I just don't understand why they didn't get new equipment and a new crew sooner. As it was they had to fly in a different plane in and flew up a crew from Ft. Lauderdale who flew us home to Ft. Other airlines like Emirates gives you more room in their business class so it's disappointing to see United 1st class is so cramped. The screens for the onboard entertainment system in first class are lower quality then those used in coach."

He alerted the driver, called the boarding gate and led me to it."

The crew gave no explanation for the switch in aircraft, and no apology either."

I found out late that it was practially at a different airport. Then I had to re-enter through security (where the line was wrapped back to the front doors). Had the flight not been delayed for mechanical issues I would have missed it. My flights were purchased through Delta. If Delta uses different airlines they should post gate information on their web sites."

Cons: "There is no on-board entertainment to speak of. The Cayman Airways agent at the gate was EXTREMELY rude... sticking out her hand was her way of asking to see our boarding passes and passports. No eye contact, no words. Then "Who's Lucy?" (my 4 year old girls name is Lila). When we said "ahh, Lila?", she exhaled loudly and handed our docs back, and that was it. My wife and I were left staring at each other, half in disbelief of what we'd just witnessed. I wished I'd looked for a name badge... would have loved to out someone like that by name. Cayman Airways are hardly the most on time airline, and their planes aren't new. Their whole stick is free checked bags, rum punch and the friendliest staff. They start failing there, and they may as well shut er down."

There was a small apology but that was it- no food or drinks offered, no voucher, etc. It was very disappointing. When we got on the plane, there was a 45 minute baggage loading delay. It seemed like there could have been more haste involved in loading considering at that point there had already been a considerable delay. The worst part was, there was very little update the whole time. At one point we were told there was a technical issue so a new plane was being brought in from Grand Cayman but they time delay kept increasing without an explanation. I understand delays but to have no updates is just inconsiderate. It just seemed like there was no consideration. I will not fly with this airline again."

My last trip to Europe I flew Swiss air to Italy they had the best customer service and the food didn't taste like I was eating cardboard in jail. I am never flying united airlines to Europe again. It is too long of a trip for subpar service."

I guess a $7,000 fare doesn't warrant special attention. I had to ask the same attendant for other items at times, but he'd forget and I'd have to ask someone else. Also, the seats were decent yet a bit crowded IMHO. I'm 5'10" and my feet were crammed up against the front of the space when fully reclined. The width of the seat area was a bit tight as well. Finally, they have 2 heads (toilets) that serve both the business class section ( maybe 50 people) as well as the front of economy. One of the pilots was waiting at the same time as me and agreed that it was a pretty questionable layout for the number of seats covered. All in all, not my favorite airline and nothing on this trip so far changed that view."

Then checking in was a disaster - neither the Austrian app or united app would allow me to checkin. Then the seats we had selected initially weren't given to us at checkin so we had to upgrade our seats to sit together. And then, in our more expensive seats - we froze. We were underneath the AC and the crew said they had no extra blankets."
