Cons: "Just a detail, my “head holder” (not too sure how it is called) would not hold in position. Also, staff was a bit slow to come after being called, I had to go and ask for water by myself at some point since no one was coming after 15minites of waiting..."

The flight attendants were rushing and will take a while if you needed anything. I felt like I was taking a bus with graffiti all over the place."

Cons: "Our two hour connection in Paris became 30 minutes because Air France was late in leaving Washington. So our luggage didn't make to to KLM to Amsterdam. My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Pros: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Cons: "Horrible. First, we lost a suitcase. It could happen but for two days they did nothing and only told us stories (so as not to use the word lies). Within a few hours (and thanks to airline assistance) we were able to locate the suitcase. Even then it took them two days to bring it to us, two precious days off our planned vacation (7 days) At the end of the shortened vacation, we got to the chek in, and told that since the ticket I had purchased form them two months earlier was too cheap ... and since the flight was Over booked, they would take me off the plane if all the passengers would arrive. It's unnecessary to describe what I felt until the plane took off. They apologize constantly, but do nothing practical. a bae company. no me nor my freinds/family will go with KLM"

Cons: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

Cons: "The Amsterdam airport is super disorganized, with rude employees great at making excuses for their incompetence. The boarding crew really struggled to organized the boarding and wouldn't really care about people's status. We had to take a bus to the airplane, and even though both plane's entrances were open, they sent everybody to the front entrance. The comfort of the plane was horrendous, with seats over 20 years old and their business class was the same as the coach, but with no one sitting in the middle (can you get any lower than this?) The flight attendant woke me up to shove a food tray that I didn't want. We had to wait over 45 minutes after the plane landing to start seeing some luggage show up on the conveyor bell. The overall flight experience make southwest look like a luxury airline. This was my first and last time flying on KLM."

Cons: "When we went to check in on 6/30, the website said all legs of our reservation have been flown. We had to call British Airways and then the booking company (Webjet) to finally get things sorted out. British Airways counted our flight from JFK to CDG as a "no show" but in reality, we had just missed our connecting flight because of so many delays at JFK. We had received no notification from Webjet or British Airways of these changes and were told that our taxes were refunded for the return tickets."

Seats were available on the flight considering it was a 747-400 jet liner. All in all I was happy with the flight since no one sat next to me during the 7 hour flight."

Worst part was that I had my elderly parents with me and I had to continuously make changes because of the flight delays, which put all of us in extreme stress! Made me sick to my stomach of how unprofessional BA staff were when it came to accommodating us due to their delays."

Cons: "Although it was clear already around 9:30 that this flight (scheduled to depart at 10:25) would be severely delayed sue to fog in CDG and LHR, the local British Airways staff adamantly refused to assist in rerouting us either from Paris or from London to our final destination in Chicago. Their complete lack of cooperation was stunning and quite offensive. A different tune was played by the airport staff for international connections who helped us expeditiously and kindly to be rerouted on an United Airlines flight."

Cons: "In all fairness to British airways this was actually "operated by AA" and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Traffic to get into the airport was the worst I've ever seen. When we finally arrived, Although we checked in prior to arrival, we still had to wait in line for over an hour to check in our bags! We told the agents three times our flight was boarding, however, they were almost nasty and would not expedite us. they finally started to call our flight and we were pulled from the line, even then it was very disorganized how we were processed. We had to run through security and the long terminal and along with others in our flight that had been in line, were the last to board as the flight was delayed waiting for us. One of the worst experiences ever. They really need to do something about their check in process as we were not the only ones subjected to these delays. The plane had technical problems landing and had to be towed in but thank God we made it."

Pros: "I just wanted to say that on all my flights the BA crew has been beyond amazing! On my flight to Paris, one of the crew members who spoke French ( which I do not speak) talked to a couple of French women that were sitting next to me. He got them to show me where the train was, I was very appreciative that he would do that. On my flight back to Charlotte one of the crew made it feel like home, she was so outgoing and helpful, she just seemed like a friend I was hanging out with for the flight."

Pros: "The attendants were very helpful. I enjoyed the Scottish cookies and tea. I was a bit upset at being forced to check my bag by the staff in Paris, though. Even though it was partly my fault for being too stupid to pass the test of knowing how to put my suitcase diagonally into the sizing box, I still felt bad about being lied to by the staff who told me that my suitcase was too big and that they would take it from me at the gate if I refused to surrender it there at check-in, even though they could obviously see by how easily it fit into the sizing box that the size was perfectly fine. This treatment made me feel singled out for harassment, as I saw others being allowed to carry on suitcases that were much larger, but in the end I got over it. All other staff were very pleasant to me."

