Never thought I’d be able to say this, but the 14 hour flight with two young children in economy was a really enjoyable experience with JAL!"

Cons: "I could not log in in JAL website using mileage account. They said it has been maintanance mode for a while and could not tell when it would be completed. I tried a month later but the problem was not solved. They foward any problems and inquiries to reservation center but calling the number won't find anyone to talk. Always they put me on hold for hours and never reached anyone. I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight...."

Cons: "How about being stranded at Narita Airport due to bad weather AND not helping your passengers rebook. Told us the flight was cancelled at 10:30pm when suppose to fly out at 7:30pm. No trains or hotels available, only way to rebook was through their phone service? Which didn’t open until 8am. Why not rebook at the ticket desk, guess what? You can’t!"

Pros: "The flight was great once we left the ground, however having flown to the destination (Japan) in Premium Economy, the differences in experience were striking."
Cons: "The boarding crew seemed disorganized, the flight boarded 30 mins late and so we were delayed when it came time to taxi and take off. The flight had numerous crying babies on it, it was warm and stuffy once in flight, the crew brought you meals you didn't have a say in ordering and having to sit for an undetermined amount of time with the used tray in front of you really made the modest space even more so. I love JAL but this flight was not one of the better ones for me. Not through any fault of the staff, they are top notch, but certainly this flight ranks as just "okay"."
Pros: "The crew was always super polite and looked very professional and overall just great. The food was delicious, though the portions are small haha. I had my time behind and I was super late to boarding but the crew came looking for me and they were super nice. Definitely recommend them. Miles better than China Airlines and any of the USA based airlines too. The movie selection was pretty good and the seats were roomy and comfortable."

Pros: "Japan Airline is a notch above the rest. The services was constant and consistent, the food was delicious and abundant, and the seats were comfortable. I was surprised at how often they would go up and down the aisles checking on passengers, picking up trash, and serving small food items. To top it off towards the end of the trip they put toothbrushes in the bathroom so you can leave fresh, awesome."

I loved Japan and coming back to the US on a Japanese airline was the best choice! Thanks!"

I liked the special touches such as the small snack and water bar available throughout the flight, and the breakfast Kumamon special. Clean bathrooms are very very appreciated."

Pros: "I had only 30 minutes transaction time at Busan airport, and was not sure that I could catch my plane. The crew at the airport were very helpful, and a lady brought me to the security gate, and run out and checking in for me. With their help, I was able to catch the planes and arrived my destination on schedule. Thank you so much."

This has been my best experience flying to the US from Asia! I would love to take Japan Airlines again as I was incredibly impressed by their services."

Cons: "Due to weather we had to reroute from JFK to IAD. we waited 3 hours for our bags and then were told to get to NYC we had to pay out of pocket and would be reimbursed later. I was injured and in a wheelchair and this was not only a major inconvenience it was also poorly handled for someone who needed additional help. It was every man for himself. I was very disappointed"

Cons: "I bought my ticket last minute not realizing that my lay over in Korea was 12 hours I arrived in Korea at 5:30 am, stayed at the airport , slept , walked, ate, sleep patiently waited for my 1930 boarding I finally boarded and was told in their broken English that I am going to be inspected I was thoroughly searched, my pursed was inspected, my body was inspected ,the asked me to open both of my hands and they run a white strips into my palm( I'm a nurse ) and the first thing that entered my mind was they were checking me for drug screen I am very bothered with what happened , Korean airlines makes their passenger have a long lay over and at the end will be thoroughly searched because she stayed in the airport too long How is Korean airlines going to support this insult!!! Anyone tell ne"

Pros: "After requesting a special meal, the flight attendants made absolutely sure of my identity before passing the meal to me (which was GREAT!). Having the pillow, blanket and headphones ready in place when boarding was considerate of Korean Air. Of course, no matter what, having to ask people to accommodate the requests to use the lavatory got old really fast (I had a window seat) but it's what had to happen. Overall, for such a long flight, the airline is a pleasant one with which to fly."

