We liked most the friendly and helpful people. If you need it as an airport-hotel, it is necessary to have an own car, by bycycle it took us about one hour because of the traffic and street buildings.
Near the airport
place was very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and even found someone who spoke englinsh and he came to ask when we wanted breakfast on the day of departure.
Clean and comfortable Problems with late night access. Poor sound insulation between rooms.
Ok - it's not a hotel but very bit as good as, lovely comfortable clean rooms, breakfast ok, bar on site, pool room with bar seperate. Excellent all round accomodation and very nice friendly family we'll book again and were looking forward to returning Nothing
Hospitality was wonderful and a terrific surprise to find a truly unique VW collection which made it a fun place to stay with our small boys. The hosts were welcoming and eager to share their enthusiasm for their wonderful VW museum - largest in Eastern Europe.
Friendly staff and closeness to GDN airport
A real gem. Very close to the airport and the Tri-City by-pass. Ca. 20-30 mins. by car to all the major attractions of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. Cosy atmosphere. Nice design. Great VW Museum. Friendly owner and the whole staff. Everything was excellent. Thye signs for the hotel could have been a little more clear instead of just saying 'VW Museum'.
Awesome staff, nice and spacious rooms. Breakfast and VW collection was a nice surprise. Nearby to Gdynia/Sopot/Gdansk and still in the quite farmside. Just nothing, maybe the village address itself is a little misleading as if I remember right, actually it was just couple meters already at the next village.
Personnel did not speak English but they helped as good as they could. Tnx!
Cheap, clean, quiet. The employee didn't speak a single word of any language but Polish (and thought that we could easilty understand it...). Getting to Gdansk in the morning from it can be tricky due to heavy traffic (almost 1h for 15 km!)
A very cheap hotel, close to the airport. Very kind people.
Super śniadanie, tylko rano personel sprzątający "zmusił" mnie do wstania wcześniejszego. Great breakfast, but cleaning staff "forced" me to get up early (loud talkings). The only problem was that bookin.com hasn`t sent my reservation, lucky me the hotel wasn`t overbooked.
The beds were of good quality and so was the breakfast (at least during the week!) First, most of the hotel staff did not speak English (and it was very difficult to communicate with them!). Second, there was no room cleaning service in the mornings. Third, many of the hotel staff were simply not capable of running the hotel. A few of them were, though, but not many.
cleaness, comfort, pleasent environment, good location, design should be one person who is mmore informed about eventual problems considering interenet conections
We had very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was versatile and very tasty. Staff was gentile and ready to help in any kind of things.
Very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended. The breakfast was a little short.
Large comfortable room with good facilities. Very young staff not up to 5* service levels
This hotel had a relaxing atmosphere, which is what you actually need after a busy day at work. Almost everything was according to what you can expect from a brand new Hilton hotel. The breakfast can be improved.
I did not get the room which I booked.People from reception were not able to solve my problem.
Nice location and good facilities. Clean and tidy Most personal good but some of the girls in the reception still think that you have to be dressed in a certain way to stay in the hotel. In Sweden we have a different clothes code maybe moore casual than in Poloand. So one of my collegues got a bit ill treated when we arrived. see above
Rooms are very well appointed. Bed is comfortable and nice. We had a sea view that was great. Slow housekeeping service. Breakfest at $30 per person!!?? Much too much.
meals in the restaurant, design of the hotel, location design of the restaurant is like a dining room in student house
Nice hotel with pleasant and helpfull staff. Nice rooms, and a perfect location. The hotel is not ready and charges 5 star prices for a 3 star facility. No fitness room, no meeting rooms... it is too expensive for its offerings.
very nice hotel, I had a great time
nothing even if you have a question you have got to pay...
The spa is lovely and the location on the beach is good. The Sheraton Sopot unfortunately was a disappointment. The location was fantastic but the service let it down. Everything was an extra cost from breakfast, use of the spa, internet, late check-out for just one hour. It felt like the hotel just wanted to make money rather than welcome guests. Having come from the Hilton in Gdansk where nothing was too much trouble and there were no extra costs for any of the above we were surprised to find a hotel of similar quality differing so much.
