Pros:Very comfortable flight, and water and peanuts were provided. Crew very pleasant and keen to please.
Cons:We were all waiting at gate 39 for someone to take us out to the plane. Someone finally came out five minutes after the plane was scheduled to leave, only to tell us that we had to wait another 20 minutes or so to board! We ended up waiting almost an hour after the boarding time, most of which we had no idea what what going on. I called up customer assistance, and the assistant was not very helpful, taking a long time to come up with answers, and finalising her answer with LAX "doesn't have a shuttle bus", even though the sign for gate 39 said otherwise. No solution was provided, only that "your flight should be arriving soon". None of this information was provided on the flight status section of the Boutique Air website.

Pros:Best discovery on the west coast! Great personnel, spacious for a small plane, great views. So happy to have tried Boutique!
Cons:If flying to LAX be prepared to have plenty of time to make connection. I had to get my carry on bag through baggage claim which added unexpected wait.

Pros:The pilots were awesome!
Cons:I would have liked them to double check seating arrangements when there is assigned seating. My co-passengers did not care to follow the directions of their assigned seating, which is important to balance weights. I was a little nervous as there were significant weight differences in passengers. 120-350+ pounders. Also, I wasn't disgusted, however the inside was a bit dingy. Could use a little scrub down to get rid of the dirt on the seats. Had an old appearance, definitely not the luxurious look you see on their website!

Cons:The flight was supposed to leave out of Cortez at 6am, the pilot showed up at 620am, and we did not depart untill 635am. Because of this, we missed our next flight out of Denver. There was no reason this flight should have been this late. When attempting to talk to boutique air staff at the airport and on the phone there was nothing they could do. 1. Because we "choose" to fly and 2 bc it was bought through a 3rd party. No one was able to help us. Unfortunately our next flight to Omaha only departs every 2 days. The closest they could get us to home was 7hrs away from our car at the airport. It was not frontier fault that we missed our next flight, it was clearly boutique air. The pilot in Cortez was a complete jerk, had no sense of time or urgency. If we are required to show up 90 minutes early, so should the pilot. We were stranded in Denver unless we wanted to buy all new tickets for around $800 or wait 2 days for next flight . I was very mad at boutique and their staff was less than accommodating or understanding. Very poor service. They would not own anything because flight was bought through kayak.

Pros:I flew Boutique from Nashville to Greenville for a business meeting and flew back the same day. I could not have imagined it being any better for the price point of the flight. That was the first time being on a plane that small and I actually like it much better than flying on the larger jets just for the fact that there are far less people. There is no waiting for your zone to board. People are not falling on top of you to put things in the over head bin and so on so on. This flight almost felt like just hopping in your personal car and arriving at your destination a hour and a half later. I would highly recommend this airline and if they and would really like it if they started a flight from Nashville to either Pensacola or Mobile.

Overview of Boutique Air

Boutique Air offers direct point-to-point services across the United States with a focus on regional destinations. Operating an unconventional model, the airline does not have an operating hub; however, it is based in San Francisco. Many of its flights connect rural communities with larger regional locations and the airline has received support from the Essential Air Service program for this reason.

An intimate and luxurious travel option, cabins are designed to seat either 8 or 9 passengers. Seats are made of cushioned leather materials and provide significant legroom. The layout on some aircraft includes seats that face each other, making it ideal for business trips. Seats are not pre-assigned, meaning that they are decided upon boarding. Arriving early may offer you the privilege of picking your preferred seat.

Passengers are allowed to bring either a carry-on bag or a piece of checked luggage, which must not exceed 50 lb. A personal item such as a laptop or handbag is also permitted. Recognized as America’s fastest airline by Forbes in 2019, Boutique Air offers a premium service that is not lagged down by the size of commercial competitors. Boarding and disembarking are streamlined processes.

A combination of Pilatus and Beechcraft planes make up the Boutique Air fleet. Models such as the Pilatus PC-12 and Beechcraft King Air 300 are flown, which feature turboprop engines. The Pilatus aircraft are smaller with a single propeller, while the Beechcraft are longer with an additional propeller. The cabins have customized soundproofing so that you can get some solid rest while in the air.
