One of my favorite cities for strolling around all day until the street lights turn on, Paris is a wonderful place for aimless crisscrossing until you find that perfect cafe or bakery! I especially love going during the summer when the sun doesn’t set until 9 or 10 pm and the locals are all having wine and cheese along the Seine River.
Previously the mansion of Prince Roland Bonaparte, great-nephew of Napoleon, the Shangri-La Paris is one of the most beautiful and famous luxury hotels in Paris. The Eiffel Tower is just across the river and is visible from many of the rooms. It’ll look so close that you might feel like you can just reach out and touch the Eiffel Tower from your balcony room!
Located within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, this upscale hotel has excellent service, modern rooms, and one of the few in the area with an indoor pool and steam room. The rooms are especially beautiful with large windows opening to spectacular views of Paris. The best rooms are the higher floor rooms that have windows directly facing the Eiffel Tower.
This contemporary boutique hotel is a combination of two properties ‘Adele’ and ‘Jules’ and is located in a great spot to explore the Right Bank of Paris. In addition, it’s on a very quiet street due to street gates blocking off traffic and a great value!
The country that started my travel obsession – Thailand! It really has everything – beaches, jungles, modern city life, friendly locals, and of course amazing food! Start in Bangkok and then branch off to be a beach bum in the south or slow down with easy vibes in Chiang Mai.
With probably the best rooftop pool in all of Bangkok, 137 Pillars is a sleek five star luxurious option for those looking to splurge a bit. The suites are extremely well appointed with large balconies equipped with comfortable daybeds overlooking the city. There are also two fantastic pools at the hotel.
I absolutely loved this resort! The beachfront villa faces the beach, with a private pool and palm trees swaying. Waking up to the view in the morning was something special I’ll never forget. Add in incredible food at the resort restaurant and talented massage therapists at the spa and you’ll never want to leave!
A special place in the jungle about 1.5 hours from Chiang Mai, this eco resort offers a relaxing stay where you can feel good about where your money goes. They have a mission where resort profits go to rescuing and educating at-risk refugees and also caring for over 22 rescue elephants and their babies. I’ve known the owner for over 15 years and she’s an amazing person!
One of the most beautiful resorts I’ve ever stayed at, you can choose from either overwater or on the beach. The food was probably the best I had in the Maldives ranging from fantastic sushi to delicious bakery items. They’ll even set up a private movie screen on the beach along with dinner for you!
I’ve been all over Asia many times over, but for some reason I’ve never explored Korea. That has to change.. hopefully soon! I love exploring the food scene when I travel and Korea is one of the best for that. On top of that, the K-Pop, skincare, and fashion scene is really influencing the rest of the world right now.
I’ve always wanted to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx, sail down the Nile River, and go scuba diving in the Red Sea. Egypt just has so much interesting history – everyone really should visit at least once in their lives.
The last continent I haven’t explored, Australia is full of natural wonders and magnificent cities. The coffee scene there is also one of the best. New Zealand, right next door, is a natural wonderland with epic landscapes. I’d love to spend some time hiking there.
