Pros: Crew was friendly and attentive on the first leg of the flight, plane was comfortable.
Cons: On the layover flight, they put us all in buses to head over to the plane which is normal, but then we had to wait 30/40 mins in the packed bus before loading onto the plane. We should have just stayed waiting at the gate.
Pros: The crew was really wonderful. They went the extra mile- pun intended- to make sure me and my family were comfortable. They were especially kind to my daughter. The plane was also great, very clean and well equipped. The 8 hours from Munich to JFK flew by very quickly.
Pros: I liked everything. Unlike what others are saying food is served, you need to buy it either ahead of time are in flight. I think the most important thing is to read up on your flight level as free bags are not included in certain areas. All in all, I still give the them five starts because as long as you do your do diligence by longing onto their website everything is explained. The customer service from the crew and over the phone was wonderful. I have traveled to many countries and on many airlines, this airline is now my favorite. Also, a cool option they have is a stayover option. Basically, you can stay over in Iceland for up to 7 days with no extra charges, you can just pick up another flight to complete your trip. Excellent options for world travelers like myself who like flexibility when traveling.
Pros: Easy, comfortable, professional, courteous service... they accommodated our seating arrangement very well as my wife and I were traveling together but had been separated in booking. Smooth take off, and landing! Cabin temperature was excellent and they provided blankets and a pillow before the flight. Just really enjoyed our trip to Iceland!
Cons: Our only disappointment would have been not have been seated together before as we booked on the same conference. As well bags are extra and it is not well explained about the pricing before hand. If you are traveling with a carry on and a personal at the specific dimensions then no worries but and deviation will cost!
Pros: Plane was clean. Staff helpful
Cons: We booked our seats online and later at check in received boarding passes with totally different seats. Ordered kids meals and was informed that they dont have any for our kids :(
Pros: It was a smooth, direct flight.
Cons: The young "assistant" at the gate in Dulles was completely incompetent. Even the senior person at the gate calling boarding row numbers was amazed/astonished/upset at how useless he was.
Pros: It was the fastest route from Washington DC to Helsinki.
Cons: Staff a bit cold (no pun intended). Aircraft are well maintained but old. Business class is not at all on par with the competition. It's called premium economy on every other airline. Outdoor disembarking and boarding in Iceland... Yes, it's true... Even with open gates at the airport. Contrary to the staff, passport control is in Keflavik... With the one hour layover... Expect to be stressed trying to make your connection. No partner airlines means no credit for using this airline. Overall... Unless I'm going to Iceland, I think I'll forego using this airline in the future. Rather be in another carrier's premium economy than their business class.
Pros: Flight was good. The problem was the ticket purchased from Kayak was not as stated. Because there was a layover in Amsterdam, I was not able to check my bag all the way through to USA. AND I had to visit 5 counters to check bag, pay for bag at different counter and 3 other counters!
Cons: It would have been better if the ticket I purchased was the one that I selected. It was not as advertised. I searched for ticket that was translatlantic with one checked bag. BUT kayak booked an ECONOMY LIGHT fare that required payment. It was not as advertised and a total head ache for check in.
We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
