Cons:
We could not rent a car from Hertz because we had temporary enhanced CDLs from WA state that were in paper form. WA confiscated our old plastic CDLs and left us with only paper ones. Hertz in CA doesn't consider that suitable for renting a car unless we have an accompanying plastic state ID or passport. Even though we were assured by the state of WA that our temporaries would be sufficient for everything we need short of crossing the US border. The gal at Hertz wouldn't budge and we had to make several expensive Uber trips to get around that day. We lost a LOT of money and valuable time due to this setback. Next time we will just rent an uncomfortable pickup truck from U-Haul. That way we won't have to put up with rental agency corporate BS.2.0 Poor

It was inexpensive and pick up/drop off was within walking distance of my home.Cons:
Homeboy at Enterprise told me third party insurance, which I bought through Kayak, would'nt be recognized through Enterprise if anything happened to the vehicle. He told me I should cancel the third party insurance and proceeded to give me options they offered. I told him, "Nah, I'll pass." and went on my way.Avis

They tell you their insurance is $42 vs Kayak's $72. The difference is Avis is per day, that you need to read the small print to know, and Kayak is per week. The only thing they tell you it's only $42 never the total. So, if you can't read the small print you are screwed.6.8 Okay

Front windows has small "star" cracked (hit by rock) as we were driving the crack expended to 3 inch or more...Unable to drive comfortably with family during our children's school visit up north to Bay Area. Was given a 10% off when we returned the cracked front windows rental car.
