Hello,
New Orleans
The sights, sounds and flavors of NOLA are unlike anywhere else. While we can’t experience them IRL right now, we can get a taste from home.
Rise and shine
If you were *actually* in New Orleans, you’d need to get up at the crack of dawn for a chance to grab the world-famous beignets at Cafe du Monde before the line gets too long. Instead, here are 3 steps to starting your virtual day in NOLA off right (and at whatever time you want).
Just brew it
Coffee in NOLA has a distinct rich flavor. It’s made by adding chicory root to coffee beans. Give it a try at home.

Get cooking
While they won’t be exactly the same as the real thing, try your hand at making your own beignets. Powdered sugar, not optional.
Set the mood
New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz. Settle in and listen to this playlist of local favorites while you get ready to start your day.
Take a tour
Change your setting with a 360° swamp tour. For bonus realism, set up a fan behind your screen and feel the breeze.

Lunchtime
Lunch in NOLA calls for a traditional po’boy. This Louisiana sandwich features meat or seafood piled high on crispy French bread.
Cheers to you
When in NOLA, you’ll probably find yourself at Pat O’Briens, an iconic watering hole, sipping on one of the city’s famous rum cocktails, the Hurricane. Mix one up yourself and enjoy with a side of live music.
Follow the music
You can’t travel to NOLA (even virtually!) without getting your fill of live music – especially jazz. Until you can be there IRL, get a feel for the energy of the NOLA music scene from home.
