The hotel is located near the city railway station. This is a very convenient location for those who plan move to nearby towns. Also hotel close to the beautiful city park, which is very attractive for hikers. Hotel rooms have modern design, good furniture. Accommodation in Deluxe Double Room is quite expensive. In addition, the cost does not include breakfast.
Ideallly placed in the centre of Breda for walks into the centre
peaceful,comfortable room, friendly staff,lovely breakfast,good facilities
Very convenient next to the trainstation and also a very nice hotel.
Several visits to Breda but the Mercure has al ways been good.
It was noisy and not well isolated. I could hear the people on the level above me.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast, close to city center
Excellent service especially at the reception desk. Breakfast quality also excellent.
The staff was very friendly. We had a warm welkcome and felt 'home' immediately. We had a wonderfull dinner; the breakfast was very nice as well. The room was amazing! There was nothing I did not like during my stay. Only thing I was confused about, was the distance to the city centre. On the booking.com website it says that it's walking distance, but when we looked at the map, it did not seem like that.
In comparison to other four star hotels, this hotel does not worth it (at least for standard rooms).
Very convenient location by railway station. Comfortable room. Quiet. Computer with internet connection for guests not working. 15 Euro for breakfast rather high so I walked to the station and bought a croissant.
The rooms were small but comfortable and the staff were helpful and cheerful.the town centre has lots of shops and restaurants and was clean and friendly. The lift was rather old fashioned.
Nice area Checking in at hotel 50m away
the bedroom was really comfortable no
excellent clean bathroom No
Helpful staff. The loud music from the bar next door.
quiet and relaxing
The heating was not working properly
Very convenient in centre of town with good local bars and restaurants, but still quiet. Friendly staff. Very pleasant town.
Huis ten Bosch has an excellent location in Etten-Leur and the car parking facilities as arranged by the hotel are very convenient. Perhaps visitors require a little more information regarding the opening and closing times of the car park. I was unaware of the early closing time of the car park on a Sunday evening and could no longer get access to get clothes out of the car after arriving. However, our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.
It's lively nature. It's location is within walking distance from many resturants and some stores. The staff are very helpful, polite and pleasent making you feel part of their family. It's built in traditional dutch style with steep ladders and no elevator which might be a concern for heavy packers.
It's a nice hotel. Was just one problem. I didn't know that there staying mostly old people to take a rest :). I'm 40 years old and prefer other kind of hotel.
large rooms, peaceful, desk staff helpful and spoke good english
The location was ideal for my meeting. It was also an excellent location to enjoy a nice walk along the paths near the hotel.Overall a good location......large room & very spacious bathroom facilities. Great value!
I had a very nice stay in this hotel. Standard rooms are though standard, comfortable, spacious and clean, with large bathroom. Past year I stayed in their so called superior rooms which are magnificent and also very affordable (this time fully booked). Very nice restaurant with a wide range of French- international dishes. Relaxing wellness centre (with sauna & swimming pool). Extensive breakfast buffet (fresh orange juice). Strategically situated just 5 minutes from Tilburg as well as Breda. Friendly staff. Very recomendable! none really
The children (10 and 9 years old) wanted to swim on Wednesday morning at 8am before we headed home but were not allowed to do so until 11am. Even though I was willing to oversee them they were disappointed not to have a swim before going home
nice spacious room... even though we only had a standard. Big ensuite bathroom with a bath and a shower. swimming pool not open all day... had some strange opening times.
Large very clean room in quiet location, although within yards of motorway network. Good food. My room was in a block some way from reception. No air con and windows could not be opened. Breakfast is expensive.
During my stay no WIFI due to problems with hotel provider
I had to stay there because it was close to my meeting the next day - I didn't like anything aboout it - an awful roadside motel with rude staff and paperthin walls. The staff provide 0 service - no one to help with luggage, no mini bar just a fridge at reception, no vanity kit in the room, awful sound insulation, the whole floor stank of cigarette smoke. Uncomfortable beds and bedding with a stink of chlorine. The question is why did your site give this "hole" 4 out of 5 circles? That is misinformation! friendliness of staff, complimentary use of internet (wireless) I would like to propose to add a small bar (mini refrigerator) for drinks and snacks Most hotels have this in each guest room. Also, for business guests, an exercise room would be an added feature
The restaurant food is fantastic! Bring your own alarm clock. Wake up call is prompt, but if you prefer to use your own, there is not a clock / alarm in the room.
