we booked this flight because it was the shortest. However, we received an email a few days ago saying that the flight on the way back changed and the layover has increased from 2h to almost 7h! this is very upsetting since Im pregnant and the bring such a ling time at the Addis airport really ruined my flight experience
Checking in was poor. The booking didn't reflect in jhb or in two Aviv. Special meal was requested and not provided.
Personnel were good. Food on ET is always great.
Technical problem caused massive disruption in flight for all. Missed connections and forced unpaid for overnight in Addis. Truly terrible experience
I took a roundtrip to Addis Abeba, Ethiopia from Washington, DC. The trip was 13 hours there and 16 on the way back (I think that included a refueling stop in Dublin). There was plenty of food and beverages provided throughout the flight - usually every 3 hours or so. Blankets, pillows, and several movie/entertainment were provided.
I would prefer the the main cabin lights be kept off longer.
The overall work ethics and the ease of boarding was awesome as well as time line, for hotel transfer due to layoff time was also excellent

screaming and kicking child behind my seat, with no way to "escape". I had a severe cold and that was certainly not something I needed, I tried to get some rest, but that was impossible. The seats are getting smaller and smaller, hardly any legroom whatsoever. Also, what I had planned on bringing on the aircraft as carry on (which was my work equipment, tablet/printer etc), I had to check in as luggage because it was "overweight" meaning more than 8 kg and pay ADDITIONAL $200 (in addition to the $100 I already paid for one suitcase). I've seen many passengers with "heavy" carry on, which they were apparently allowed to bring into the cabin without any problems. I had never had to pay for any carry on, and I am seriously considering using another airline for future business travel.
Seats are too close together and seat really doesn't recline. To close to the seat in front and can't bend over to put your head on tray to sleep. Just to cramped up and I'm a small person 5'4". Very uncomfortable for a long flight!

The Crew on Emirates are just the best in the industry
paid extra for legroom but the legroom seats have a big disadvantage of no place to put things you need on a long flight.
We felt safe and the flight landed a bit early.
Boarding was a nightmare, couldn’t hear zones being called, etc. assigned seats had us in the middle and basically so confined we couldn’t eat when they gave us food. Very uncomfortable. I had such a bad experience I got online and paid for isle seats for the return trip, and thought maybe that’s what they wanted all along ..,

Screens (for in-flight entertainment) kept freezing, not as much legroom as previous flights (BKK-DXB, DXB-SIN, NBO-DXB) on Emirates
We were seated towards the back of the economy class and by the time the crew reached us, they ran out of the menu options and we were forced to take left overs
