Cons: "Overstuffed storage bins. Absolutely chaotic and abysmal boarding process"

Pros: "Good boarding. The info I was given thru Kayak seemed to indicate my cheap ticket did not include any drinks or snacks, so I was prepared with my own for this long flight. So cookies/pretzels and juice, coffee, etc. were a pleasant surprise, Also the middle seat was empty."

The overall general westjet hospitality was just way below average and I felt like the company is turning so cheap I was worried they may have double sold my seat on the plane."

For example... if you want to make boarding quicker, build the cost of checked luggage into ticket prices so that you don't have people carrying everything on and clogging up the process. Or use the existing and publicly available research to improve boarding mechanisms... but that would mean you lose an opportunity to squeeze extra cash out of people for 'priority boarding'. This phenomenon is real, and currently be investigated by congress. Call your senator."

Also, the Kayak/Webjet tickets we were issued interfered with the process as the airline could not reissue us tickets directly. Moreover, one Kayak & Webjet got actively involved, they even tried to deny us passage on the alternate flights that American Airlines suggested. By the time we did make it up to the desk, everything was taken/full for the next few days & we have been struggling to make our overseas travel even possible ever since."

Cons: "The personnel handling the front desk at check in gave myself and others bad information about how to check a bag. Which resulted in me being called to the desk at the gate about 30 minutes prior to boarding and being told I screwed up checking my bag when I was just following the instructions given to me. Was then told I had to leave the secure area of the airport, go back to the front to check my bag all within 30 minutes of boarding. when I returned thru the TSA checkpoint they were rude, obviously, but more importantly the flight was boarding early. So you could've 1. told me what the actual procedure is for checking my bag instead of telling me "just leave it by the green lit up check mark then 2. told me at the gate that not only do i need to go fix your mistakes for you but that youd also board my flight early thereby putting me in jeopardy of missing my flight. all i got was a very insincere apology when I complained up front and at the gate about the airline's screw up. i get that you're all human like me and make mistakes but the customer is always right. there was a time in this country when customer appreciation and service were important standards and qualities businesses thrived on. Don't know what happened to those days... Also i should not need to be a first class passenger to get a meal during a flight. whatever happened to meals for everyone? you (all airlines in the US) charge way too much money and provide poor service compared to pre-9-11 days. I dont see how one event can justify the loss in service but the increase in ticket price. you should all get back to what flying should be about: fun and time saving."

I can understand for extra legroom or exit row, but for a regular seat, that is ridiculous. Then there was a fee to change priority boarding, so I could ensure I was able to have my carry-on with me, instead of risk having it go underneath. Unable to use the entertainment, as I was unaware had to use my own device, which I had not set up in advance."

Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

Cons: "The leg room was barely enough for me and I'm 5'4". I can't imagine people much larger than me being comfortable at all. Also, the chair made my back hurt, so I did a lot of sitting up straight as opposed to being "in the chair". I noticed that you had snacks for purchase on the flight, but the free snacks were cookies and pretzels. It would be nice to offer a trail mix or dried fruit. Pretzels are good for people who might be a little sick at their stomach, but better snacks are a nice option. I ordered coffee and it was perfect. Overall, the flight was a good flight, just a little tweaking and it would be great. Thanks for asking."

One lady said to put our luggage in the first available compartment, then when we tried, another lady rudely said, if that's not where you're sitting, you can't put your bag there. We were embarrassed and when we tried to explain what we'd been told she told us to keep moving."

On JetBlue and Frontier, I have to pull out the back pack during the flight to stretch my legs out, but not on either of these flights. This survey rates entertainment, but there was none. For me that's a great thing (I bring my own), so None gets the 5-star rating for my purposes. Uneventful flights--on time even with a short delay taking off out of MSP."

Cons: "My first flight was cancelled. This was frustrating as there were not options for a flight out that night. And then the airport staff let us know there weren't even places to stay. Very disappointed."

I arrived in NYC at 10:00 in the evening."

Gate crew did very little to assist me in securing an alternate flight. On board crew did little to assist me in finding out information and getting me off the plane quickly to get to my connecting flight. Overall they showed little empathy and customer service."

Cons: "One strange thing happened on my United airlines flight. The crew announced before we boarded that there wasn't enough overhead space for rolling bags and encouraged us to check them in. Upon boarding they announced that all overhead space in the back was full. I sat in the back and noticed that the crew closed the overhead compartments even though they were mostly empty. Another passenger opened an empty one and the crew came over and closed it right away, though many people were still boarding. What's going on?"