Very bad room service. We waited over an hour for our order. There was no coffee, milk or toilet paper either.
The only thing we didn't like was we paid extra for a room with a sea view. When we looked out our window it was very hard to see the sea as there were large trees blocking our view. They would not change the rate of our room even though it really wasn't a sea view. They could not move us the first night, but were able to the second night. Our view from the second room was better, but there were still trees blocking some of the view. I also wish the rooms had a real balcony, there are doors that open, but there is only about 6 inches of balcony to stannd on.
Friendly staff and the comfiest bed I have slept in
The quality of the place and the pool indeed. Late checkin time 2pm and early checkout 10am !
The best is the bed, very comfortable. Also, the free internet in the room is ok. Very nice building (hystorical). Lack of english language channels on tv. The central heating system didn't work in first instance, but they fixed it somehow. The internet also couln't work until somebody fixed it. Room service didn't answer several times. Anyway, the resort is more populated in the summer because of the sea side.
Our suite #214 - one of the biggest rooms in the whole hotel! And the individual exclusive feeling of staying in such a historical hotel! If the walls could speak... We ordered food to the room (room service) and it didn´t fullfill the expecations of a 5-star hotel. Plain and standard taste unfortunately...
The Room was so dirty. We had the same problem last year when we stayed in the same hotel.
Beautiful building and high standard of finish inside, rooms very comfortable and elegantly furnished. Staff very polite and willing to please. I liked the breakfast buffet whihc had a wide variety plus chef cooked breakfast option at no extra cost. 1. Food (dinner) and dining service in this hotel is fair but not up to other European 5 Star hotels and certainly should be better for the price. 2. Although my room was impressively furnished, the bed gave me serious back ache after just one night. I do not have problems with my back and would suggest the bed is too soft 3. No foreign exchange available in such a large and expensive hotel! 4. The Internet connection was so slow it was virtually unusable
Most comfortable beds in Europe!!!
Lower price - price in Poland for the type of Hotel to high - I have been in other hotel in Gdansk (Novotel) also close to the beach like Sofitel -and the diffirent in price is to high - We are not getting much more at Sofitel compare to Novotel - and the price at Sofitel is more than 25 % more expencive When we have to go to the beach you have to work around the hole hotel - there is no directly entrance to the beach h
swomming poll and sauna
Sea view, bath robes, luxurious cosmetics, excellent bed and bed linnen, tea and coffee in the room low quality TV, room layout, uncomfortable bar area with the unpleasant smell from the restaurant, no lobby/lauch/relaxing area with sea view. From 5 star hotel being so expensive I expected much more, however the view from the window compensated for everything
Hotel location, services, style No smoking areas in all the hotel parts
Friendly staff and spacious rooms Small breakfast area, but good food.
The hotel is lovely and the location is terrifice. If I returned to Gdansk, I would definately stay there again. Abosolutely no complaints.
Excellent location right in the centre of Gdansk, very friendly stuff. Highly recommend! Nothing
Excellent beds and service. -
The Radisson blu is the best hotel i have stayed at.The staff are the best superb i would recommend this hotel to anyone first class.
The location was perfect. The staff was so helpful. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast one of the best I have seen in a hotel with breakfast.
Very good service No spa and the price of the garage
Great location. friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms.
Room was very comfortable and quiet. Hotel is very well situated for the main shopping area and waterfront. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
staff were very helpful, location great and rooms very comfortable - no criticisms or complaints.
staff help was high standard not bathroom needed maintenance, hair dryer didnt work
It was very confortable and staff was very pleasent.
Breakfast price was somewhat on the expensive side
Best showers ever. Free internet. Comfortable beds. Good bar. Central location. Breakfast good, but little variety:same every day. The reception area is probably the worst design I have ever seen in a hotel. Impossible to sit and relax, not to mention ugly decor. Bedroom seating very uncomfortable.
Clean, room, location The cost of the reservation differed from the amount I have paid.
good breakfast, kind staff, good location, clean, good rooms, cheap nothing
Good location, nice rooms, helpful staff. Renovation work, nothing was said before we booked. Bar was gone on our 2nd day!!!
