Staff was polite and return was quick.

Cons:

Very inefficient pick up that took an hour. I specifically requested a small vehicle which they didn’t have so got a regular sedan. During the hour that I waited, the car was sitting right there. Employees had not cleaned it and only right before I took possession were they in there disinfecting it. The car was dirty, smelled like weed. There were personal items belonging to someone in the trunk and a used mask under the driver’s seat. It looked like someone’s personal vehicle that had been rented out to me. All other cars in the facility looked good from afar - they were SUVs that had been washed and cleaned and had no damage. The car given to me had not been washed or cleaned, and had preexisting damage.

the car computer which should allow to have accurate information about the gasoline consumption wasn't accurate and couse me confusion about the real gasoline consumption . beacuse the car was only half loded (???? i dont know why? it should be fully loaded!) i needed to stop more time to fuel it before getting it back and finaly i returned it with more fuel than i need to....

I asked for a car that didn’t smell of smoke and was given one with extra air freshener but a smoky odor that emerged after I had been driving for about an hour. More importantly, the driver’s side windshield wiper broke off during a heavy rainstorm, and I could have had a serious accident. Between these problems and an issue with the previous car I rented from Hertz, I have yet to be given a penny of a refund because I made the mistake of prepaying. I will certainly not ever use Hertz again!

Cons:

There was no windsheild wiper fluid in the vehicle or in the vehicle. When I drove in the highway i could not see cuz of the snow and the wipers without the fluid was a danger situation. I could have gotten in accident because of this. There should be everything in the vehicle and things in the back in case of emergencies such as this one.

I didn't like national due the over charge was out rageous, getting charged 80 cents kilometers when it'd suppose to be 33 cents kilometers. They were charging 3000 kilometers when it's 23650 n charging 2000 in kilometers charges when he said I was out of province, they gave me a Alberta license plate car n now they want to charge me, the attitude from the man was very rude,problems with car and said couldnt do anything, I need to be treated like criminal, when it's criminal the way they try and scam you. I will never rent from another rental car company again especially your company, I don't give you any stars and a poor review. Worst company.. the way he ordered me to pay and the way he talked to me in public, he said I don't need to talk to him like that when he kept refusing to give the mangers number and argued with me n when people were staring he said I don't need to be treated this and talked in his language and got angry gave me the number after 20 min, I walked 2 hours home passed off with the treatment and then the guy took the car out and literally stepped on the pedal went more then speed limit on the airport road, he was mad with ne cause I refuse to pay 3000 dollars for double the amount to what was told.. never rent a car in fort st john they will rob you blind...

Reserved a luxury SUV (Audi Q5 or equivalent was stated). When I arrived I was given the choice of only two SUV’s, both Ford Expedition Max. The vehicle is the biggest SUV Ford makes…6000lbs, 7 passenger and 20’ long. Not a luxury SUV and a gas guzzler averaging 13 mpg. You need a step ladder to climb into the vehicle. Was not a pleasant experience trying to drive and park that thing around Charleston SC.

We were misled into taking an EV even though we had booked a gasoline car. And this is inspite of them knowing we would be traveling from SF to LA as car drop was at LA. We also pointed out our route including Yosemite. They told us we needn't worry as the car goes from 0-80% charging in 15 min on a fast charger. We struggled across the 7 days as charging was slow and the range on full charge was only 140 miles on the Subaru. Very unethical and misleading team at this branch.

I liked the convenient and efficient process of getting my car. My return flight was very early and I also appreciated the convenience of dropping the key in the return box. The car I rented was a Toyota RAV4 and it was wonderful!!! Car was clean and running well.

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..

But, one of your professional employees made a pertinent point with respect to the small roads in Europe in general and also about the potential taxes on the vehicles that are imposed by various governments in the EU. I wish I had taken the other bad reviews seriously but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and given Budget is a global company, I figured it would be fine. I booked a compact SUV for a week starting 5/30 with a pickup time of 11pm. Our flight was diverted to Nicaragua due to bad weather so we were late in landing. I was at the desk by 1:15am. While in Nicaragua, I called Budget via phone and was told that the location had been made aware of the diversion and delay and that I have 24 hours to pick up my car. I was assured that there was no issue at all in my delay. Additionally, I spoke with a chat representative online who was able to confirm with the the local team that my car would be 100% held until 2am. When I arrived at the desk, the representative told me that they had already given my car away as they waited any hour for me to arrive. I tried to explain the above and the gentlemen was completely unhelpful, only offering me a pickup truck after much back and forth. However, he was going to charge me an additional $700 for the truck. There was another passenger behind me who was also on my flight who's car had been given away as well. I eventually walked down to a different counter and was able to secure a last minute car with a lovely gentlemen. I truly encourage everyone to stay away from this place. They left me stranded at the airport at 1:30am with no options and couldn't even have bothered to apologize.

