Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "No complementary snacks. Flight delayed for several hours. Customer service personnel not helpful in changing flights"
Pros: "The friendly informative team when we learned our plane broke. I switched to Charlotte connection earlier as a Miami one made no sense as Miami is south of Atlanta final destination. We had a different outcome than expected yet staff cared for us."
Cons: "Plane better maintained as before take off a hydraulic part broke and we were grounded . We arrived home hours later than planned because of this."
Cons: "We stayed one hour in the plane without any reason"
Pros: "Because American Air had to change a light bulb on the plane in Lisbon, which took a couple of hours, we barely made our connecting fligh. We ran from customers TSA to the other end of Philly airport."
Cons: "Another airline."
Pros: "n/a"
Cons: "Speaker volume was too high."
Pros: "Wifi was semi-fast and reasonably priced; crew was friendly."
Cons: "No seatback TVs."
Cons: "To hot in the back of the plane"
Pros: "The crew was very nice."
Cons: "Couldn’t get the tv to work very well."
Pros: "Please get a terminal that lands at Bradly terminal. busing around and waiting like cattle is not fun. I am sure First Class also feels this way."
Cons: "excessive wait and shuttling."
Pros: "The staff were polite and the pilot kept us on time. The flight wasn’t over booked and I was able to have an extra seat between myself and the other passenger in my row."
Cons: "That due to the Kayak purchase I had to wait until the last group to board."
Pros: "Flight was under 4 hours."
Cons: "No where to store carry on since everyone is allowed to bring larger bags than they should so you end up having to stuff everything under the seat leaving no room for your legs. Very uncomfortable!"
Cons: "There was a delay from Charlotte to Dallas but not too much so it was fine. Once we arrived in Dallas, however, it took an absorbent amount of time for the crew to open the door. On top of that, the skyline in Dallas was broken down and it caused me to miss my flight completely. I’m a student so I don’t have much money so I had to “sleep” in the airport because I couldn’t get a hotel voucher due to the fact that I missed my flight due to the airport and not the airline itself. My next flight is tomorrow morning but now takes away time from an incredibly busy and tight schedule that I was on. Not happy at all with the Dallas airport."
Pros: "A cheap option to upgrade to 1st was offered that ended up being a net 0 cost upgrade for me so I took it. Comfortable on an old (but oh so nice) aircraft."
Cons: "Arrived 30 minutes early to the airport but then had to sit at a remote pad so that we ended up being 5 minutes late to the gate. A short transfer was made even more difficult, and a massive waste if time and fuel sitting and waiting. Figure out your gates early and better, and move around if needed. At the very least, bring up some stairs and buses to get passengers to the terminal and then tow the aircraft in when you have a gate available."
Pros: "Efficient flight with friendly staff."
Cons: "Terrible lead flight attendant"
Pros: "Left and arrived more or less on time. No major issues."
Cons: "Gates are way too far apart in Miami and the golf carts to get between areas seem to require reservations and long waits. Ridiculous. Most MIA staff was very rude (this wasn't American's own staff, or TSA, I should note). American stripped my group of our seat assignments (which we had selected 6 months prior) without reason and with minimal apology. No solution offered. Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Not impressed."
Pros: "I got there safely."
Cons: "I will never fly American Airlines again. From the moment I checked in with the ticket agent to getting off the plane it was a disaster. The ticket agent was rude, hostile, and dismissive. Employees walked through the line at security forcing everyone to consolidate their belongings to one bag. I had a large wallet in my hand and was told I had to step out of line to put it in my backpack. They only allow you one bag to carry on without paying extra. At the time of boarding they announced that the overhead storage was full so even those that paid extra were still forced to check their bags. The plane was dirty, the service was slow, overall just gross. They don’t have WiFi or in flight entertainment so I paid the $20 to purchase the WiFi. It was worthless. I couldn’t stream anything, even music kept stopping to buffer. I understand it will be slower then on ground WiFi, but it was impossible to watch anything and a complete waste of money."
Pros: "Food was really good, crew members fantastic. Boarding was a little messy, a mix between anxious passengers and weak organization."
Cons: "The entertainment system didn't work and there was no way to solve it. It should've been checked before. It was a 9-hours flight with almost nothing to do."
Pros: "Movie selection was good."
Cons: "Food and WiFi connection was horrible. Crews were unfriendly."
Pros: "flight crew on my way to BWI were great!!!"
Cons: "american airlines does not care about the privacy of their passengers. even after several calls my information wasn't updated correctly and my flight confirmation was passed along to members who weren't even traveling. there was no in flight entertainment and in order to pick seats together i needed to pay extra (i thought i was flying with american not spirit) apparently the only way i can be helped is writing a letter to customer service which they will review within 10 business days. THANKS american for starting a war in my family and ruining my trip. unfortunate the crew is so awesome but the customer service is mortifying, rude, inconsiderate and completely mechanical. i dont ever intend on flying with them again unless necessary."