I really enjoy the employees. The Hotel is small enough that they remember you and always are pleasant and helpful. There is nothting that I do not like about the hotel. Sometimes I wish that there was a coffee shop so you could have a small quick meal instead of the restaurant dining room. Although the food is excellnet in the dining room, it takes a long time to dine. There is one small thing I owuld like and that is washcloths. It's a personal thing.
Great restaurant. Very nice breakfast. Plenty of free parking space. Comfortable room. No mini bar. Bed covers too small.
i do not like the breakfast the beacon and sausages are of poor quality its so boaring and needs a change
Size of room, service, good shower
It was near the company I was visiting.
restaurant very good. room was a little old in design
Good location, friendly staff; good restaurant; very nice, large, quiet room with jacuzzi. Somewhat unattentive staff at breakfast in the morning.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Good food and situated in a wonderful, peaceful location but within easy walking distance to most parts of Breda.
We felt very welcomed by your friendly staff from the minute we arrived. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast included in the room rate. The outside terrace was very relaxing to sit and enjoy a meal and glass of wine in the country atmosphere. We felt that the bathroom was poorly lit over the mirror and that could be improved for better visiblily.
The room was excellent and the situation was very good We were disappointed wit the restaurant
The beeches around the hotel NA
Close to Efteling, lovely comfortable room & friendly bar/restaurant
The restaurant offers good food. The hotel did not have a free WIFI access. For the price (100 euro/night) you should have free access to the Internet. This was very disappointing.
The classic style and beautiful location at the edge of a wonderful forest; the staff is a team of wonderful young and energetic people, friendly and accomodative. The beakfast and restaurant and its service was outstanding! On Saturday 9/25 a noisy party was held in one of the ball rooms until a very late hour; the guests were adviced in advance of this party, but the hotel should have kept the rooms directy above the ball room vacant. This was not done and was in fact a grave error! It is bad business practice not to give up on the revenue of a few rooms above the ball room and to damage the reputation of a classic quiet and respectable hotel. This is not a complaint but a sound business management advice to a potentially lovely hotel!
Generally I liked the hotel but most of all the warmth of the staff! Since the toilet was in a seperate room, it should have had a hook so you could put a towel for your hands.
In City Center, clean and quiet. Excellent breakfast. Parking garage was a few hundred meters walk.
Breakfast. Clean and tidy rooms. Quiet City. Coffee shops. Nope
Great location, nice rooms, reasonably priced and very good breakfast to start your day with. The rooms are missing a mini bar which for a business traveler would be nice to have.
Warm welcome at reception
for a modern hotel its just what you would expect. very comfy bed and best hotel breakfast ever! we had a road side room which was very noisy, especially as it was harley day!
Great location.extensive buffet brekfast. nice to have a tea tray in the good size well appointed room. We would definatly use this hotel again. we have always been satified with Golden Tulip inns and hotels.
Close to center. Good lay out of the room, for 3 beds.
Cleanliness, situation, breakfast too big pillows
Able to provide food for late arrival - up to 2230 hrs. Asked for non smoking and that was all that was available.Roomm and bathroom very dirty. Toilet stained, shower very dirty.
Any 3 stars hotel around Breda, is better than this one. If you have one problem in your room they will invite you to check out instead of solve the problem! Service/Staff really no professionals.
Rooms were very clean and the staff were really friendly. There are no double rooms. All twins. But the rooms were really comfortable anyway.
the privacy liked all
The hotel is easy to get to from the main road system going through Roosendaal Building work being carried out reduced the size of the car parking area.
The Beer and Dart Room were excellent no
Clean and comfortable room, good shower. Excellent selection for breakfast. Reasonable value for money. No specific secure bicycle parking.
The hotel looked nicer than it does on the website. The restaurant & lunch box service are wonderful. Professional & friendly service, cosy hotel. The car park was very useful and spacious. It was harder to find than I thought. You need to look out for the sign in the sky rather than for the building at eye level. The wifi Internet connection was unreliable at the time of my visit but they were working on it.
near to the motorway and good value would have liked a double bed
mini bar was not restocked, nor coffee or creamers. Shower inadequate as it soaked the bathroom. Restaurant food very basic.
Resonably sized room, good bathroom. Traffic noise. High room temperature, despite moderate/cool outside temperature.