Please write at least 15 words The food was poor quality via room service
Proffesionalism of the staff. Design of hotel corridors :)
hotel is clean and in good area for going about gdansk with plenty to do
The reception staff were courteous and friendly, they spoke good English On several occaisions there was a bad smell from the toilet and sink.
Staff were friendly and helpful ,in all areas Was at weekend ,but seating at Breakfast was not organised ,all tables basically full ,timing maybe out on arrival etc . Not sure how to improve though ,as tables were efficiently cleaned . Hotel Bar closes at 10pm ,unless you are sitting at Bar ,so goi
The Hotel has a lovely location, generous well furnished rooms. The restaurant is excellent. I would strongly reccomend this Hotel and will definatley stay again when in Gdansk.
Was a clean and comfortable hotel. Lovely breakfast. Average dinner, expensive for what was offered. Not much happenning within walking distance of the hotel. Bedding did not fit bed.
luxorious and spacy room, peaceful surroundings the restaurant was overpriced compared to quality of the portions. The breakfast personal didn`t tell there is a cook making omelets in one of the rooms. On leaving day there was water break all morning so we had to leave the hotel with dirty feeling and without shower or spa. However no discount on price was given even that I asked.
Very well furnished and equipped No outside possibility after sauna. It was a shame about the building site noise early in the morning during our stay.
the location was relaxing and quite just a bit far to the attractions in Gdansk
the ambiance; the beautiful location
Restaurant was excellent. Friendly staff. Fitness centre. This is important for me and the weight training facilities were almost non existant. So how can one call it a fitness centre and gym? Excellent running through the forest though!
A beautiful hotel with one of the best included breakfasts I have seen during my travels in Poland. Beautiful pool, sauna, spa. Housecleaning removed a personal item from my room and disposed of it. By the time I realised it was gone I was told it was impossible to get back. Was not really happy with the explanation or apology. Marred an otherwise perfect stay.
nice rooms, good ambiance parking not convnient
very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff
Very nice atmosphere at the hotel. Hotel is located near main street where you can find a lot of good restaurants, pubs and bars. Lack of parking lot which belongs to the hotel. In the offer it was mentioned that the price includes spa treatment. Spa was open only on fri until 9:00 and treatment lasted only 10 min!
A rea pleasure to stay in this hotel: friendly staff, luxurious decoration, very nice bar, complementary drink and spa visit, excellent breakfast, perfect location... Just an occasion to pamper yourself. One person room was rather on the small side.
Locality of the hotel
Location and the view from the hotel to the main walking area - splendid. You are right in the centre of action. The hotel overall is quite nice. Still - there are a lot of small details that the management should pay attention to. Service - people servicing you are somewhat too relaxed and not attentive or smiling. Food - could be more diversified. And tasty. Cleaning - it seems that the vacuum cleaners are not used. The powder that fell on the floor on Friday was still there on Monday.
Central and very helpfull people. My friend got a dry chicken.he got a free pivo for it.he should better be offered free dinner. no extra-no business.
Facilities and the brekfast No
The most unfriendly receptionist I ever met. Nice rooms. Nice Bathroom
It was very conveniently located. It had a nice restaurant and pub attached. Breatkfast was very good. Rooms were nice but small. I would not rate this as a 5 star. I would stay here again. Room was small.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff everything was fine
The reception desk staff were very helpful & the breakfast was supberb in comfortable surroundings.
This hotel has an excellent location for exploring Gdansk. The staff are very friendly and helpfull as is the owner. The rooms and food are of a high standard, in fact we could not find fault with anything.
We spent absolutely fantastic time in Hotel Podewils. I would highly recommend this place to everybody as the service, room, food, everything was as perfect as it could be.
The location was excellent. The service ethic of the staff was the best I have experienced. The price was a choker!
Great restaurant to go with this cozy and luxurious hotel Too expensive compared to local alternatives
high standard of service offered by the staff. Restaurant appeard pricy .
