These guidelines also include instructions for pass holders currently in Malaysia who wish to depart and then return to Malaysia. Check the Malaysian Immigration website for more information.

Foreigners with valid visas or work permits who entered Malaysia BEFORE the MCO began on March 16 may enter Sarawak without quarantine, but must request advance permission from the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC). Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "No food or beverage service while in COVID mood. Pilates and flight crews were inconsistent with using masks. However overhead announcements by AA constantly stated that face mask were required and that the could prevent you from traveling with AA."
Pros: "I will NEVER fly UNAmerican Airlines again."
Cons: "Everything. Overbooked flight, no room, no comfort, no entertainment. Not even a usb port to charge anything. I paid for a carry on bag and was approached repeatedly to have my bag checked in due to overcrowding and no room for carry on bags."
Cons: "The seats, are getting Narrow. Very constricting."
Cons: "Seats were VERY SMALL and worse, they were like sitting on a wood bench. Many passengers were grumbling about horrible the seats were. Unacceptable for a 5-1/2 hour flight."
Cons: "American Airlines flights are always delayed. Using them for business travel is not advisable for anyone."
Cons: "WiFi entertainment not working"
Pros: "Seat uncomfortable. I am an elite flier and was put in an n uncomfortable middle seat with no choice."
Cons: "Seat should with choice."
Pros: "Flight crew was ok."
Cons: "Bag check was $30, "self service", then directed to wrong line to drop. Flight delayed 3 times and an hour and a half. Jam packed plane. Pay for seats. This is discount airline tactics, not a strategy/market American Airlines presents itself as. Why pay premium if, in the end, they are no different?"
Cons: "There was literally no entertainment for over three hour flight and our flight was delayed an hour while we were on the plane."
Cons: "the crew was snobby and rude. no communication with finnair and british airways for a special meal. not child friendly"
Cons: "I am quite sure there was a booking error and no one was willing to make any accommodation. Should have been charlotte to boston. I ate the cost. Tried to reschedule with cheapo air and voila wrong again. That cost me another $50.00"
Cons: "Flight was late arriving so boarding started 20 minutes late. The ladies at the counter did a terrible job of keeping us informed of what was going on ( saying nothing at at really)."
Pros: "The crew was super nice and I saw them be super accommodating to other passengers which made me feel good about using their airline."
Cons: "They should offer headphones"
Cons: "1 hour delay boarding then another hour waiting for a Pilot!?"
Cons: "Delayed due to malfunctioning plane"
Pros: "The seats seem to be shrinking. The flight was flawless."
Cons: "Tight seats, but I guess that is going to be the norm now."
Cons: "This was a connecting flight, and I arrived at the gate from American Airlines flight 2656 in plenty of time to make the connection. However 15 minutes after arriving at my designated gate it was announced that American Airline flight 4874 would be delayed for 15 minutes for maintenance, which was fine, I want the plane I am flying in to be in perfect working order. So the departure time went from 2:32 to 3:00, then it went from 3:00 to 4:01. Next, it was announced that there had been a gate change. Once we all arrived and the passengers had deplaned and it was announced we could board it was closing in on 4:30. Now once we were on the plane we sat for one and a half hours with no food or water. Finally, they announced that the flight attendant would be coming around with water which was poured from bottles into cups and cookies or pretzels, what, did the plane crash on a deserted island and I not know it? After more sitting, we finally took off, I arrived at my destination 4 hours later than planned. I think this could have been handled more efficiently, and with more aplomb than the standard "we apologize", that does nothing for me and my trip went from 1 hour to 4 with me finally arriving at the Roanoke airport at 6:45."
Pros: "Pilot kept informing us what was happening..."
Cons: "Plane already late, then 15 minute taxi, then they could not drive the walkway up to us correctly so another 10 minutes wasted. We missed our connecting flight... rescheduled with different airlines much later. Missed a whole day out of our three day visit. Airline travel at its normal worst!"
Cons: "Ticket was never issued."
Pros: "Price was reasonable"
Pros: "Crew . Seats were missing 1 passenger next to me."
Cons: "Tight seating"
Pros: "Worst airline food in years."
Cons: "Food was bad on all 4 legs of trip"
Pros: "Everything except TSA, my daughter 14, had a precheck. TSA sent her through, and made me go in separate much slower lne. She was upset and scared, which upset me."
Pros: "On time, kept informed."
Cons: "Flight was delayed almost two hours due to crew staffing issues."
Pros: "Love the entertainment system, watched a movie and was able to charge my phone too"
Cons: "Gate the boarding process but that's about it"
Pros: "Flight left and arrived on time Crew was very friendly Free movies while in flight is always nice Mobile boarding pass - every airline should have them (but they don't)"
Cons: "Having to pay $35 for a little extra leg room"
Pros: "I'm gluten free & I don't eat pork so I would like a gluten free no pork option!"
Pros: "Priority boardinf"
Cons: "Being forced to pay extra for seating because no other seats available."
Cons: "Food was mediocre, portions were extremely small, breakfast seriously they should stop serving that muffin with yogurt."
Pros: "Crew was very nice. Free snacks provided on plane."
Pros: "The cabin crew were friendly and apologetic for the chronic problems with the entertainment system. The pilot gave us a smooth flight and landing, and was very conscientious about turbulence prevention and safety."
