food purchase options limited on a long flight
Service was horrible. No leg room. Flight attendants were gossiping loudly behind me. Flight was late to leave and we were stuck at the gate once we landed.
The fact that my original seats were not given. The other issue was that Alaska wasn’t my airline but American was. They didn’t even tell me until I got to the gate, moved over to another and then got transferred over to my gate.
The crew could not have been better. I was really pleased with the movie selection. However, the food is really terrible. I got a dish that was chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans, which would have been acceptable had it not been covered in bbq sauce.
Very cold and food was cold as well (and I was the first one served). There was only one meal and no food at the back during the rest of the flight like there was on the way over.
Nothing, it was by far the worst fly experience I've ever had.
I did not like everything: a) 24 hours of delay. We were suppose to fly from Buenos Aires to Paris through Sao Paulo. Instead of flying to Sao Paulo they went to Rio de Janeiro. The excuse was that "there are too many planes in the airport and we don't have enough fuel to wait in the air". Very encouraging! In case of emergency they have enough fuel for let's say 30 additional minutes. b) Once we arrive to Rio, instead of letting us fly to our final destinations from there (yes, there were many, many flights from there) they decided to let us wait 3 hours with all the uncertainty and of course no food (2 AM in the morning). We finally flew back to Sao Paulo. No one from LATAM was there, so we literally didn't know what to do. The police came after 40 minutes and they finally called LATAM. c) They lost my luggage. LAN and TAM used to be quite good. LATAM is just too bad.
The gentle man who attended to me was polite and empathis
I missed my flight which was book through kayak. The flight was cancelled by LATAM, and nothing could be done in terms of a refund. The price to get me on the next flight was 5times the price of the ticket i bought. I have never experienced something like this, and i also couldnt get a refund. Deeply saddened by this

Very unfriendly and difficult process to select seats. Impossible and almost unfriendly personnel, process to attempt to buy upgrade to. Haines even though 1/2 seats available. What a shame for an otherwise good experience.