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "Sounds like an ok airline if you fly 1st or business class. Don't be fooled by great reviews"
Pros: "Boarding was prompt, flight attendants polite and accommodating."
Cons: "If I am in business class and platinum status, why can't I use the lounge - which is only available to Platinum status going to LA or SF, Latin America but not to Cancun. American Airlines needs to change this policy."
Pros: "We were able to be put in an exit row which was great - especially since my husband and I are very tall and it was a cross-country flight."
Cons: "I find it ridiculous that on a cross-country flight they can't even offer pretzels or peanuts. There was NOTHING!!!! I have been on short hops on other airlines and you get something."
Cons: "i ask the crew for help to locate my luggage because we didnt pick it up after we landed in chicago for custom check! we were told in thailand that our bag will be going to wichita and we did not need to pick it up in chicago, when i try to do the self check in their machine didnt work! so i had to wait in line, and then wheni ask the crew member for help to locate my luggage she said she is too busy!!!!!"
Pros: "it was a reasonably priced flight, so I guess having to put up with the delay and a cramped plane is what you should expect"
Cons: "the fact that we were delayed for over 3 hours (mechanical? then switched plane). The plane itself was really cramped - I realize you have to put up with that on domestic flights, but international, really??? American should figure out other ways to cut costs."
Pros: "Assigned seating, snacks, touch screen media feature."
Cons: "Staff could have been more friendly."
Pros: "Staff on the plane were nice."
Cons: "5 hour delay, fear of cancellation ruining a trip planned for years, not feeling we were told what was happening, series of delays extending decision time, unappetizing sandwiches during delay."
Pros: "Very helpful crew"
Cons: "nothing"
Pros: "Muy buena atención, avión, puntualidad"
Cons: "La silla no reclinaba bastante, no era muy cómoda"
Pros: "flight personal were very nice"
Cons: "Seat broken reading light did not work 15 total hours in the air and 7 of them the movie system did not work Paid for upgraded seat and did not get one - got moved to a standard seat."
Pros: "Arrived. Crew was nice."
Cons: "Seat too small, cramped leg room. Was told there was no space for my carry-on and to check it, but there was plenty of space when I got on plane."
Pros: "Easy boarding, nice & quiet customers & crew & darkness made it easy to sleep a bit on this red-eye flight."
Cons: "Lots of turbulence."
Pros: "I paid for extra leg room and I got it. The only thing I was in the row right behind first class they require you to put all of your carry-on above even a purse. I had never had that before but I guess that's common practice."
Pros: "Economy comfort seating was nice but overpriced. Not sure its worth the $150 ish i paid. American even seems to charge for aisle seating as a premium."
Cons: "Most of the flight attendents acted likenthey wished they were somewhere else. Tired of there jobs."
Cons: "We waited in the plane at the gate for over two and a half hours after scheduled departure time. I understand that things happen and illnesses are sometimes sprung upon us but that wasn't the issue. The issue was that there was not a backup in place for an instance like this. I understand the time of night was the main issue but planes are flying 24/7."
Pros: "The boarding process was efficient and the staff was friendly."
Cons: "The plane was antiquated and the seat space and leg room were minimal."
Pros: "The flight attendants were nice and helpful"
Cons: "First of all flight was delayed an hour and a half.. Then I went to get something to eat to kill time just to find out they switched the gate causing me to have to run all the way to the new gate then they close the door as I was walking up and told me I missed my flight even though the plane was still there for another 15 minutes.. so I had to fly standby on the next flight which was another hour and a half later.. I arrived at the airport at 12:30 and didn't end up catching a flight until 7:45 p.m.... oh and I forgot to mention that I originally paid for an upgrade for priority seating with more legroom that I never received because they put me on the very last seat that you can't even replying because there is a wall behind you.. SMH"
Pros: "The food was good for airline food. The exit rows do give you more leg room."
Cons: "However if you sit in an exit row or directly in front of one you cannot recline your seat. This is a big deal if it is an overnight flight like the one I had because it makes it very difficult to sleep."
Cons: "Uncomfortable; charged $50 for checking bags only to see them checked for others for free at the gate. Seat selection on our three flights that day were ignored on 2 of tge floghts."
Cons: "As stated above, I was late for my flights."
Pros: "Overall good.."
Cons: "Good............."
Cons: "I thought I booked a QANTAS flight but I was thrown on a very terrible American Airlines flight. Would not recommend."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything"
