Hilton Honors

Overview: Hilton® also offers Hilton HonorsTM members 10 points for every dollar spent with most of their 18 brands. Based on membership tiers, individual travelers receive access to special amenities during their stay at Hilton® properties including free Wi-Fi, digital check-in, and “choose your room” capabilities for entry-level members.

Points accrued from stays are available for use on a variety of rewards like free nights, rental cars, airline miles, shopping purchases, and VIP entertainment passes.

Hilton’s partnership with Lyft, a popular ride-sharing application, also allows travelers to earn reciprocal benefits that can be redeemed with both companies.

 

Businesses and individual travelers can receive enhanced perks if they sign up for one of Hilton’s co-branded credit cards with American Express®.

The base Hilton HonorsTM American Express® card comes with automatic Silver elite status and 7x points on purchases made at Hilton® properties. From there, the Hilton HonorsTMAmerican Express® Surpass Card offers Gold elite status and 12x points on qualifying stays. 

At the top of the list, the Hilton HonorsTM American Express® Aspire Card grants cardholders with Diamond elite status and 14x points, totaling 100% in bonuses on eligible Hilton® stays. Plus, there’s the Hilton HonorsTM American Express® Business card, which allows companies to earn 12x points on Hilton® reservations and 6x bonus points on certain business and travel purchases. The annual fees for these co-branded cards range from $0-$450 depending on the type

Hyatt – World of Hyatt

World of Hyatt® loyalty members get 5 base points for every dollar they spend on eligible purchases. Exclusive rates are made available from the moment of sign up. 

 

Counting base membership status, the program includes 4 elite status tiers with improving benefits. Those who reach Discoverist and Explorist status enjoy perks like premium internet, bottled water, late check-out, and room upgrades. At the highest tier, Globalist members receive all of the previously listed advantages plus club access, free parking on free nights, priority access to rooms, and guest of honor status.

Once travelers are ready to cash in their points with Hyatt, they can be redeemed on bonuses such as free nights, all-inclusive stays, entertainment packages, and meetings or events. Airline miles and rental car purchases are also an option for high earners.

To rack up even more points, businesses may choose to sign up for the World of Hyatt® Business Credit Card that offers a total of 9 points for every dollar spent on qualifying transactions. In addition to automatic Discoverist status, cardholding companies will get five free nights with every $10,000 spent in a calendar year. An annual fee of $199 is required.

IHG Hotel – Business Rewards

Companies registered with IHG® Business Rewards earn 3 points for every dollar spent when booking on behalf of others. That includes meetings and events if you reserve space with one of their properties. After making it to Elite status, points are available to be redeemed for free stays and select merchandise.

Individual travelers can join IHG® One Rewards free of charge. Base members have access to perks like exclusive rates and late-check out privileges when staying at their 6,000+ participating locations.

As frequent guests reach the designated points and nights thresholds, they move between four other elite status tiers: Silver Elite, Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, and Diamond Elite. Silver Elite and Gold Elite members receive 20-40% bonus points on qualifying purchases and benefits including free internet, no blackout dates, and no expiration for points.

 

Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite members get 60-100% bonus points and additional perks such as reward night discounts, guaranteed room availability, complimentary upgrades, welcome amenities, and early check-in when possible.

Marriott – Bonvoy

Signing up for Marriott Bonvoy® opens individual travelers to rewards perks based on the number of eligible nights spent at participating Marriott® locations in a calendar year. Members will automatically receive benefits like exclusive rates, complimentary Wi-Fi, mobile check-in, and mobile room key.

With 10-100 qualifying nights, members achieve Elite status in one of their five other tiers: Silver Elite, Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, and Ambassador Elite. Amenities and benefits during Marriott® stays improve as members move up in status.

Points can be used on everything from free nights, room upgrades, and spa experiences to dining, concerts, and sports games. Thanks to Marriott’s partnerships with other travel suppliers, they are also available to redeem on airline tickets, car rentals, and cruise trips.

To supplement this membership, businesses may want to take advantage of the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® card.

Cardholding companies are granted Gold Elite status and a 7% discount on eligible reservations.

With every dollar spent, 18.5x bonus points will be awarded, plus 2x-4x bonus points on everyday purchases including but not limited to restaurants, gas stations, and telephone providers. The annual fee for this card is currently $125.

Wyndham Rewards

Wyndham Rewards® participants get at least 10 points for every dollar spent at their hotel or vacation club locations. Upon sign up, individual travelers hold Blue membership status that includes perks like free Wi-Fi and discounted rates.

Moving up to Gold membership status requires at least 5 eligible nights to receive preferred room choice, dedicated member services, and late-check out privileges.

Platinum status is reached after 15 nights and comes with early check-in privileges, car rental upgrades, and status matching with Caesar’s Rewards®.

The highest tier, Diamond status, grants access to further benefits such as suite upgrades and welcome amenities when members stay at Wyndham® properties for no less than 40 nights.

On top of all that, businesses can enhance their membership in Wyndham Rewards® with the complimentary Wyndham Business program available to small to midsize companies with transient, volume, and extended stay needs.

Immediately after sign up, member companies can save up to 15% off best available rates at more than 8,900 participating hotel locations. For project-based group travel, member companies earn 4X Wyndham Rewards points per dollar spent at qualifying properties. Access to their support team and business travel tools is included as part of this program.

Best Western Business Advantage

With Best Western Business Advantage®, companies can get 5-10% off best available rates depending on the location of the stay. Eligible companies are also granted a 10% bonus on points accrued by their travelers.

 

Individual travelers will need to sign up for Best Western Rewards® free of charge. 

Members automatically receive access to the exclusive rates around the world. Once Elite status has been reached, travelers get bonus points and special amenities based on which tier they’re in. 

Current promotions state that Blue Elite members earn 10 points for every dollar spent, while Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Diamond Elite, and Diamond Select Elite members collect 10- 50% of the cost of their stay in points.

These points never expire and can be used to redeem free nights on qualifying reservations. Plus, no blackout dates and flexible check-in/check-out times for Elite members in all tiers.

Choice Privileges

At Choice Hotels®, companies that participate in their free business privileges program receive access to discounted rates from day one. Member companies are assigned to a unique corporate ID that can be associated with reservations made by individual travelers. When the individual traveler signs up for rewards with Choice Privileges® and links their account to the corporate ID, they can use the company-exclusive rate and earn points at the same time.

 

Not only do Choice Privileges® members earn up to 10 points for every dollar spent on hotel stays, but they can also choose exactly how their points will be used after qualifying reservations are complete.

Points may be redeemed on everything from free nights to airline miles to gift cards to magazine subscriptions… and more.

Current promotions state that Blue Elite members earn 10 points for every dollar spent, while Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Diamond Elite, and Diamond Select Elite members collect 10- 50% of the cost of their stay in points.

Your team could even designate points to be put towards Uber rides and company dinners.

 

For stays with at least one weeknight (Sunday-Thursday) included, travelers who have selected a rewards preference on the Choice Hotels® website or mobile app will get extra perks in the form of an Amazon.com®, Starbucks®, or Uber® gift card at check in.

Extended Stay America

Extended Stay America provides businesses with access to exclusive rates for different types of businesses including construction, military, government, medical, IT, and more. Additional discounts are available to travel managers for group travel and transient travel. Further details here.

 

Participating companies receive preferred partner pricing on qualifying stays. In addition to these discounts, further savings are available for long-term trips.
