Cons: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!"

Cons: "Comfort plus seats need some work. Very thin padding on a hard seat. The leg rest needs to come up higher so you don’t slide down while semi reclined. Nice compromise between business and coach though."

As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again."

I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Cons: "The outrageous, unconscionable, customer unfriendly lack of leg room, general torture-like comfort levels of the seating, surly airline employees, vomit comet style landing, and spending enough time driving around the tarmac we probably could have just drove the plane there, skipping flying all together."

Cons: "Flight delayed until 8pm then sat on the plane in Toronto for 45 minutes waiting for a gate and because we were sent to a parking area with numerous other planes and ended up getting boxed in and couldn’t get to our gate earlier. Nothing offered to the passengers during this time, not even water."

Cons: "The gate agent did notice I was changing carrier but did not distinguish my bag at Check in"

Cons: "The flight was over 4 hours delayed, and I didn't receive a notification that it was delayed until an hour after the flight was supposed to take off, which would have been ideal given that I had to pay 5x surge pricing for my uber to get there by the original scheduled time. Once we were about to board the plane, we were told again that it was further delayed. The crew was cranky and tired as they had clearly been dealing with delay issues the whole day. There were no tv's on the flight and we were told there would be free wifi to stream to our phones, however the wifi was so slow that it couldn't even load a single picture from the internet. Oh, there were also no decent food options on the flight. I will avoid United at all costs in the future, as my flight down was also over 3 hours delayed."

Pros: "I know it’s out of the hands of the airline but we were delayed due to weather. Luckily they booked us on another flight but it was the next morning."
Cons: "I know there are clauses saying that United does not have to do anything to accommodate you if it’s bad weather but we did not get anything for our inconvenience. Most airlines will seem to help you with hotels or food and whatnot if you had to be rebooked. We ended up booking a hotel through the Hotel Tonight for a great rate although it’s unrefundable. Turns out we get to the airport and our original connecting flight was severely delayed and we would have made it on to that flight. So either way we were stuck with a loss."

Cons: "There is nothing like arriving on time only to be blocked from the gate and waiting 20 mins..."

Pros: "Pilots had great skill and provided a very comfortable flight despite bad weather. Exceptionally smooth take off. The newer planes being introduced are very nice, too."
Cons: "I didn't realize how amazing the United Airlines app was. Shows all kinds of cool info on your flight and free media. I am now shocked st how ignorant people are to write complaints regarding delays due to weather. It's for your safety. Appreciate technology and respect Mother Nature fools."

Cons: "UA check-in staff in NRT was very rude. We had reserved seats when we booked the tickets over Kayak by paying about $15. UA staff said they didn't know that, its not in their system. They implied we were cheating because UA always charges about $200+ for reserving seat. They even didn't want to listen and look at the receipt we had. What he said in terrible English was "That is not my business""I'm busy" So my daughter and I had to seat separately in order to seat next to aisle. UA will be my last choice to fly."

Pros: "First leg of journey cancelled because of weather, so we drove to ORD. Phone agents were nice, helpful, and effective."
Cons: "Somehow, airplane food keeps getting worse. There's got to be a bottom somewhere, but we haven't found it yet."

Cons: "When I buy an apple computer and pay apple prices, I don't expect to open up the box and find a PC in there. When I bought tickets with Air Canada, I expected to fly with Air Canada, not United. I don't know how it's even legal for you to sell me one thing, have me pay for it, and then give me another. My experiences with Air Canada have been fine. My experience with United was terrible. Their check in devices freeze and don't give proper instructions or feedback, and my tray table was taped shut because it was broken. The tape looked like it was a year old. It is not ok to fix an airplane with tape. This is terrible for both of us. Now you - Air Canada - are sharing in United's PR disaster because you've effectively said buying tickets from you might just be a bait-and-switch for buying tickets with them. Upon purchasing tickets "your" customers have no way of knowing what they're going to get. I'd much rather book with an airline that sells tickets for its own flights, or at least tells customers when they're buying something else instead of lying to them."

When I didn't hear the attendant's question, in spite of telling her I was hearing impaired, she threw her hand up rudely and just continued on to other customers. When boarding I watched orhers board with the same size bag as mine, and wondered if telling someone you can't hear gives them the right to inform you at the gate that your bag needs to be checked?"

I would feel much better if she said, "I am sorry, they have missed the cleaning, " and "Thank you for clean it" or "bump me into better seat""

My boyfriend had ice spilled on his lap and the beverage cart was bumped into his shoulder and knee three times. There was a passenger that was annoying to us as well as to the crew. She kept getting up and standing in the aisle. She brought food on board that smelled like spoiled cabbage. This same passenger walked to the back where the food and beverages were to serve herself water. Once seen, the flight attendant told her to go back to her seat. My boyfriend's television controller didn't work and he had to use mines. He sat in his seat and had to watch a movie that was in front of my seat. Overall, it was a rough start to his birthday celebration."