Good sized comfortable room; the restaurant and bar provided a nice atmosphere to relax in and we had an excellent meal which was not too expensive. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Location Miscommunication between the employees regarding the payment of the rooms.
close to moterway, good value for money they ask if you want smoking room.I book luxary room and smoking rooms do not exist , Only in standard rooms. they should make that clear
Nice Hotel, quite, clean and cheap. Exellent wi-fi connection, easy parking.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Being a light sleeper, having a room facing the commuter train station interrupted my sleep.
Enough parking places just in front of the hotel door. Secure entrance to the floor with keycard. 10-minute drive to city centre (otherwise 45 minutes on foot as told by the receptionist). The internet connection was ok (you just need to ask the receptionist for the password). We got a standard room (the hotel has two sides, and we were at the side where there are 2 storeys), facing to office towers (it was ok not noisy). We had two single beds because the receptionist told us they didn't have double beds. It was ok we just needed to put the two beds together ourselves. However, the beds and the pillows were too soft and we had backache the next morning. Luckily we just stayed there for one night. Overall, if we could choose again, we would have paid a bit more to stay at a Campanile than Bastion Breda.
Hotel is situated very close to my Office no
wireless internet acces I came in from Atlanta USA that morning, arived at the hotel at 11:00. There was no possibility to get a room for freshing up for my meeting in Antwerpen. All rooms had to be cleaned, not much understanding
It was nice and homely. None
Efficient staff Breakfast was expensive and unless you got down early poorly stocked up.
Friendly, efficient reception staff and warm well appointed room, (though on the small size and only had shower). No, stay was fine.
Close to railway station
Abba Music Dark lobby
rooms ok. Nothing special but good enough and with no surprises.
good room, excellent location, friendly staff but the breakfast is simply horrible. breakfast
Opposite to Train station & bus depots so convenient for further travel into township. It's the first hotel that we've stayed at that didn't have a fridge in the room. We wanted to throw out some rubbish that was neatly in a small box that they wouldn't dump in their large bin???
Staff were helpful and friendly and rooms were clean Breakfast, not very appetising
The room was not properly cleaned before i occupied it. It was very warm and there was no ability to turn the heating off. I informed the hotel that i was working night shift - i culd not gain entry into the hotel for 5 minutes one morning so checked out in the evening and took my luggage to work on the last night as i had an early train. Was not 4 star standard
Size of bed (like a prison cot). Additional charge for internet connection.
The spa area. The carpet in the room was not cleaned prior or during my stay.
!! Non-smoking restaurant !! Should add air conditioning for the summer.
Room , facility is good. Reception people is friendly. Location is not in the center (need a car). Cleaning skill is poor.
The room was nice and spacious, featuring modern design. The location is good if you're travelling further on. Breakfast not very rich, but nice quality. The fact that you cannot access the Spa area unless you are completely naked is absolute nonsense and discrimination!
Good hotel, staff very helpful with nice bar area. The hotel is too far away from the city centre for a walk with nothing of interest close by.
Modern design, very light spacious and airy public areas. Helpful reception staff, restaurant menu and food quality very good. Access road not well signposted and car park and hotel entrance could be easier to find. During my stay, wind conditions meant constant draught and noise under room door.
Location and value for money
Size and cleaniless of room Coffee and tea were at extra cost
Friendly staff, clean room and bathroom, nice hotel overall. Hotel is close to the highway thus very easy access. No A/C in room, but big room and windows so it was cool enough (although it wasn't a warm night either).
Comfortable Food good but expensive. Need a car to move around since it´s on a location outside town.
Most of it
Friendly Staff N/A
The staff was very friendly The bed was of very poor quality. The room was way too small for 2 persons
As before staff always helpful and pleasant, breakfast very good and great choice, room clean and comfortable
Pool and restaurant Beds, and room cleaning service
The swimming pool. The heaters were not working. The rooms were cold. No hairdryer. No minibar. The price was 98 euro per room were too much for this.
Friendly helpful staff, very clean rooms, breakfast included in room price was very substantial, lots of choice, nice restaurant and bar area and pool and sauna great. Would definitely stay again.
Breakfast generous and varied, staff did their best (see below) Noisiest & worst night ever, also for the staff , who responded promptly, re. Next room problem, continued to monitor/ intervene - well done the manager. Large group of children rampaging into the small hours, unsupervised by parents drinking in the bar, were his nightmare too - not hotel's fault but hopefully you will complain to their school/group/parents.
