What are BookBoards?
Billboard-sized booking reminders for that one non-committal friend, so the group trip can *finally* escape the group chat.
How much does a BookBoard cost?
They’re free (because you’ve paid enough with your patience).
How do BookBoards work?
Submit a form including your friend’s name, group chat name, trip destination and more at kayak.com/bookboards by August 4, 2026. Beginning August 3, we’ll pick a limited number of entries to go live as digital billboards across New York, Chicago and Los Angeles (with bonus appearances in Time Square). Our team will try to produce as many BookBoards as possible, but we can’t promise every submission will make the cut. Photos of select BookBoards will be shared on our Instagram throughout August.
How long are BookBoards live for?
BookBoards will run through August 16, 2026.
Where are BookBoards located?
Choose from the following areas:
- New York City: Downtown Manhattan, Uptown Manhattan, Harlem, Brooklyn
- Chicago: Downtown Chicago
- Los Angeles: Sunset Boulevard
- Times Square: Broadway and W 47th St
If you aren’t near a main BookBoards city, don’t fret. You can still make a splash in the group chat by placing your BookBoard in Times Square, where submissions from NYC, Chicago and LA will also run for max exposure.
How will I know if my BookBoard is selected?
Watch that inbox – we’ll send you an email if your BookBoard’s picked.
How will I know when my BookBoard is live?
BookBoards go live starting August 3rd. We’ll be sharing images of BookBoards IRL on our Instagram throughout August.
Can I edit my BookBoard?
Sorry, no take backs. Your entry is locked once you hit send.
Why was my BookBoard not selected?
Unfortunately (or fortunately?) we’re a travel search engine, not a billboard-making machine. Our team will try their best to handle as many entries as they can, but if demand’s high we might not be able to fulfill all submissions.
If my BookBoard is picked and I can’t see it IRL, can KAYAK send me a photo?
We’ll be sharing pics on our Instagram throughout August, but we can’t promise every submission will be documented.
Can I nominate the whole chat instead of one person?
We know it might feel weird to single someone out… but this is your chance to single someone out (while keeping it fun). Please limit submissions to individuals, not groups.