I was clearly having difficulty with the seat but didn't receive any assistance while FA chatted up a celebrity in the seat in front of me. Flight attendants seemed to provide very perfunctory service, not commensurate with first class. Very disappointing experience compared to others in the past. I don't need to spend half a zillion FF miles when I could just buy a coach seat."

Cons: "We were very unhappy at having to pay extra for our seats after we had booked the airfare. Especially on the way to Paris when there were so many extra available seats! I counted 50 available seats!"

Cons: "No wifi. No personal video. Old plane. Felt like 2005 domestic flight instead of 2017 international. I paid $135 each for 2 exit row seats, and everyone around me on the flight told me they had not paid anything and just received the seat today I won't fly AA again I don't think."

It took so long, eventually they allowed people to cut in line as their flight departure times neared. 2+ hours later, I finally got to a kiosk to print my boarding pass and baggage tag, but now another line to drop off my bag on the conveyor belt. With less than 30 minutes to departure, and still haven't gone through security, I gave up and made my checked bag a carry-on as well. And then tight seats on the plane, with no individual screens (the movie played on a tiny screen 2 rows up in the aisle.)"

Cons: "This had to have been among the worst flights I have ever experienced in 50+ years of flying to 86 countries. First, an e-mail before I left my Paris apt that it would be 1 hr late departing. THEN the announcement ON BOARD that the flight would make a REFUELING stop in Bangor Maine (the eqpt was a 20 yr old 757 meant for a medium-range domestic route instead of Paris-NY). So it was FOUR HOURS LATE arriving, including an extra hour on the ground in Bangor because they'd lost their landing slot (tho they lied about "bad weather" at JFK) ... a succession of lies and incompetence. Headphone jack didn't even work at the seat ... the movie was a US film dubbed into French anyway! Gawd what incompetence. A letter Fedexed to Doug Parker, AA's CEO, was not even acknowledged.... and I do 35,000 air miles a year on AA. THE WORST."

Cons: "The organization with American Airlines at Charles de Gaulle was absolutely pathetic. I understand it's a busy airport, but NONE of the other airlines had lines like American did. Then by the time you get up to an American airline employee, incompetence was written all over their faces. The straw that broke the camel's back was that they insisted on separating my partner and me while doing security questions, meanwhile other parties who were together were not separated (LGBT discrimination). This pushed us back 10 minutes--we were separated and he was having to wait for me after the questioning to get my bag checked, too. I'll add that we arrived to the airport with over 2 hours to spare before our flight which should have been more than enough time. We probably would have missed the flight if not for a few decent Charles de Gaulle employees who bumped us though lines at customs when they realized the time crunch, no thanks to anyone with American Airlines. I heard so many saying they will not use American Airlines again, and how saving a few dollars was not worth the headache. Flying is already stressful enough, don't make it that much worse."

Cons: "When I booked the flight, I hadn't realized that British Airlways had contracted the flight out to be operated by American Airlines. The flight was delayed in Paris and I ended up missing my connecting flight through JFK to DC. Though we were told on the plane that we would be given assistance upon landing and helped in an expedited manner through customs, instead I was briefly informed I had missed my connecting flight, handed an envelope, and told I needed to now travel to Laguardia Airport. No other information or assistance was provided. I was not given a reason why I needed to travel an hour in NYC traffic to switch airports nor was I given any help through customs. The shuttle I was told to take was unable to take me to the correct terminal, so I needed to get on a secondary shuttle. Again, after a 7 hour international flight, little assistance or aid was provided. I was barely able to make it through security in time to catch the new flight. Additionally, the actual flight from Paris to JFK lacked basic in-flight entertainment that almost any international flight would have. I will not be traveling on American Airlines again, and I am hopeful that Kayak and BA will be more clear in the future."

