Well, since you're asking, what I truly liked and enjoyed was being able to sleep comfortably undisturbed on this early morning flight from blast off to splash down. Comfy seats, no yakity-yak seat neighbors, no pesky flight attendants waking me to offer coffee, and a tidy restroom when needed. Just a happy flight. There, is that 50 words?
What I don't like is having to tell you what I like and don't like about taking a trip on an airline. Suffice it to say, we made it and that is never a small accomplishment for which I am always genuinely grateful and appreciative to the pilots, the crew, the engineers and builders of these large metal tubes with wings that continually and mostly consistently manage to defy the laws of gravity by propelling groups of human beings across large stretches of land and over water. Why wouldn't I be happy?
Alaska tried to keep us informed after technical issues forced a three-hour delay in the flight. This included communication, snacks, and compensation. Given the circumstances, the ground crew performed well. The cabin crew did a great job.
The technical issues, which caused a number of follow-on issues (over-fueling the plane), was preventable. But ultimately, they solved the problem and got us safely to Spokane.
They charged for food and entertainment. Next they will charge for bathrooms and water.
Alaska really cares about their customers. The Gate Agents, Flight Attendants, and Pilots are all awesome. I really enjoy the Alaska credit card benefits too.
My wife and I are allergic to dairy and the snack on this flight was Cheese Its. It would have been nice to have another option that was dairy free.

The flight itself was fine
I bought the tickets together, but was informed at the ticket counter that i had only purchased tickets—not boarding passes. Boarding passes needed to be purchased by paying extra if my husband and I wanted to sit next to each other. I tried calling the customer service line through kayak and waited on hold for a long time with no indication of wait time. When the gate agent arrived, we asked and were moved to seats next to each other right away. The ticket agent at initial check in was very abrasive and non-solution oriented. if what she was saying was true— that we only paid for tickets and had to pay extra for boarding passes together— that was never made clear during the booking process. It’s unlikely I’ll use kayak again unless I know for sure what I’m buying.
The movie selection was great, the movie player barely worked.
The movie player/touch screen barely worked. The food is terrible.

while the dinner was okay, the stromboli which came as a snack of sorts was terrible and caused me to be "on the run" for the next 12 hours. the last five hours of the flight and then at home were awful
Best fligh I had in some time. Left on time, arrived early very attentitive crew (with smiles as they worked through the rear cabin - wish I had their names to give recognition for/to). Food rating should have had a ‘NA’ as I nor partner did not consume any food.
Can’t think of one thing - unless a flying saucer could have delivered me like in about 5 minutes to Cabo! Ok - maybe one thing: charging for a checked bag on international flight seems rediculous (you asked).
The flight was good, as well as the attentive staff
Kayak messed up royally by saying this flight was an Iberian. We went to the Iberian terminal as the email I received said the flight was an Iberian. After waiting on line for twenty minutes we were informed that this changed to an American Airlines/ British airways flight. We had to AirTran to the next terminal and almost missed the flight. Kayak needs to keep their customers better informed.
