Food from Philippines to Japan was excellent but served a little late. Food from Japan to USA WAS LOUSY and they only served hot food one time for breakfast which means 2 hours away from arrival. Hot food meal should have been served 2 hours after boarding in an airport where everything ia closed after 9 pm. Some of the connecting passengers did not have a hot meal for at least 12 hours or maybe more.
Great airline with friendly staff, on time departure. Unfortunately their website is really difficult.

Japanese-style hospitality, respect and quality of service (which is beyond the heavens) shows from check-in to landing (and even post-landing.) The in-flight meals, inspired by Japanese recipes of the Japanese destination or origin, were finely made - that goes even for Economy Class. When there was a delay that was ultimately out of their control, they made things right with post-landing arrangements. Never take any other country's airline when flying into Japan - always always ALWAYS take ANA whenever you can. (Avoid codeshares, too!!)"

On balance though, still a top-class airline."

One passenger had a heart attack. Once they de-planed us in The Azores, not a single Qatar Airways employee helped us on site anymore. Passengers were left in the hands of hotel and airport staff. There was very little communication with the passengers. A relief flight was supposed to come in 12 hours. It did not come for another 35. After the emergency landing, some passengers noticed that a wing looked defective. The disruption may not have been due only to bad weather, but a defective plane as well."

We were forced to check it protected only by some lightweight clothing and a thin back pack we had been using as cabin luggage. Fortunately it made it undamaged - but it would be better if we had been informed of this at Brussels."

I was so relieved since this trip was 3 weeks with 3 50lbs luggage and 2 10 lb backpacks. I imagined going to Japanese Immigration again and explaining the reason for the entry. Because of this our layover is seamless. Star Alliance made it so easy for us to take their airlines anytime. Kudos to Star Alliance. Oh, the legroom is roomy for Economy! Nothing can compare with their airbus. I am only 5foot1inch and its like having a lounging chair. My husband whose 5’10” is happy with the space. Thanks for thinking of your passengers!"

Because I wanted to save $50 (Air Canada was $1,050.00 through Travelocity at the time), I had to pay $1,400.00 for Air Canada ticket 3 weeks later. I will never fly ANNA or deal with travel one. Even though it is a little more expensive I will only deal with reputable company such as travelocity."

Pros: "I particularly liked the seamlessness of the experience - from the downtown checkin and getting a boarding pass at Seoul station, taking the AREX, the efficiency and competence of the front line personnel, etc. I will recommend Asiana and I would consider taking them long distance except that I am a goldcard frequent flier with American/British/Cathay for many years now. Chicago talks about seamlessness in its airport experience but its train-to-the-plane is the chronic weak link."
Cons: "Nothing - I'd tell you if there was. I didn't bother with entertainment for a two-hour flight and I was already well into a really eloquent novel (I'll Be Right There) by Kyung-Sook Shin; check it out"

Cons: "6:40pm Friday flight was delayed 2 hours, and when we finally boarded, pulled away from the gate, and were ready to takeoff, they announced the flight was cancelled because they can't meet the curfew at Narita Airport. Took us another hour to deplane, and another hour to go through immigration and customs (yes we had to do it again), and get our bags. Then they sent us to a hotel 30 mins outside Seoul (they told us it was 20), gave us a Lotteria fast food burger and asked us to be in the lobby at 4:50AM (it was already midnight). Bus didn't have enough space for everyone so they had to call a van too. When we arrived at the airport after our 30 min ride, the bus dropped us off on the wrong side and we all had to walk 15 mins to the opposite end of the airport to check in. Since the rescheduled flight was the first flight out, the airport was super busy and security lines were extra long. After all those lines there was barely enough time to get on the plane. Summary: from originally scheduled time until wheels up I waited in about 6 hours of lines or just sitting around,1 hour of bus rides, slept 3 hours, and ate one lousy burger. All of this for what was supposed to be a nice weekend trip to Tokyo, which chopped down to a 30 hour stay in Tokyo. These guys should have known what time they can pull away from the gate to make curfew. There's no reason why we all had to go through this extra aggravation. Turns out Asiana has been making really tight schedules to accommodate the summer peak season, and they just can't keep up."