Cons: "The inflight entertainment system was spotty. Some customers had monitors that worked, some did not. A woman with a two-year old had one of the malfunctioning monitors and was forced to entertain her child for nine hours without tv, movies or music. Similarly, on our flight over to London 10 days earlier, my husband and I were 2 of more than 30 passengers whose monitors never worked and we were forced to fly for 7 hours in the dark on an overnight flight staring at the backs of seats. It was miserable. The cabin crew told passengers they had begged the airline for years to replace the system but the airline refuses. Will not fly American Airlines transatlantic again."
Pros: "You are pushed into 4 square inches. But the boarding and checkin process was much much better then the ny experience."
Cons: "Food and comfort"
Pros: "They were offering free checked carry-on luggage at the gate so took advantage of that which got my wife and I pre-boarding. Which was a good thing because the overhead bins were awful on this dinosaur plane."
Cons: "I thought we were getting a history tour upon boarding as one of the first airplanes ever constructed or something. There should never be an airplane that doesn't have personal entertainment on board for an 11+ hour flight. The main cabin had two monitors up front on each side and one in the middle section. We paid for "premium" seats, no charging options. The overhead storage could barely hold the smallest of carry-on luggage. The food was mediocre at best. We were pretty close to the front but every time the beverage cart made it to us the wine was already empty from the previous passengers. Overall pretty miserable flight"
Cons: "Unexplained 45-minute delay on second flight."
Cons: "Only one plane really gave me a bad experience. The plane was pretty old and cramped and the crew was very rude. Maybe they were having a bad day or didn't want to be in the old plane either, but their performance was bad. One of the attendants, I think his name was Juju, asked me is a soft voice if I would like a drink. With the engines roaring in the background I thought he asked have you been served a drink? I responded "No, I have not." And he started off serving everyone else. I had to call him and asked if he was skipping me and he replied "I asked you if you wanted a drink and you said No!" I explained the engines were loud and I mistaken his words and with an attitude he served me a drink. For the whole 9hr flight I avoided him at all cost and just responded to the other attendants. The other attendants seemed annoyed and would roll their eyes or make a face when people would try to pass them on the aisle, but I in their defense, they were moving a large cart in a small aisle. Passengers should have waited until the aisle was clear before moving. That was my only issue. The next flight was better with no problems."
Cons: "There was no entertainment option available in the plane we flew in."
Cons: "Flights were continually delayed along with gate changes that had virtually nothing to do with weather. They lost our checked bag. And on the way back made me check my carry on and lost that too. Will never fly on American again!"
Pros: "Plane was on schedule luggage taken as I boarded and help available as needed. This is very important for an 80 year old. Thanks for a great trip. Sue"
Cons: "No complaints."
Pros: "I was happy that my bag arrived on the same flight."
Cons: "Paying for first checked luggage, 30 min. delay leaving PHX, small seats in coach"
Pros: "Departed on time arrived a little early"
Cons: "Seats were not as comfortable as other flights I've been on."
Cons: "Didn't like the way the flight attendant attitude was to me. No politeness what so ever. Turbulence was scary, from the hurricane coming in. And they no complimentary drinks or snack because we landed go quickly. It makes no sense to even have an in service flight with it only being 45 min fight."
Pros: "I did not like anything about the flight to be honest. Oh wait you did have cool club lights that were blue that tried to distract me from the fact that I had to take an American airlines flight."
Cons: "Holy moly. You know if you stopped charging extra money for checked baggage you wouldn't have a ridiculously annoying amount of customers with too many bags for overhead storage. Then you wouldn't have to threaten your customers to store their small bags under the seat. Then I would have room for my feet under the seat. When I would have been comfortable. I also wouldn't have to annoy my neighbor with trying to move and get comfortable. But instead the exact opposite happened and I'm offended you guys have America anywhere near your name."
Pros: "Nice staff"
Cons: "I have no complaints"
Cons: "There was a problem which they could repair before the flight. We were in the plain on ground for 2 hours delay, not even offered a drink, we saw the crew drink. The service was bad, they treated the passengers with terrible disrespect. Very frustrating and disappointing !!!!"
Cons: "No power at JFK. Customs and baggage claim a nightmare. After a tiring international flight, 4 hours in airport find out my flight is canceled. Miss a day of work because can't get flight until following day. No airline offer of food or hotel accommodation."
Pros: "Full flight, so American staff handled the boarding well. Was warned there were no meals on board for economy, so bought meals onboard ."
Cons: "Lack of onboard entertainment for a 5 hour flight. Didn't realize until the end the idea is that you have to pay to get the internet for entertainment now."
Pros: "Sat on Tarmac for 45 minutes and circled Philadelphia airport for 1 hour"
Cons: "The fact that we made it to Philadelphia"
Pros: "Power outlets and we arrived safely"
Cons: "$10 for half a sandwich? Only 1 left by the time you get to me? $25 for Internet access? The prices are a complete ripoff. Apparently my group 2 boarding status and your less than full flight still meant that there was no room in the entire cabin for my bag as they took it at the gate and checked it. If the bins had been loaded properly there would have been plenty of room because I saw multiple bags loaded sideways taking up the space of 2 bags or 1 small bag that would easily fit under the seat taking up overhead bin space. Overall (SFO to Nashville) the worst flight experience I have ever had, you still have 1 more chance to impress me on my return flight otherwise I will not fly American Airlines again."
