The plane smelled like the toilet backed up.constant DELAYS: first 29 minutes, then 80, then 30, finally only 25, but the updated delays was annoying. No leg room.

I was able to resolve my issue over the phone with a real person.

Kayak couldn't cancel my flight I had to call spirit airlines. If you can book your tickets through kayak you should be able to cancel through kayak.

My flight from Minnesota to Chicago was cancelled without informing me, so I have arrived the airport and booking my flight on spot, luckily there was a room for me on the aircraft. The employee at the check-in service was shouting and screaming on us. She had a very bad communication skills and did not know how to deal with situtaion.

Air traffic control issues kept us from leaving on time. They did a good job of catching us back up, and even though we were late, they made up time. I like the design of the plane where the seats are thinner and there is more leg room. I had quit flying Frontier because of the measuring of the carry ons, feeling like cattle being herded, etc. This was a better experience, with the exception of the carry on expense. With that and charging for every little thing, your prices are not any cheaper than any other airline.

The price of a ticket is slightly lower. It is not enough of a difference to make the plethora of inconveniences worth it. You are not a valued customer with this fare. If United values customers, they shouldn't offer this fare. That's why I don't fly the bargain airlines.

You can't check in at the kiosk on basic economy without an employee badge swipe, and there were no employees available. I had to stop checking in, wait in line, and then the employee that I talked to didn't have the right kind of badge to swipe. So I waited again. Extremely inconvenient. Even after being forced to talk to a ticket agent at check in, they still won't issue a seat. So you have to go to the gate and wait in line again to get a seat. The system is built for maximum inefficiency. It doesn't cost less for them to make me talk to two separate people, it is only to inconvenience the flyer for buying a cheaper ticket. It seems like a punitive system. Boarding was organized and painless. The crew seemed polite. Regarding comfort, the "leg room" on the airbus is ridiculous. I am average height and felt claustrophobic. I can't imagine how a tall person feels. There was no " entertainment" on my flight, so one star for that. I didn't not receive any food and was not offered water, 1 star.

Once you add in the cost for bags, water, a seat assignment, etc., you've paid just as much as you would on any other airline, BUT you're still stuck with ridiculously tiny, cramped, uncomfortable seats that don't recline, are too narrow, and too close together. Spirit tries to make you believe they are a low cost option, but it's actually a rip off. I should receive 50% of my fare returned to me for the 50% of my seat that was unavailable for me to use because the guy next to me took up his seat plus half of mine. This is because Spirit had its planes designed with more seats crammed in to a small space than the other airlines have. They claim this is what allows them to offer lower fares, but now I have to see a chiropractor because of the twisted position I had to sit in for 4 hours.

The crew was nice and they were apologetic. I know it wasn't their fault. They gave status updates every 15 minutes but in the end they were generally 'wrong'. Some people were angry about this but it wasn't their fault. How could it be? They were just repeating what they were told. It's not their fault that their organizers told them incorrect stuff. I sympathized with them more than I usually would because some passengers were such jerks to them. I appreciate that they were keeping us in the loop. We basically knew as much as they knew. It made me feel like we were all in this bad situation together, which we were. They wanted to get home, too. That was the right way to handle this. The actual flight was uneventful. Plane was clean. Seats were about as comfortable as you would expect for the price.

Where to begin. It was delayed 1.5 hours, then we boarded, waited maybe 30 minutes, then we UNBOARDED because they needed a new plane, then it was delayed AGAIN. When we finally landed in Chicago we were about 5 hours behind schedule. I feel bad for the crew because they were left dealing with angry passengers, I know it wasn't their fault. Just poor corporate planning. In addition I did have a truly mind boggling experience with an employee. We were lined up for our first boarding, in a huge line, having waited for 1.5 hours, and suddenly a woman with multiple bags cut in line. I said "Excuse me ma'am but there IS a line" and she smiled and said "Oh, sorry, I'm an employee". I apologized and she cut everyone and boarded. That's when I realized that she was NOT WORKING THE FLIGHT. She was just using her privilege to cut in line. She cut in front and saved maybe 5 minutes. I mean, why bother. Why bother pissing off paying customers to save 5 minutes. People around me were so angry. Then she got on the flight and held everything up because she needed to load her 4 pieces of luggage into the overhead bin, taking up an entire bin. Flight crew actually moved people's bags to accommodate her. And one of her bags was a full sized suitcase that would never have been allowed if she wasn't an employee. Simply ridiculous, the only thing saving her was that there were open seats. She was not taking a seat from a paying customer. I would say that I wouldn't fly Frontier again but honestly all of the companies suck so I don't know who to pick. Every airline has some story or another of crappy customer service. I wish the barrier for entry wasn't so high so that competitors could swoop in....as much as I dislike the Elon Musk's of the world it would be great if some billionaire swooped in with their money and made an airline that actually worked.

