Email Domains

Restrict users to only travelers with the same email domain.

  • If you are a company with multiple domains, you can click “add a domain” until all domains are covered. You may add up to 3 domains for your company..
  • If you try to set up a user with a domain not listed, you will get an error message. To add a user with a domain not listed, you will have to add them as a “Guest”. More on this in the Manage Users section.

 

In order to complete domain setup, you will have to validate each domain.

Note: If you opt to auto create users within your SSO setup, new users who attempt to login against a domain that has only been entered and not validated will be denied access.

There are 3 validation options:

  1. Receive a verification code through company email
  2. Validate using a DNS code
  3. Validate using your web server

Option 1: Request a verification code

A 6-digit verification code will be sent to whichever email address you select from your user list.

Once you’ve entered this verification code you will see this banner on your company details page as well as receive an email confirming you successfully verified that domain.

 

Option 2: Validate using a DNS Record

What is a DNS Record? A DNS record indicates the IP address associated with a particular domain.

If you opt for this option, you will need to follow some steps within your own DNS manager. Once you’ve created the new TXT record as prescribed in the tool, K4B will search for that record. However, it can take up to 24 hours until this record is found. K4B will continue to search automatically and once found will alert the admin by email confirming the domain has been verified.

 

Option 3: Validate using your web server

This final validation option requires you to add a text file to your web server. Follow the instructions as prompted in K4B. Once completed, K4B will search for that text file. If it’s not found right away, K4B will continue to check automatically. If found, an email alert will be sent to the admin confirming the domain has been verified.
