I was very surprised to learn that I would be charged $45 dollars for my carry on, both ways! This hidden cost would have impacted my decision when choosing a flight. In addition, I didn't purchase a seat another $25. I found it interesting that I was unable to print a boarding pass. I called customer service and was told that they can't print a boarding pass for me, but would report the issue to IT. I can't help but wonder if they were holding back my pass, hoping someone would purchase a ticket. There was no entertainment. Passengers in my area were over served, and were loud and using profane language to the point that departing passenger, several rows ahead, made a point to turn around and see who was responsible for the commotion. I will never fly Spirit again.
You have no choice but to pay for carry on baggage and it's more expensive than if you check your baggage! Totally insane. The seats are TINY so if you're a normal sized person, be sure to pay to get a bigger seat. Oh and if you want to pick your seat to be sure you sit next to someone you travel with, you're paying extra for that too. Don't let the "cheap" fees fool you because once you finish paying bags and seats, you paid as much if not more than the other airlines!!!
2hrs late departing because of air traffic? I don't believe them. I saw a repair van on the tarmac. Seats are packed in VERY close and they don't recline. There's so little padding in the seat that you can feel the metal frame, so you're very uncomfortable. They sell everything they serve including water. There are no monitors so tv or movies are not even an option. Flight crew doesn't say good-bye, thank you or anything as you exit craft. I'm not sure what the attendants do other than offer to sell you water and tell you what you can and cannot do on their plane. They try to shame you into paying for your carry on and paying to book a seat, calling the seat they assign you "random" like they'll put you in the bathroom or out on the wing. When you get to the airport, you find the approved size for your included personal item is the size of your carry on. They don't check to see who paid for their carry on so only suckers paid. We will never ever fly Spirit!
Flight was delayed 1.5 hours that they did not tell us about until we got to the gate because of 'air traffic', which should have been known ahead of time. Flight attendants were obviously tired and in a bad mood. Very small room in seat. The passenger behind me had her knees digging into my back the entire trip. A woman got too drunk and had to be moved to the front of the plane right in front of me because she was too intoxicated and out of hand. She was yelling and then threw up. It was overall one of the worst flights I've had in a very long time. It wasn't all Spirit's fault, but they didn't help the situations because you're paying for the "bare minimum".
The flight to Boston was on-time, and arrived back was a few minutes early.
My flight to Orlando was delayed, I understand this happens, but the flight was good overall, Seats are very small, and the constant fees, are just to much, pay for the plane, then the seat, then the bags, then make sure you print out the boarding pass or there is a charge, pay for a drink and snack on the plane, just to much, I think next time, I will pay a little more for the my flight, just to avoid the extra work, Please keep in mind, we were on vacation, didn't need to perform a part time job just to fly to Florida.
My checked-in suitcase did not arrive in Tel-Aviv.
The flight attendant talking too much on the announcement system,
yet the most important thing- announcing correct time at destination (Boston) was erroneous (5 minutes off).
JetBlue is always my airline of choice. Everyone is professional and friendly. Departure gate was changed 3 times and flight was delayed almost an hour. Staff was right on top of things at all times. Announcements were clear and accurate. Updates were frequent and informative.
I usually pay to check my carry on size bag, I'm too short and the bag is too heavy to lift into the overhead bin. Oftentimes I have 3 carry on items so checking the bag is necessary. What I don't like is at the gate the agents ask for volunteers to have their carry on bag checked for FREE due to limited overhead space. If there was no fee to check bags, perhaps there wouldn't be so many people bringing their bags into the cabin, leaving overhead bins free for smaller carry on items and less congestion in the aisles.
AA changed my flight plans which resulted in a 4.5 hour layover in Philly. The gates were filthy, there is not much selection for in-flight food and nothing for entertainment. I couldn't even find an outlet that worked at the gate.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
