The checkin counter experience was not good. I had business class tickets but was checkin at an Economy counter resulting in my boarding pass not being for business class so when I went in to immigration lines and throughout the rest of the process I did not receive priority that Business class should have received. In addition when I enquirer about TSA preaplroval at the counter I was told Chicago does not have preaplroval at Terminal 5 but in reality passengers with TSA-pre were being sent through the lines without having to take off their shoes and laptops etc. overall the checkin process should have been much more informative.
I dint know i needed a chinese visa to travel to shanhai, My flight began on denver then seattle and from seattle i wasnt able to fly to china. I received no help at all, all they did was cancel my booking not received any kind of refund and i got stuck in seattle, i had to buy new tickets to go back to denver after losing my flights and not getting a dime back, this is unacceptable!
There was no vegetarian food.

As always, the crew and amenities were first rate.
We were initially told that our flight would arrive early. Then we sat on the tarmac for a half hour before anyone could be bothered to tell us we were waiting for the plane to be de-iced.
Not sure who thought every passenger is 5'6 but for the rest of us, the seat pitch is ridiculously close. Like knees to the seat in front close. I'm 5'10 and I was very uncomfortable the entire flight.

Long wait for de-Icing. Got on and off the plane 3 times. First wait was 1 hour, but plane aborted takeoff. Second plane waited at gate with all aboard for 2-1/2 hours and never got slot and de-planed. Third plane waited 1-1/2 hours for de-Icing and finally we were headed home. Arrived 8.5 hours after schedule.

I really liked the space in Business and the priority boardings in Asia. Worth every penny. Food was great. A lil slow on serving alcohol though. Very relaxing trip.

I was denied a boarding pass and was not allowed to transit through China, because of a visa that was needed I was not told about by Kayak.com. Therefore, being the last day I was allowed to stay in Thailand, I had to scramble to find an outbound flight the same day, including paying almost double the cost of the original flight. The Thai check-in agent told me to never transit through mainland China again, because the visa requirement information that is not provided.
The food was surprisingly good. I would have expected some of it from a restaurant, not an airline. The in-seat entertainment was functional and had a lot of things to watch and games to play.
Nothing really. We have to keep in mind that an airline can only do so much to help us get through flights that are many hours long. This Xiamen flight was about as good as I can imagine a long international flight could be.
Crews, food. Also Transfer Lounge in Xiamen is a good place without charge.
Boarding because we have to take bus at Xiamen airport.Also, security checks at Xiamen are very complicated.