Cons: "4 hrs delay due to failure of Singapore Airlines to have a working plane on site at the appointed time. Even worse: chaotic deplaning with one crew member telling passengers to deplane and another yelling at them in the bridge for doing so. A mess of lines trying to get a new boarding pass for a rebooked missed connection—at the front of the line the agent said oh, you need to wait in this other line. Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."
Cons: "Screaming children. Totally clueless, rude flight crew. Next time kids are screaming for three hours straight on a red eye, maybe offer the parents some assistance. Makes the “perks” like hot towels seem ridiculous when staff are completely indifferent."

US airline flight attendants don’t even come close to this team that truly serviced the cabin for 8 hours continuously without the typical hiding in the back of the plane and chatting. Very encouraging that genuine care in the air is very much alive and well on Singapore Air! I will fly them every chance I get!"

Air travel doesn’t have to be a cattle herding process with peanut treats on cross country flights - shame on the US carriers - I strongly suggest they fly Singapore Air to see what true customer service feels like!"

Cons: "My first flight of JetBlue from Olandor to New York was delayed that leading to my connecting flights to my destination were missed. Now, my suitcases have been missed, too."
Pros: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."

Cons: "JustFly billed the wrong price, then to fix that,created a new ticket with my name misspelled and failed to cancel the original ticket. We later upgrade seats via Singapore then discovered the duplicate booking and misspelling. To fix that JustFly cancelled the booking with the seat upgrade. Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."

Cons: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

Pros: "Seoul to NYC JFK 1/24/20 trip. This female Korean member was rushing passengers. Which was totally unnecessary. It is necessary to give client some time to get situated. Airline serve all kinds of age group of client. I was watching the way she was serving food, again in a rushed manner? Does she like her job? This is unprofessional. The rest of the crew members were courteous except her. Bad representation of this company."
Cons: "Read above. The food is on the mediocre side. The beef was so hard to chew. The shrimp pasta had 3 pieces of small shrimp. I will not recommend this airline."

Flight to Seoul from New York was also delayed by 8 hours and I ended up having to spend ~$70 for hotel/taxi due to arriving in Seoul past midnight. Horrible experience both there and back and don't think I would ever take Asiana again."

Pros: "I liked the airbus used to fly from and to the USA. On a 15 hour flight comfort is key, and they did their best. The have build little foot pedals to rest your feet on. Meals also came often, and the food was on the better end of airplane food. Crew was also very friendly!"

Pros: "The crew was lovely and very helpful. They were attentive and constantly providing beverages. The films were nice and a large selection. The food was delicious and it was overall a lovely flight which was nice since it was over 13 hours in length."
Cons: "It would have been nice for slightly more space but it is definitely not the most cramped economy class I have sat in. Additionally, it would have been nice to have different movies from my flight to Seoul but there is so much too choose from that this is not a real issue either."

On the flight two weeks before from JFK - they did a great job on the bathrooms.On both flights there was no need for the constant interruptions telling us to put the seat belts on. Just turn on the light no need to make an announcements in two languages."

Cons: "Loud children all over, my dietary choices for all three meals were messed up ever though I spoke to three different levels of Asiana employees to verify (due to the mistake on the flight to Korea). When I tried to explain to the flight attendant my dietary needs they couldn't be bothered and got an attitude when I asked for the meal that was being served. The flight crew was unfriendly. The bathrooms were crowded and chaotic after meals with no attempt on the flight crew to organize or redistribute the crowds (unsafe situation could occur). I waited 15 minutes at one point because there was simply no order. Some flight attendants were better than others but overall, they played favorites with certain groups."

Cons: "Where to begin....The flight was delayed an hr leaving Hong Kong. Then we were rerouted without notice to Newark International. Upon landing and changing our plans, we were told we were actually proceeding to our original destination in JFK. However, we have to wait for a new crew and we're stuck on the tarmac, on the plane for additional couple hrs. The experience was very aggravating, especially after such a long flight. Additionally, I find Cathays lack of transperancy with their customers very unprofessional. Sad as this is my preferred airline to flight but will take this into account for future bookings."

Although the food menu states that noodles and snacks were available upon request, we were turned down several times when we requested. Food served, especially main entree, were barely edible. It was probably the worst airline food I've ever had, and I travel very frequently. When we arrived back at JFK from our trip, it took over 2 hours for our luggage to arrive at baggage claim."
Pros: "When you see a big plane you always wonder how long it will take but Cathay Pacific was very efficient during the boarding and deplaning. It was a very long flight and they kept everybody happy with a smile. Extremely accommodating."
