongest smell of deodorizer or caper powder, something used in cleaning that made my eyes water. It was so strong we kept the door open for a bit to air out and even cracked open a window. If you have sensitive allergies, take caution.
Pros: Rooms were nice
Cons: Lobby under renovation and no one let us know before making reservation
Pros: Plenty of room to spread out. Hotel has a very reasonable and accommodating pet policy though we weren't traveling with one. There were many who did, but they didn't disturb. Porch was a nice touch. Didn't use pool, but it seemed nice. Breakfast was good. Parking was a bit crouded. Go Mountaineers!!!

Pros: We arrived WAY after check-in time and Jacob was awesome enough to stay on the property for almost two hours after his shift ended to make sure we checked in ok. Fun atmosphere in the grounds and room.
Cons: Our air conditioner didn't work correctly the first night, making for the wrong kind of hot and sweaty. The pillows intended for sleeping were more akin to planks of wood wrapped in a fine linen weave, which prompted a trip to wal mart for the second night's pillows. Air worked fantastically the second night.

Freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks, and guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking. Pros: The tub was dirty and the caulking was black or missing
Cons: No work out facilities
Cons: I wanted to use the swimming pool. The water was cold and I don't believe anyone else was using the pool.
I thought I was going to pay one price but the actual bill was around $35.00 more.
I can get the same value room for a cheaper price.
I stayed there because it was close to my activities.

Pros: An excellent location. Right on Blue Ridge Pkwy basically and the most receptive and kind people working there. highly recommend it.
Pros: Great value!! Clean, big room with regular hotel amenities. Free parking, WiFi, and breakfast was an added bonus. Only complaint is that the rooms have screen doors that slam and woke us up a few times. I'd stay again. Can't beat the location in Blowing Rock!
Pros: The property was well maintained and very clean. The decor was pleasing and someone had obviously taken the time to decorate with good taste.
The staff was very helpful, even if they didn't have the answer to a question, they tried to attain it.
There were lots of towels!
The comforter on the bed was wonderful and the bed itself was great.
Cons: This is an "old style" motel. You park outside your door. Though well maintained and attractive, it is hard to escape the tiny bathroom. There is a small glass shelf above the bathroom sink. With 2 people in the room it is difficult to fit toothbrushes and shaving gear on the shelf let alone such things as makeup.
Someone took great pains to make the room attractive, but the lovely big throw pillows had no place to go after they came off the bed. This could be a great property if the owner spent a night in one of the rooms to see how logistically it is difficult.
At some point it would be great if the HVC wall unit was replaced with something a little less intrusive.

Pros: Nothing, way the hell out in middle of nowhere.
Cons: Bed squeeked, bath room un-acceptable, could not turn around in shower, so I didn't. Left after seeing room, asked to be refunded, said i had to contact you people.
PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY!!

Pros: Room was clean and comfortable, but the best thing was the staff. Very friendly ever though we arrived at 1 am. The next morning at breakfast the staff member pointed out everything they had and was very friendly. Made us feel right at home. Next morning at breakfast was the same nice lady. She took our used plates aa soon as we finished with them and walked to all the tables to check on all the people to make sure everyone had everything they needed. Would 100% stay here again because of that nice lady alone. But all the staff was just as nice.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Proximity to both Sugar Mountain and Beech mountain is nice. Mini fridge in the room for drinks. Most importantly, I would gladly stay here again.
Cons: Ok, so this is a bad that isn't so bad. They were redoing floors and making some other updates to the facilities which was a minor inconvenience but once completed the place will be nicer for the effort. They were close to being finished.
Pros: Hot tub in the connecting suite room.
Pros: staff was friendly and helpful Good location...free breakfast
Cons: No elevators... Only one ice machine for the whole complex and it's downstairs and we were on the second floor. Bed was uncomfortable. No fan in bathroom. Hard to find outlet for my CPAP machine.
Cons: Need softer pillows
Pros: Breakfast was good, the room seemed clean, and the staff was very hospitable.
Cons: The beds were TERRIBLE, the carpet was threadbare, and the hot water was lacking for showers. The price tag was extremely high and based totally on location. This hotel is in dire need of a remodeling.
Pros: Good value room, free hot breakfast. Breakfast is very good. Close to two ski resorts. Very friendly staff. Rooms are nice. Brand new digital TVs with DVD player. Refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in room. Rooms are good size.
Cons: I've stayed at Best Western, Banner Elk, NC twice in the last month. I have no complaints.
Pros: Went up to Banner Elk to snowboard and absolutely loved this hotel! Very clean, nice staff, affordable and great location

Pros: Great staff. Always a friendly good morning. People at registration made you feel at home and welcome to be there. We parked Friday night and didn't move the car till Sunday afternoon. It's absolutely in the middle of everything in blowing rock
Cons: OK. What I didnt like. Therrs always something. Took about 5 minutes for the water to get hot the first shower of Friday night. After that no problems. Be patient it works.
Pros: Inn is located within walking distance of Main Street in Blowing Rock. Town has several wonderful small shops and very nice restaurants. Inn is very comfortable and was an excellent value.
Cons: Room bathroom could use a refresh.

Cons: Mattress could use replacing. Breakfast items were mostly gone by 9 am and not replaced.
Pros: Keurig in room
Back deck with divider
Right off the main road
We plan on booking here again!
Cons: There was a orange soda bottle sitting ON the fridge when we came in. Also, salty footprints on the floor & a leak in the sink plumbing.
Pros: The room was very clean and cute. Packed a lot into a small space
Cons: The previous people had taken the keys with them and my key only locked one of the door locks. Since it is motel style it was not too secure. Plus no one pointed out to me that the front window was open (with just a screen the glass window was not pulled) so my stuff was left in an unlocked room.

We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and hope that we can come back soon!
