Cons:The worker was very bad
Pros:The Nissan Altima we picked up was nice. Good car and clean.
Cons:The JFK Federal Circle office was a nightmare. Dirty disgusting bathrooms. Trash on the floor. We got there at 1130am and it took 2.5 hours to finally get the car. At one point the staff left their computers. I don’t know if they went on break or what. With a big line of people still waiting. I will never rent Budget again based on this experience.
Cons:we booked a car through Kayak. There were no cars at the location that the booking indicated on the Kayak booking. The staff there was rude and unhelpful. We called Kayak, they told to call Budget. We called Budget they told us they could not help because we had made the booking through a third party. There were 5 of us with three underaged kids and luggage in the cold of winter. The whole experience cost us a $300 Uber ride to our destination on Christmas day., without any apology or compensation from neither Kayak nor Budget. Never again will I book anything through Kayak.
Pros:The car itself
Cons:The customer service. There were 2 woman working the desk when we arrived. For a pick up of 5pm we were kept there until 6:15. The attendant walked us to our car and didn't give us keys. We had to locate him for keys again. One of the woman, the one who ran my transaction was speaking like she was drunk, could barely understand her. When she gave us the run down of the insurance policy we could not understand a word. I was charged$18 online for travel insurance yet, had to pay$35 in person bc that transaction was not appearing on her computer. When we dropped the car off I made it clear that I would like to pay with another credit card yet the SAME WOMAN carded my friends card. When I asked for a void she said I could cone back the next morning where someone could help with that. We left very angry. I will never use this service again. I have already emailed about the$18 travel insurance being refunded.
Pros:Drop off was easy and smooth.
Pros:Pickup process took forever. Car didn’t have wiper fluid and there was salt on the streets so i couldnt see well. I had to stop at a rest stop to get water for the windshield. Quite dangerous.

Cons:I got charged an extra $90 because they didn’t factor in the time change between Chicago and New York. So at first o was charged for a whole extra day, but once I pointed out the mistake, they still charged me $90 for being ~15 monies late with the car.
Awesome car. Rental pickup was very long process. Took over an hour, I did the pre-check and the location was slow.
