The crew were polite, accommodating and understanding
The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging.
On flight crew was pleasant and helpful.

Traveling as family of 5 - booked tickets two months ahead and we did not sit together despite me selecting seats when I booked. They were cheap seats so I can’t complain too much but felt that could have been accomplished given the advance booking.
American reminded me why I always chose to fly with them and not other airlines. Kind fly crew, prompt notifications, Mobile Boarding Passes, quick check-in process and more. I loved it!