Acceptable. We didnt inspect the vehicle together and sign it off before leaving from pick up which was a bit of a worry. Car interior a little worn/tired but clean. No sixt branded car hire stickers/signage? I selected wrong airport for pick up. Additional charge was a bit high in my opinion but understandable

After 30 minutes of waiting in line they refused to rent me a car because I could not prove that I live in Canada - the country where I received my drivers license. I have no Idea why I have to prove that, Ideally valid documents should be enough, but the result is disappointing: I did not get a car, the company did not receive my money.

My van that was reserved and pre paid in advance was given away due to my flight being delayed. Imagine the person in front of you in line is discussing how a van just became available as you stand there asking if the van being given away was yours. And yes it's in fact your van. Then no vans were left to rent and you have to rent a hotel and hope a van becomes available the next day. Fingers crossed as you are in a foreign country not knowing what to do next. I was also awake at that point over 26 hours. Tired exhausted and jet lagged. So my experience was 10 out of 10 the worst case scenario.

The agent I worked with at the counter when picking up the vehicle was excellent, and I am sorry, but I don't have her name handy. Hopefully, you all can see that from the paperwork and will give her kudos, as she did a fantastic job and was super friendly and helpful. She is a valuable asset to your company. I watched her work with the customers before me, and they left with the same sense of gratitude that I had when I finished working with her. Especially after the day I had been traveling.

They tried to steal $91 from me. I was told that in order to pay for the toll tag, I need to use the same card. They tried to run the credit card and it came back declined. So I spent the whole trip taking longer routes to avoid tolls. No problem. When I turn the rental in, they charged me $91 dollars for a toll tag, after they already knew it was declined. I never took a toll road, so why are they charging me for it. Been on the phone with them 2 times since I’ve been back and nothing has been rectified.

When we picked up the vehicle, they didn't have the same level of vehicle available that I reserved. Instead of offering a better vehicle at the same rate, they would only downgrade the vehicle without a rate reduction. This downgraded vehicle wasn't going to work for the number people, bags, and adventures into the mountains we planned for. (Which is why we reserved the Rav4.) I was left with the only choice of moving to an upgraded Jeep Grand Cherokee for more money. Once we got into the Jeep GC, we immediately found a pouch filled with pills under the passenger seat. We have no idea what these pills were, but took them into the office. They offered to put us into a different Jeep GC, which we accepted. At this point, they did offer a refund for the upgrade charge, but only after being asked. I was also told that there was an additional $200 deposit that would be returned upon return. The vehicle was returned with half of a tank of gas and no issues, and I did NOT receive the full $200 deposit back, only $167, with no explanation as to why. I paid for the tolls package and only went through two of them. There is no way that was $33. I will not be renting from Ace again. This was not an experience that I care to repeat. As we were dealing with our own issues on the rental, others were also having issues with their rentals. Didn't seem to be a great situation across the board.

I would rent from Fox again but I’d be way more likely to rent from Fox if there was a way to use their car for toll roads on only the days when you’re planning to use it on those roads instead of paying for toll usage for the entire duration of the trip. Having to pay for the entire duration even though I only wanted to use tolls for one day meant that the cost was much higher and the value not really that great.

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.

Rented a 12 passenger van for a college trip with students to study marine biology in southern Florida for 3 weeks. Reservation and rental agreement indicated $889 as total price, $500 (approx) downpayment was made at reservation. Upon arrival, they charged me $1,500 and said there is some required insurance although my University pays for full insurance on all fleet rentals. I do not see this in the details on expedia. The van was in poor condition - dent in the back with cracked bumper from a prior accident. One seat was literally zip-tied on. Two seats did not have seat belts so effectively serves as a 10 passenger vehicle. The zip-tied seat and missing seat belts would be against the law so I have reported this to Florida's Attorney General office for investigation.

Experience was not great. Did not know that priceless was not inside of the Tampa airport. When we landed it was 8:30 and priceless closed at 9 so we had to rent a different car and they still charged me.

This is a horrible company that charged over $1000 for a deposit, and never returned it. They claimed I chipped the license plate cover.. seriously? Whether that is true or not, the charge for $1000 should fully or almost completely refunded.

I didn't rent the car in the end. I arrived at the place with a $30 fee in my mind and due to hidden fees they were gonna charge me almost $400, that's 13 times more than expected! What a rip off.

Advertised at airport, but it was off location. Had to pay an additional $30 to leave the car in long term parking since the office was closed (at 3pm on a Monday) after being told they should have been open! Labor Day! Totally false and the manager would not work with us on it whatsoever even though kayak said they would be open!