I found the hotel to be clean and reasonable value for the money. I would consider staying there again in the future
Breakfast was very good: there was a bottle of champagne on display so we asked the waitress to open it -- and she did :-)
The room was amazing with a large luxurious bathroom. Food in the resteraunt was superb. Information about wifi being avalaible was incorrect, this was a key selection crietera and was inconvient
The hotel is well located in the centre of town with adequate public parking nearby. Our room was quite spacious and had a very good, large bathroom. Our room was up two flights of very steep stairs, one set of stairs was very narrow, but we were not offered any help with our luggage, even though the receptionist accompanied us to the entrance, which was at the side of the main building.
the staff were very friendly and helpful no english on the menu's
the restaurant and location of the hotel
A small comfortable family run hotel which was based around dinning rather than accomadtion. From your room you had to walk out into the street to get to the hotel proper. Not good in snowy and icy conditions.
The room was large and spacious... that was very nice. The personnel for the most part was very unfriendly, not professional, or helpful. The managers seemed very kind ... the servers in the restaurant .. very very poor, will not go back because of them. I will try another hotel before retuning th this one.
Location, design and decoration, large rooms, friendly staff with good English spoken, clean, neat and tidy. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, quite noisy at night (people and traffic) very steep stairs, difficult of less able guests, only one vegetarian option on dinner menu.
Lot of noise ( road and compressor for hotel) and windows with only one glass
The restaurant The room was in an annex, not same style as the main establishment. our car was close to be tossed, due to inadequate info from the hotel
Everything, comfort, quality, helpful staff tea and coffee facilities and good value.
very large and comfortable room, good breakfast
The hotel is very well organised, friendly staff who know what they are doing. The restaurant serves excellent food.
The decor was beautiful and the evening meal in the restaurant was excellent no
for nine nights, the pillow cases & sheets were not changed.
the large room and bathroom no special shower, there was shower in the bath instead seperated.
Clean, modern and comfortable. Expected the restaurant to be better. It was ok, but only average.
the room size is wonderful-not at all typical EU style; plus in room air conditioning controls. Restaurant food is quite nice; very nice breakfast buffet as well. I could hear a rooster in the daytime, but it did not bother me in the night. It is right off the A-16 but I did not hear any traffic noise either.
Spaciousness of room Air-conditioned. Good location at main highway. But bathroom is large empty space, could have had separate shower stall, now high-sided bath tub only which is problematic if you are not athletic. Poor ventilation of bathroom. No fridge in room. No ice cube machine. No glasses (flimsy plastic cup only). Advertises to be 4 star hotel but is not. Unattentive and poor service in restaurant and bar. No phone book / yellow pages in room.
Sufficient free parking space
close to Antwerpen
ability to work in room in comfort
the sex in the shower didn't clean room
The hotel location is close to the highway A16 and is very easy to find. The people at the reception are helpfull and friendly. The price is for what is offered high, but this is the standard for the Netherlands.
Friendly staff, good meal service even later in the evening, nice architecture. Not so far away from the Highway, it's OK for a pit stop as well as city tour. Wireless was NOT for free, and it is not so exciting for a so high level hotel.
Tea/coffee making facilities in room I wanted to make a reverse charge telephone call from my room but hotel receptionist took half an hour to find out how to do it. Even then he could not connect me to the operator. Eventually I had to make the call from a public phone in Reception
A really nice hotel, very friendly staff, good food, an extremely good breakfast buffet, very children friendly, spacy room at a good price The beds could be better
The room was very quiet. No sounds from other rooms, highway or whatever.
Sheets needed repairing...
Bed was very comfortable. There was no provision of either soap, toothbrush or toothpaste. Also no drinking water was available either in the room or foyer.
location is not good for those who do not drive
Clean, clean towels every day, hot water and good shower, good parking, helpful staff when available. Comfortable bed. English TV No clothes hangers. Noisy guests kept us awake into early hours on Saturday night. Blood on stairs overnight and all day Friday. Poor choices for breakfast. Door card kept needing re-programming. No tea/coffee making facilities. Pillows too small. A liitle too basic - like a prison cell.
nothing. cold hotel, very industrial no staff at night , very cold and unpleasent
The cheapest hotel around. You have free parking place and free internet. In constrast to comments that rooms are cold and there is no towels, one can adjust the heater temperature, towers and soap were present, the room was cleaned on the second day. For the price you get a very basic room (cheap interior). The breakfast is quite basic (toasts, butter, 1 sort of sausage and 1 cheese, coffee/tea, milk/cereals, orange and apple juice).
No problems and easy to use Cost of Wi Fi - Should be free !!
helpful staff, clean rooms
The room is very clean, every day is clean towel.
very easy access to breda, nice comfotable room for price
