Slightly more leg space than other airlines

My spouse got bumped from an aisle to a middle seat with cold nonchalance. No excuses, no compromises, just plain rudeness from the boarding crew member in Reykjavik. Seems like choosing seats early does not get you said seats with Icelandair. Given the fact that the boarding process was an absolute mess I found it difficult to remain patient. There was no organized line, and only one available boarding agent. Recipe for disaster if you ask me but hey, what do I know. Several agents were present for decorative purposes (?) and telling people that the line was a mess. It is the airline’s duty to organize the boarding process, not the passengers’. Not being served dinner on a 7h+ flight is unacceptable. Food available for purchase was very disappointing in both quality and service. Blankets were not available on this flight while they were on the outbound flight.

The cabin crew was very friendly and accommodating.

I am pretty disappointed about the nickel and diming to pay for checked baggage, seat selection early and food and drink on an already expensive international flight. This is something I would expect from an American airline but not an international European one. I will not be taking icelandair but I will visit this lovely country again.

I like that there’s a direct flight from Reykjavík to Denver!

Delayed flights, unorganized boarding, sitting on the tarmac for an hour, no complimentary inflight meal for an international flight. Crew wasn’t particularly welcoming.

It seems as if the airport is about 25% of the size it should be. One stands in line a lot both in the airport and on the shuttle which takes you from the terminal building to your remotely-parked aircraft: Too many planes and not enough gates. The small airport itself is nice but clearly the growth in tourism in Iceland is staggering.

Our Boeing 757-200 was typical -- nothing special -- with the usual cramped seats. The USB ports on the seat backs do not provide power -- only receiving a video signal so you can stream videos from your personal device to the TV screen, I guess -- so you cannot charge your phone or tablet in flight.

Prices are per person and are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in USD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.

The fares displayed include all taxes and fees for economy class travel and were found by the provider in the last 72 hours. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights and days. Fares are subject to change and may not be available on all flights or dates of travel. Some carriers charge additional fees for extra checked bags. Please check the carriers' sites.
