Flight over Himalayas was breath-taking!
Flew from Chengdu to Kathmandu, through Lhasa. Even though it was the same flight, we had to de-plane in Lhasa and go through security both coming off the plane and twice again before re-boarding the same plane, to the same seats. Probably a China / Tibet thing, but we received no explanation from Sichuan. After this uber-security play, we got back on the same plane and sat for almost 2 hours on the tarmac, even though we were the only plane in the airport! Sichuan served us lunch while still on the ground, but I would have preferred an explanation from the crew for the unreasonable delay.
Flight was on time. Good basic airline with no frills, but who needs them for such a short flight?

Initial ticketing and boarding was easy. A bit of a fiasco in Lhasa.
The food was really good, the planes were clean, the flight staff were professional and friendly. The flight went smoothly.
Lots is space. Flying at 4:15am. Not much people.

I wasn't expecting food and was surprised to have a pleasant, full meal on the flight. I enjoyed having a meal that was still hot, instead of just a sack lunch-style meal as well.
It was a good thing that you sent us to a nice hotel where we can finally take a nice shower and eat a hot meal as opposed to lunch boxes at the airport. But we didn't get to the hotel until around 2 am in the morning! Vouchers were given us which we appreciate, but, I'm a bit frightened to make another Dragon Air/Cathay purchase right now!
The plane needed to be fixed, which was understandable. However, we were made to wait in the waiting area for more than 11 hours without any notification, unless you go up to the counter to ask what is going on!!! Communication was terrible!!! Also, the airline should have either made other arrangements for flights or sent us to a hotel to wait, where we would be MUCH happier if we were in the hotel waiting as opposed to waiting at the boarding area for more than 11 hrs. stranded to do nothing but wait. We finally got on board the next day, but we had to wait more on the plane w/ NO AC in our section of the plane for 2 HOURS!!! THIS WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD IN ALL OF MY 40+ YEARS OF TRAVELING. I don't like United, but this was much worse!
Not enough blankets was cold. No screen had to use StudioKA app... Excellent idea the app is poorly executed. Simply things like if the phone backs out the app sometimes restarts from 30th beginning. Always shows you splash screen ugh 55 times got really annoying. Need notebooks for the app..
they waited every body to board even if we were late due to inspections and long transfer routes to walk
not enough guides to show where to go, possible to get lost thru the maze and miss a flight.