Pros: "I had a great time during my flight from istanbul to Seoul . My seat didn't recline and cabin crew immediately helped and took me to a business class as an apology . They were very responsive to any time i needed help . And the food was amazing . Even the economy class gets gourmet meals ."

4 of us split across the row with people in between us. Narrow body trans-continental flights just aren't economy class friendly. It was hot, cramped and long.
Cons: "No assistance to mothers with strollers. While boarding, picked a few people randomly to inspect our bags right before getting on a plane. Held us in a separate room including me who is single mother traveled with 2 year old for 3 flights in the row. My son didnt get his meal. Also had to ask for any juice. Horrible menu. Late food serving, but quick to clean up in a rash. Loud people on phones and nobody stopped them. Horrible experience."

Anyway I love those 777-300ER’s, they are huge with great up to date ambient lighting, excellent, outstanding entertainment , and I had the whole row to myself. I often take this flight when flying home from LHR to JFK. 5 stars!"

There was a delay of 1.25 hours as the ground crew took a long time to load and get the plane ready at Heathrow."

Pros: "There was a lot of carry on luggage on this flight, like the one from Denver to Heathrow, but it was handled in a much better manner. We were invited to board early if we check in our carry on luggage. During the boarding process the crew gave continious reminders to place items under the seat which fit there, This lead to a very smooth boarding process."
Cons: "No basic drinks and snacks were offered. Of cousrse, meal type foods cost money, but it should be possible to provide something to drink on or snack."
Cons: "Not enough overhead bin storage space. If they want to start charging people for bags they need to improve their overhead storage ability. This was a commuter flight from Amsterdam to London. So the entertainment was not really there"

Oh BTW beware of their new “security” regulations. So I had a bottle of perfume in my carry on, only about a quarter maybe a third left in a 100 ml bottle. Guess what, it is not the amount of liquid you have in it, it is the amount the bottle can hold that matters. Needless to say they confiscated it."

Pros: "The price of the flight offers is what made me purchase through kayak, but the disconnect with the airline and booking agency left me stranded and ultimately required me to buy a flight directly that will take me almost half a year to pay off not to mention the inconvenience of switching airports and sleeping on a bench for 4hrs."
Cons: "When I missed my flight, the airline would not offer assistance because I booked through an online vendor (webjet through kayak) and when I called webjet they failed to help me rebook, made me buy a new flight, then when I called looking for the flight information, they managed to cancel the flight and then claimed I had requested this when I had done no such thing. On top of this they only offer next calendar day booking so even though they are fully responsible for botching up the second flight I booked. I have talked to 10 individuals from different agencies. Everyone passes blame and responsibility off on someone else. On top of everything else, noone but the American Airlines representatives showed any empathy or concern for my being stranded for the night. Based on this experience, I will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using Kayak, webjet, amadeus and British Airways."

When I came to customer service - customer support said that they sold more tickets than airplane has. I was VERY disappointed. A a result they put me to the next flight 287 that was scheduled 3 hours later. They gave me money compensation. I would recommend British Airways not to work like that. From my side I will never use this airline company any more. Thanks."

Pros: "We fly a lot, over 20 flights last year. I was very disappointed in this flight. No water was offered during the entire flight (2 and 1/2 hrs). We had to track down a steward to buy a bottle of water and some lunch. At checkin I was told my new suitcase, a Travel pro carryon was too big to take on. As we boarded I saw many people with bigger carryons. Who makes these rules so inconsistently? On the positive side, we had very comfortable seats, but I did pay extra for them!!"

The plugs were not working in the flight and since they’ve taken out the screens even in first class it makes it kind of useful when you have to use your own device. I also found my cushion to be loose and sliding all over. Overall the flight was good. The crew was great. The lack of amenities and the state of the plane left more to be desired. At least Delta you can use WiFi for free a little as well as getting messaging services for free.
Cons: "I did not understand special with covid why half the plane was empty they keep us all together. Would have been nice to be able to spread out and have more room. Seats and leg room are small."

We had to return to the gate and wait another couple of hours. Awful trip, but not your fault. What I was surprised by was no comp hotel, and the discounts were not rally good discounts."