This was a fantastic small hotel. The room was very well furnished with antique style items, and was cosy and comfortable. We had views across the river to the city skyline and Gdansk's famous crane. The breakfast service was the best I have experienced. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help with small queries. I would happily stay here again.
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Very spacious and bright rooms. Immensely enjoyed breakfast in the garden, next to the river with a nice view of the old town.
lovely hotel,nice and helpfull staff
The standard of the room and the hotel environment The first morninhg, the water rpessure was so low and the temperature so cool as to be just about bearable to use for showering and shaving. The second morning (perhaps being earlier or quieter?) it was fine.
We had a very nice stay, thanks to a very professional and service minded staff. Quiet location close to the yact harbour and old city. Perfect food and service. Breakfast in beautiful outdoor surroundings. Marit & Asbjørn, Norway
It was very nice. Good breakfest. Nice personal. Helpful. Gdansk is a very interesting and charmful city. The rooms was very nice. It was very near the main-city, but still not to close. Very nice with "cooling" system in the rooms, nice climath controll. Maybe more tv-channels on English? And more stabile WIFI. I found an old sock from someone else under the bed.
Very nice, brand new hotel. Great value for money!! Splendid breakfast. Nothing
Excellent buffet breakfast, friendly breakfast staff Lack of local knowledge.
I like the hotel a lot, tha staff were very helpful and friendly. Although I had no time to do sights, but I can tell the Old Town is within walking distance. The wifi worked fine. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of soap/shower gel that was provided in the room (mine was single). Also, I think the price of breakfast (1/3 of the price of the room) was a little bit exaggerated and seemed another hidden extra cost of the room that is not listed on the website and that majority of people will pay anyway.
breakfast offer is fantastic there is no bar at the hotel
Up to date with spacious rooms and an excellent bathroom. A wide selection of polish delicatessen on the breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Best of all the hotel is so close to the historical city center that one could crawl back after to much of the tasty local vodka's
Noisy front side of the hotel, the breakfast room was full with a group of German tourists and I had to line up for 10-15 minutes.Groups should be put in a separate breakfast area.
modern, clean, warm and welcoming. it is in a good position near the old town. the staff were very efficient and friendly. i would have liked more information about gdanzk. ie a guide book. we was given a map which did help. we also picked up a free guide book from a bar which gave us a guided walk and gave us the history of the interesting buildings. i think that this information would have helped us on our short stay.
close to the Old Town, nice room, nice staff there are stairs between reception desk and elevators - if you have a heavy bag, it may be quite difficult to walk through
The central situation close to the railway station, the airport bus and the centre of the city. I have no negative comments.
The location was excellent - close to railway station. I had arrived on a late flight so was glad to reach hotel safely and quickly. Everything fine.
The friendliness and professional manner of the staff Nice comfortable room, the fact it was near Gdansk main station, good choice of food for breakfast.
Comfortable and convenience, located close to main station and old town
Excellent location (and for a good price): Almost at the bus stop from/to the airport (a 34 minute ride and 0.75 euros); Next door to a large multiplex-cinema; In front of the railway station; 5-10 minute walking to old town center. Very quiet rooms (facing the back); Two computers to use free (with a printer); very good breakfast. No decaf coffee at the coffeemaker in the room.
Very good and big breakfast buffet. Comfortable rooms. The hotel is located in the center of Gdansk close to the railway and bus station.
Great location across from main train station and short walk to tourist areas. Comfortable and clean room. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Overall great stay.
I don't speak Polish but the reception and restaurant staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful and friendly. One even came to my room to explain how to operate the safe. The room was clean and well maintained and equipped. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and very well presented. I stayed on a Saturday night and was horrified to find that an all-night disco was located just a few yards from my bedroom window. In the event, the double-glazing and air conditioning blocked out all the noise but I was woken about 3am. by the vibrations of the bass beat from the disco. Fortunately, I was able to get to sleep again but I think it might be best if guests were not put in that room on nights when the disco is operating, unless of course the hotel is full, which it was not on this occasion.
Overnight stay was purely for business and the hotel satisfied the requirement for a bed and sleep Restaurant - too crowded.
Central of the city near train station
convenient location , helpful and friendly staff .
