Plane was nice.

Departure time was 4:55 pm. Arrived through traffic at 4:18. The gate was 50 feet from check in. 50 FEET! They wouldn't check me in, said they close the gate 45 minutes before departure. Never heard of it. All airlines close 10-15 minutes before departure. Spirit left a dozen, people that arrived almost 40 minutes before their flight, in the terminal instead of checking them in and letting them LITERALLY walk around the corner to the gate. No chance or offer to bring these people to TSA to let them catch their flight. 2nd time I've flown with them, 2nd terrible experience. This was it, I, nor any of my entire family will fly with this airline again. Zero compassion.

My return flight was affected by Hurricane Irma. Spirit's first response was understandable under the circumstances, and I felt that they handled it as well as could be expected. They canceled my flight, notifying me about 8 hours prior to the flight, and automatically booked me for a new one for the next day. However, when I arrived for that flight, they cancelled after I was already checked in. The lack of prior notification -- and the fact that it was now two days after the tropical storm -- made me think that this was poorly handled. At that point, I bought a ticket on another airline. Spirit emailed me two $50 vouchers with an apology, which I appreciate, but I plan to contact them for a refund.

My flight was cancelled, and given a flight with a two hour lay-over instead...then my luggage got soaking wet and half of my inventory for a work-related event was completely ruined. THEN my flight got changed AGAIN! In total i spent 3 hours on the phone, 2 1/2 of which was me, sitting on hold. the seats suck. i got insanely and the roof was rattling so bad I thought I was about to get sucked out of the aircraft. S U C K E D!!!!!!!!

There were very few things to compliment on this flight other than a relatively smooth boarding process and a clean airplane.

They charge an exorbitant amount of money for bags and only allow a 40lb maximum. ALL other carriers allow bags up to 50lbs. On top of that they have no refreshments or entertainment on the plane and have stripped their seats to the bare minimum to maximize cost and space. It would definitely be worth a little extra money to fly with a carrier that doesn't try and rip you off at every turn.

Boarding was done according to groups A, B, etc, and went very smoothly and quickly. And the amount of legroom on the plane was amazing! Even in our normal coach seats!

The crew weren't particularly friendly, and they basically just walked down the aisle holding snacks, earphones, etc, and expected you to speak up if you wanted anything. I understand that it does take quite a bit more time to ask each passenger individually what they would like, but it definitely makes you feel valued as a customer! Also, a few more options for entertainment would be awesome :) Also, not enough room for all of the carry on luggage..

Plane was nice.

Departure time was 4:55 pm. Arrived through traffic at 4:18. The gate was 50 feet from check in. 50 FEET! They wouldn't check me in, said they close the gate 45 minutes before departure. Never heard of it. All airlines close 10-15 minutes before departure. Spirit left a dozen, people that arrived almost 40 minutes before their flight, in the terminal instead of checking them in and letting them LITERALLY walk around the corner to the gate. No chance or offer to bring these people to TSA to let them catch their flight. 2nd time I've flown with them, 2nd terrible experience. This was it, I, nor any of my entire family will fly with this airline again. Zero compassion.

There were very few things to compliment on this flight other than a relatively smooth boarding process and a clean airplane.

They charge an exorbitant amount of money for bags and only allow a 40lb maximum. ALL other carriers allow bags up to 50lbs. On top of that they have no refreshments or entertainment on the plane and have stripped their seats to the bare minimum to maximize cost and space. It would definitely be worth a little extra money to fly with a carrier that doesn't try and rip you off at every turn.

My flight was cancelled, and given a flight with a two hour lay-over instead...then my luggage got soaking wet and half of my inventory for a work-related event was completely ruined. THEN my flight got changed AGAIN! In total i spent 3 hours on the phone, 2 1/2 of which was me, sitting on hold. the seats suck. i got insanely and the roof was rattling so bad I thought I was about to get sucked out of the aircraft. S U C K E D!!!!!!!!

Flight cancelled due to flight attendant injury. (?) Offered new flight following morning with no vouchers or concern over where to stay for the night in Boston which is one of the most expensive lodging cities.