Cons: "Very slow boarding. The entire last boarding group had to gate check our bags, despite there being lots of room in the overhead bins when we got on. Then we had to go to baggage claim to retrieve them, rather than having them unloaded quickly and returned to us when we de-boarded. My carry-on is no longer clean; it not has big black spots on it, and came though the baggage claim partially wet from the rain. I was not happy."

Cons: "Flight was over 2 hrs delayed so I couldn't even take the flight. Waste of my money. Paid 330 dollars and got nothing. Now United nor you guys are helping. Never again will I use this site"

Cons: "Although I received a lot of flight info about my delayed flight I wouldn't receive it sometimes until right before the time changes. Also we were boarded and still sat on the plane and waited for almost an hour before leaving the Tarmac and received no reason as to why we're still sitting until over 40 minutes of waiting. Also the bathroom water smelled bad and it felt extra small."

Cons: "The man in charge of seat assignments and boarding refused to talk to any of us who hadn't been assigned seats until everyone else had fully boarded the plane. He just told us "wait 20 minutes. No wait 30 minutes. Wait." While he did end up giving us seats, he was extremely unhelpful through the process as he wouldn't give us any information and had us wait in line from well before the boarding process until the end. Then on the plane, the air was so cold as to be truly uncomfortable. The flight attendant did try to warm it up though after multiple people requested, so she was quite nice."

Because of this we were late for our flight which they would not let us get boarding passes for so they bumped us to a flight 2 hrs later. After getting through security we realized the original flight was delayed. We asked the airline if we could get back on that flight and we were rudely told no without a good reason. So we sat for what ended up being and hour looking at the plane we "missed" before it took off. No using United again."

Pros: "Getting to our destination on time and with a happy crew!"

Cons: "I'm not a cofee guy , meat and potatoes right. The carmel wafer cookie thing, not bad. I like peanuts one bag plain, one bag honey roasted perfect. Then the second carmel wafer came, I guess what choice do I have. The accountants have won, flat tasteless wafers fly best due to form factor plus most will not take another once they've had the first. Maybe several selections of the flavored wafer cookie? Imagine beer with a salsa wafer, wine with cheese garlic wafer, coffee and cheesecake wafer. In app selection or purchase by seat number. You customize your entertainment and refreshments. Yeah you had to pack light and get a millipeeper scan, but now for some reward. The new plane is nice, smooth surface seating, clean carpet. Not grossed out at all. Could not review the toilet, have never been. The wafer thingy is not refined enough yet. easy fix."

Pros: "Leaving Mpls was fine. We were able to board from terminal without walking outside in cold. Plane isn't big enough to take carry on so I left it at the ramp before boarding plane and was fine."
Cons: "Getting off in Dulles- if Mpls can find a way for us to get off plane without getting outside and waiting in cold for carry on bags I would think Dulles could do the same."

Pros: "Friendly stewerdasses"
Cons: "Flight left almost 2 hours late for something that was not even fixes but ignored by flight crew. Missed connecting flight and was only offered $14 food voucher and a stay at a really crappy hotel 20 minute drive from airport . A really disappointing first impression, possibly my last....... Not sure yet"

Pros: "Flight was overbooked on the way to MN. Cancelled for 2 DAYS on the way back. This mishap ruined my New Years plans and cost me hundreds of dollars due to not getting back to work. I'm disgusted with the way I was treated by the representatives. By far my worst experience flying."

Pros: "good flight,, good seat size"

Cons: "Route tracker was unavailable."

Pros: "Flew with my baby and got upgraded to first class for free (after meal time). That was pretty awesome. United, however, doesn't consider children in the class of people who "take extra time to board," so I was disallowed from boarding early with him. No snacks at all. But the flight attendants held my son so I could use the bathroom, which was really nice. They were very concerned about my comfort."

Pros: "Flight itself was ok"
Cons: "Plane left late and it didn't get me to my connecting flight on time. Left me stranded in Chicago for 14 hours with no compensation for my time. This is something that needs to be remedied. I am trying to get to my mother in the hospital"

Pros: "Loved the email about connecting flights"

Pros: "Able to watch a free movie"
Cons: "Really tight seating and no snacks"

Pros: "The boarding process was quick and efficient once we actually started to board, after our scheduled time."
Cons: "The plane got in late, the boarding process was delayed. Once we boarded we sat on the plane for an hour before moving for some issue that wasn't really explained. My seat was broken and wouldn't stay up which caused them to walk by during process telling me to put it up."