The flight was delayed with no warning at the time of boarding and then 5 people had to offer to switch flights. When I did I was promised a seat on an early flight but by the time I reached customer service they didn't have a seat for me and I was bumped again to a much later flight causing me to miss work.

I scheduled to fly Denver -> Chicago -> Fort Lauderdale. They cancelled my flight and put me on a terrible flight (Denver -> LA -> Fort Lauderdale) without telling me. So I cancelled their new itinerary for me and flew southwest. Spirit sucks.

Woman at gate unable to provider updates with when delayed inbound flight be there and when we would be boarding Crew unable to provider estimate with new landing time so that we could update our ground pickup at destination Front bathroom broken on a 40+ row flight! Incredibly inconvenient for passengers towards front especially when they have their snack/drink cart out which no one wants anything from anyway because it all costs money. Get that out of the way! One attendant was rude to my wife and son when they were trying to get to the rear bathrooms. Crew did not know which baggage claim our bags would be at. Won't make the mistake of flying Frontier again because it's cheaper (rude service, delayed flights, no refreshments = cheaper). I recommend other travelers splurge for any other airline (maybe not United)

Then she got on the flight and held everything up because she needed to load her 4 pieces of luggage into the overhead bin, taking up an entire bin. Flight crew actually moved people's bags to accommodate her. And one of her bags was a full sized suitcase that would never have been allowed if she wasn't an employee. Simply ridiculous, the only thing saving her was that there were open seats. She was not taking a seat from a paying customer. I would say that I wouldn't fly Frontier again but honestly all of the companies suck so I don't know who to pick. Every airline has some story or another of crappy customer service. I wish the barrier for entry wasn't so high so that competitors could swoop in....as much as I dislike the Elon Musk's of the world it would be great if some billionaire swooped in with their money and made an airline that actually worked.

Flight delayed twice for a total of 5 hours and never once received a text or email about either delay nor was I contacted for food vouchers I just happened to go up to the desk and they gave it to me.

Air traffic control issues kept us from leaving on time. They did a good job of catching us back up, and even though we were late, they made up time. I like the design of the plane where the seats are thinner and there is more leg room. I had quit flying Frontier because of the measuring of the carry ons, feeling like cattle being herded, etc. This was a better experience, with the exception of the carry on expense. With that and charging for every little thing, your prices are not any cheaper than any other airline.

$155 roundtrip cost with limitations described before purchasing tickets. It would be much better to at least be able to take a backpack as a carry-on, but all costs were included in the price except luggage and that was reasonable at $25/bag.

Once you add in the cost for bags, water, a seat assignment, etc., you've paid just as much as you would on any other airline, BUT you're still stuck with ridiculously tiny, cramped, uncomfortable seats that don't recline, are too narrow, and too close together. Spirit tries to make you believe they are a low cost option, but it's actually a rip off. I should receive 50% of my fare returned to me for the 50% of my seat that was unavailable for me to use because the guy next to me took up his seat plus half of mine. This is because Spirit had its planes designed with more seats crammed in to a small space than the other airlines have. They claim this is what allows them to offer lower fares, but now I have to see a chiropractor because of the twisted position I had to sit in for 4 hours.

I scheduled to fly Denver -> Chicago -> Fort Lauderdale. They cancelled my flight and put me on a terrible flight (Denver -> LA -> Fort Lauderdale) without telling me. So I cancelled their new itinerary for me and flew southwest. Spirit sucks.