The AA personnel kept us informed, etc. The one thing you can control is hotels if delayed to the point of missing all connection until the next afternoon. I understand not compi9ng BUT, when google maps shows better rates at local hotels than your "discount" program, that's sad."

Cons: "Flight was delayed due to poor maintenance that caused issues before take off. Of course safety is important but that is why maintenance should be done routinely and prioritised accordingly. The pilot on the first delayed flight (new airplane) was clueless, his exact words "... our analysis team from midwest needs an hour to figure out whether we can fly or not" This is after we have boarded the flight. Then after about an hour of sitting in the plane, he says "rumor has it that a new plane will be towed in..." What? Why didn't they stop boarding and just get the new plane in. And I don't appreciate the emails saying flight is delayed without giving any reason for it. AA could have certainly done a better job of communicating the issue. Further the flight crew including the pilot were acting like victims. If it were an Asian carrier like Singapore Airlines, the crew would be smiling and providing assitance courteously since they represent the airlines. Not flying them again."

Cons: "This was my first time flying First Class. Not only was my flight delayed but everything was changed last minute. My seats, layovers, EVERYTHING! I was better off paying for a regular seat. I'm a young African American and the stay treated me as if I didn't belong in First Class! Not to mention the last time I flew into LAX American Airline lost my luggage! I have proof to show! Absolutely ridiculous!"

The experience through American was superb but I would of liked clarity on such airline I was going to fly with."

Cons: "Boarding was delayed by a few hours due to mechanical issues but they did give us free food and drinks once we were on the plane."
Cons: "My outbound flight to Manila had an overnight layover in Japan. I asked at the luggage check-in at O'Hare International Airport if they can check it all the way through as I had planned to go outside of the Narita airport for the layover. They told me I couldn't check the luggage all the way through and that I had to pick it up from baggage claim once I land in Narita. From there I had to check-in the luggage again on the same day. When I took my luggage out from baggage claim, I tried to check-in and the counter crew told me I was given wrong information. I had to keep my luggage with me until my flight the following day. On my return flight from Manila and another overnight layover in Narita, the check-in crew at NAIA told me I could check-in my luggage all the way through, and that they also allowed this at my outbound flight to Manila. The check-in crew at O'Hare International Airport gave me wrong information."

Cons: "Where to start? How about when I checked in at the counter, I asked the check in attendant to add my FF number on my ticket. They said they'll get right to it, handed me my tickets and sent me on my way. It never happened. Not a big deal, I can request the mileage post flight, but still something. Look at my tickets, that I had booked a week in advance and specifically reserved an aisle seat. My ticket says "Priority Verification," whatever that means. Turns out it means you don't have a seat, and you get the worst of the worst. So what seat is the worst? How about the middle seat in a row of 5. The middle in a row of 5, on a transoceanic flight... What kind of airlines has 5 in a row? The guy next to me spent $300 for his ticket, I spent $1200, for the same flight, and this is the kind of seat I get? The plane felt like it was straight out of the 90's, carpeted center walls, old seats, tiny tv's. Overall, a plane that felt had not been updated in decades. Took 20 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to the flight attendant sign. This wasn't during beverage or food service, just a normal time at cruising altitude. They also don't have eye masks. Every other transoceanic flight I've been on has them provided in the seat pocket, American Airlines doesn't even have them on the plane! Economy class has no USB or power outlets, the in flight entertainment is about a 5" screen in probably 260p resolution. Decent selection of movies, but you have to join the movie in progress or wait approx 10 minutes for the next movie to start. Legroom was okay unless you had one of the entertainment boxes in your way, then that takes up 30% of your space. Some of the tray tables do not have cup holders, on the top, bottom, or anywhere on it. Also my table was tilted, so every time I put a cup on it, it slid right off. Seems like a minor complaint, but eating dinner and fighting a sliding cup the whole time is a pain. Dinner and breakfast tasted decent, but you can tell American is cheap on the food. Most airlines will give something like a main course, a bread roll, fruit cup/salad, juice, small dessert. American gives you the main course and a fruit cup and that is all. Crappy utensils too. Overall, if I had paid maybe $200 for the flight, I wouldn't have any room to complain, but because American holds the government carrier contract for FY17, I had to fly on them at exorbitant cost, and would never recommend them to anyone."
