The flight crew allows you to sleep the majority of the flight.

Plane was dated. No outlets at seats so I couldn’t plug in my CPAP machine. Seats crowded compared to other international airlines.

The flight was cancelled due to technical difficulties. But the airline did not plan ahead and was understaffed to take care of the individuals on the airline to speed up the process of waiting in lines. They knew we were coming and still only had 2 individuals on staff to take care of hundreds of people so the lines were longer than needed to be. Poor planning and accommodating of individuals during this time has made me not want to fly with this airline again.

We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline.

During the international flight a lot was not healthy. The crew were disinterested in the work in economy class with the exception of a very helpful young man. The announcements couldn't be understood, the speakers crackled so much and the stewardesses spoke in very heavy accents. There was still debris from the previous flight in the seat holders. The entry into the plane smelt unfresh . The TV. Programming was limited and often did not work. Overall it was a flight that lacked international standards. The final flight to cape Town was excellent. I was going to write you a letter. We are capable of much higher standards and I felt ashamed. The international flight to Perth was better but the flight back from Perth was not good. Every flight should be welcoming and helpful. The attitude and involvement of flight crew makes or breaks the journey even if the craft is old and not perfect With regards eva young and trusting that this review canbe of help.

Nice crew.

This flight was full with many families with small children. The parents exercised almost no control over their rambunctious children. A gentlemen in my row turned around to request that the children seated behind him not bang and bump the back of his seat. After 3 such requests a fight almost broke out between adults. I’ve never experienced anything quite like this on a flight. I myself got no rest on the 3 hr flight to Cairns.

Flying on Xmas and the crew was fun, dressed up and singing. I loved their energy. However when it was time to deplane their little singing number held up passengers from disembarking so that was annoying but I enjoyed it anyway :)

That they several meals to those who pre ordered them and did the entirel plane and then came back to do the regular drink/ cart service. This mean we went almost 2 hours without water because delivering meals took so long but also that the cart was in the aisle for an extra ordinary amount of time- which made getting up or bathroom trips almost impossible. I had to wait so long to use the lavatory I almost had an accident bc they were still doing service.

The second I boarded the plane i realised that Qantus Australia practices number one customer service. Every hostess greeted everyone always with a smile and politeness. The crew were simply fantastic. The new airbus 380 was very comfortable and a perfect flight. Amazing.

The fact that my checked in luggage was lost and is yet to be recovered. Very disappointing, i hope its recovered as i don have insurance.

Seriously, in all my years of flying this was the best experience I've ever had - and that includes comparing my Economy ticket at Qantas to previous First Class flights with Delta and US Air. Very coordinated, very well setup and prepared. The stewards were wonderful. Food and service outstanding through the entire 13hr flight.

My seat screen did not work, but I was ok with that as I had a charged iPad with me.

We were not able to select our seats and didn’t realize we had received the seat and bag fare. We only received a cup of water and were seated in the next to last row, often overlooked and not acknowledged.

We were pleasantly surprised by the legroom for the regular economy seats. We usually opt extra legroom because my husband is 6'4" but he was very comfortable on this flight. We fly often and on many different airlines, but Virgin always stands out for exceptional service, modern and clean planes (continuously attended to throughout the flight), better meals, friendly staff, extensive entertainment options...definitely one of the best overhaul international flights we've had.

The check-in procedure at Sydney Airport was a bit of a nightmare. Even the people who had checked in online had to wait in line (for 30 minutes-1 hour) to get boarding pass and check bags. We had carry-on bags only and still had to do this. I understand they need to recheck everyone's documents since the flight was headed to the US, but the available counters and process for moving customers along was very slow. Other than that, we had an excellent 5* star experience.

In Sydney spent another night in hotel missed fathers 87th birthday. Promised no fees to change return ticket told it was in file and to just call the was no record of that promise when I called overall horrible experience

Great choice of entertainment, crew was very fun! Food was good. Nice leg room at my seat. Carry-on compartments are very high in these planes, great for tall people, one can actually stand without hitting the head.

I could not select my seat (for free) at booking. Later I could not checkin via internet on my mobile, I needed the APP but couldn't download it (not enough battery at the time), consequently I had to take seat given at checkin at airport but attendant kindly found me a seat that was best in what was left on a fully booked plane.

The pilot would tell us as we were flying over different mountains, regions etc, and the flight was not at all crowded, and there is so much more seat space than on any domestic American flight I’ve ever flown!

They charged 60NZD for one small checked bag! And then I misunderstood the policy on lithium batteries and switched my power banks from carry-on to checked bag and they confiscated them. So there goes that.

The Virgin Airline does a GREAT job of making flights "top notched!" We've flown both Virgin America & Virgin Australia and found both to be both comfortable and entertaining. The food was tasty and filling and came at good intervals. We loved the "free" wine served with our meals! Keep up the good work!

I'd like more choices in the music department. Some blues, light classicals, smooth jazz, etc.

a) My vegetarian meal the I specially requested. b) The customer service on the phone, before my trip in California and the customer service of the flight attendants on the two flights of my trip. c) The blanket and pillow every passenger was offered on the long-haul flight from San Francisco to Auckland. d) The pilot or pilots handled the small amount turbulence we on the plane felt well so I did not feel uneasy at those times.

For an economy class series of trips, I have nothing bad to report.

a) My vegetarian meal the I specially requested. b) The customer service on the phone, before my trip in California and the customer service of the flight attendants on the two flights of my trip. c) The blanket and pillow every passenger was offered on the long-haul flight from San Francisco to Auckland. d) The pilot or pilots handled the small amount turbulence we on the plane felt well so I did not feel uneasy at those times.

For an economy class series of trips, I have nothing bad to report.

The second I boarded the plane i realised that Qantus Australia practices number one customer service. Every hostess greeted everyone always with a smile and politeness. The crew were simply fantastic. The new airbus 380 was very comfortable and a perfect flight. Amazing.

The fact that my checked in luggage was lost and is yet to be recovered. Very disappointing, i hope its recovered as i don have insurance.

Seriously, in all my years of flying this was the best experience I've ever had - and that includes comparing my Economy ticket at Qantas to previous First Class flights with Delta and US Air. Very coordinated, very well setup and prepared. The stewards were wonderful. Food and service outstanding through the entire 13hr flight.

My seat screen did not work, but I was ok with that as I had a charged iPad with me.

We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline.

Great choice of entertainment, crew was very fun! Food was good. Nice leg room at my seat. Carry-on compartments are very high in these planes, great for tall people, one can actually stand without hitting the head.

I could not select my seat (for free) at booking. Later I could not checkin via internet on my mobile, I needed the APP but couldn't download it (not enough battery at the time), consequently I had to take seat given at checkin at airport but attendant kindly found me a seat that was best in what was left on a fully booked plane.