After talking to another flight attendant who claim to be a manager name Celeste who was wearing a visible name tag along with every other flight attendant except for her, I asked her for the name so I could write up a review she refused to give me her name saying it was against their policy to give up first names even though it’s clearly on everybody’s shirt except hers she removed it or covered it up w/ her apron even though Robert Robert was wearing an apron with his name tag outside of his apron like he should the attendant that gave me problems took off her name tag and covered it with an apron that was a violation of dress code. A simple apology is all I asked for but she refused to apologize and the managers only response was “I can’t make her apologize” Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect on a flight as I am a frequent flyer to Paris on United everybody else and all other flights was extremely helpful and courteous. This woman started ranting and raving about 911 and getting people nervous for no reason. I will be writing a formal letter to the corporate office. I just barely got home and wanted to write this review because it ruined my experience in 9 1/2 hour flight experience. It was also very embarrassing for me and my family, as other customers were bothered by this and had to listen to this. I was trying to speak over the air conditioner and after the third time of her not acknowledging me that is one I raise my voice politely by saying “excuse me ma’am”. I am a frequent united flier. By this time my back was throbbing and when I talked to the gentleman upfront he told me to write a letter for some type of compensation regarding everything I have been through. Why is the crew resting when they are supposed to be working on that flight? The meal quality sucked, I did not finish it, let alone my kids. My kids were prettu much hungry for 8 hrs. Not a very family friendly flight."

The seats were also decent and the width of the aisles had just enough room to wheel my bag and also not get hit when the carts came through. They are still too narrow, but better than some planes. The omeletes had the consistency of rubber, and my special meal (Asian vegetarian) was some fried thing that I couldn't eat at all and my companion - who will usually eat anything, would not touch it. I asked the attendant for an omelet instead (before I knew they were just as bad) and explained to her that the I can't eat fried food. She said she was surprised since Asian vegetarian is usually Indian - or at least discernibly Asian and so, would have been OK for a gluten-free vegetarian diet such as mine."

Mine froze during the flight and never worked after that. The food was some of the worst I've ever had on a flight. Don't choose the vegetarian option unless you want an upset stomach. Seats were cramped and uncomfortable, but at least we got a clean blanket. They kept the plane cold for some unknown reason, so we needed it."

I recently flew LOT and Lufthansa internationally in coach (economy plus) and they provided better meals, towels for washing, more and frequent drink runs and better snacks. Overall, just a mediocre flight -- not terrible, but not good."

The staff at the gate of Dulles airport were extremely rude and difficult to deal with, which made it frustrating to try and figure out my connection situation. I missed my connection from Brussels to Paris and had to buy a train ticket for which I was not reimbursed by United. Then, on the way back from Paris, my flight was delayed 2.5 hours for the same reason. At least this time I had a direct flight. This entire experience makes me think twice about flying United again. I live in DC and it would be just as (in)convenient for me to go to BWI instead of Dulles for international flights, where there seems to be more options outside of flying United."

Pros: "Food was surprisingly good . I had last row on plane, aisle seat in central section. Good because there are only 3 seats across. Flight attendants very pleasant."
Cons: "The recline of my seat was not working properly. I could push it back and it would have been quite comfortable since seat slid forward a bit when back rest went back, but my seat would just spring back into upright position."

Pros: "Sitting in economy plus is definitely the way to go for a trans Atlantic flight. The seats are very comfortable and give me, an average size person, enough leg room to sit for longer periods of time. The inflight videos are great and the staff was exceptionally courteous."
Cons: "United still falls behind on food offerings. Although the food is not unexceptional, it is not the best. Definitely pack snacks if you want to eat healthier and fix your hunger cravings."

Pros: "There's not much to like except that the crew is generally either nice or indifferent."
Cons: "There's much to dislike: cramped quarters, horrible food, paying for liquor on international flight, terrible seats, tiny screens for entertainment... it appears the only good way to fly is minimum in business class which many cannot afford."

Cons: "When attempting to leave Newark and fly to Berlin with my husband and children, we were informed that my husband could not travel because his passport was about to expire the week after we returned home. It had to be valid for 3 months prior to our return. So, I went to Berlin with my children and my husband met us 3 days later! I was heartbroken. Since back I have told many people and only a handful of people actually know this. As a customer service, ALL companies that have any connection with airlines and travel should put this information on their website. The airline casually said, "this happens often". It should NEVER happen!"

Pros: "The quality of the food in the meals was good, and I really enjoyed the small tub of Belgian chocolate ice cream that was served. I was able to move into an exit row seat which was very nice for legroom."
Cons: "The meals were small and insufficient. I knew United would have inadequate food service, so I bought a chicken sandwich and a snack at the airport to bring onto the plane. If I hadn't, it would definitely not have been enough food. The crew was ok, not especially friendly and a bit short at times. The seats were comfortable enough. The movie selection was not bad, but the touch screens were terribly calibrated and frustrating to use."

Pros: "Chicago to Paris flight. Went relatively smooth. Crew was pleasant. Plane was as comfortable as what you'd expect on a plane. Upgraded to economy plus due to the long flight time and leg room was adequate. Large free movie and TV selection was offered which was a nice surprise and bonus."
Cons: "No free wifi. When are airlines going to get on this?"
