Great value for the price. Staff assures that you are getting the best value and were very kind. The car was in great condition. The only thing I would improve is more staff for times with more pick up and drop off. Other renters were very impatient and unkind to staff who were working very efficiently. There were no clear locations to park cars being dropped off which created more work for the staff. Otherwise, excellent.

I didn’t have a very good experience with Ace. They cars Are very old and apparently are being used for personal vehicles by one of the employees. I brought my vehicle back, gassed up and timely on Thursday, June 13. This is the morning of Friday, June 14. I still don’t have the rental agreement and I still don’t have my $400 deposit back. Which is causing me to miss my flight this morning to Washington DC, that $400 was a part of my expense account and as a result of not having it back, (because they did not process the paperwork timely) I’m in trouble with my job. Needless to say, I’m not very happy with Ace car rental.😩

Terrible, after arriving at 4 am, i was prepared to obtain my vehicle only to find out they would not allow me to rent it. My drivers license has expired, however I have the temporary issued one showing my DL has been renewed. They refused to allow a document that’s been authorized. Fortunately Avis was so wonderful and able to help me. Will never attempt to use them again. You get what you pay for.

Pick up seemed okay, I felt I knew more information that I received from online than the employee did. Our vehicle was all beat up on the outside, no floor mats, sticky stuff on the inside. Had good a/c and got us to and from locations which was the main thing. Wished it was cleaner and not so dented prior. Made us nervous we would be charged after. Check out was not so good. Employee checked car in and sent us to get printed receipt which we needed and the employee at the desk had an attitude huffing and puffing as if we were annoying her by asking for our closing receipt. Not very personable on the trips to and from airport on shuttle but each trip they did help load and load luggage and opened doors.

Save yourself the hassle and just spend the extra money for a known name rental company. Van took forever to come pick up from the airport because they are located off sight. The car was damaged on the front and not just a little ding but noticeable sized dents and scratches. Staff was nice but still not sure if I have been credited my $250 deposit that is due on top of what you pay for the rental.

I got to the easirent location listed- which said it was at Harry Reid Airport- it was 10 Miles from there ina. Dusty field and a temporary mobile home. The workers were so worn down, and just used to screwing customers, and one nice lady was so tired and on the verge of a heat stroke. The original price was 160 on Kayak, and the whole process was so frustrating. Allegedly the “out of state fee” was $25 per day, which increased my total to $260. I was frustrated at this point and tired, and I said ok. As we were about to finish the gentleman told me I also needed to give a credit card for a $500 dollar deposit- again, figured it would be refunded when I returned it. I went to the car, and was unpleasantly surprised to find the car very dirty, with marker still written on the windshield like it came from an auction lot. The inside smelled terrible. I left and am driving down the freeway, and find the front lights don’t work. I turned around and went back and asked for my money back- which was obviously met with resistance. I spent an hour trying to get my money back, and ultimately the lady helped but told me it would be a surprise if I get the money back since it’s through Kayak. I did get the deposit refunded. I went to Budgets website while waiting and rented a nicer car, for 30 less dollars. Go to the big name places, guys. This place is a rip off!!!

I never got the car, because they had a rule that was not disclosed prior to making the reservation; that if I was not departing the day I was returning the vehicle they required a $500 deposit. This was very disappointing. So I had to cancel; which resulted in me loosing my money that I paid up front. So, i will not recommend them ever. I ended up renting with ACE, which was a few dollars cheaper and a much better experience overall.

They charged me extra for unlimited miles, for local driver upon pick up. I didn’t want to rent anymore but my order was non refundable. So I had no choice but to pay up or lose more money. My rental agreement with kayaks said it was unlimited miles. Very disappointed in both companies for there no transparency, the pick up location was not very inviting, had to wait a half hr. To get help with no AC in the building. Never going here again

Budget was under resourced for the amount of reservations they accepted. We waited in line for 30 minutes to check in, then waited another 30 minutes to recieve a car because they had no inventory. I finally accepted a full size Dodge Ram quad cab as my rental car to drive my family to the beach. It was not ideal. I didn't want to wait any longer for my actual rental to be available. They simply oversold their supply. Not a great business strategy. I feel bad for the front line workers that had to deal with that many unhappy vacationers. We were all just sitting around baggage claim staring at each other, waiting for our name to be called in the "Do I Get A Car?" lottery.

They refused to rent us a car, despite literally confirming by calling Budget earlier in the day, simply because we "made the reservation the same day of the pick up." They had keys for us. Nobody in line behind us. Has taken all our info. But saw it was same day reservation and refused. We walked over the enterprise and rented with them on the spot no issues for the same price. Never use Budget.

The van we rented was dirty at pick up - also had a lot of nicks and dents - we told the rep I called he said he knew but we didn’t do a walk around together - told him about it being dirty said u should have called me but I had to go pick up my daughter- he didn’t even say we will give you 19 percent off - or a discount on future rentals or any kind of regret -

Cons:

Kiosk at the airport was unmanned and had to use Alamo for picking up the Enterprise reserved vehicle. The line was long and moved slowly and took about 30 minutes. Very disappointed with that portion of the process, otherwise was a fine experience.

The rental was dirty. Under the stowaway seats was filthy. I didn’t know how to operate the key fob, didn’t know you had to touch the fob to the start button. No one on the lot to help. The vehicle had minor damage on the passenger side that should have noted. Had to go back to the desk to have it noted. The desk personnel were friendly and helpful.

Pros:

I did not have to wait long to pick up my rental in Clearwater. The price was very good for a three day rental in a tourist area during peak season also.

Cons:

We had reserved a compact car, but when we got to the counter, the guy told me all they had was a pickup truck. It was nice and drove well, but was a little difficult to put our luggage in the back seat. We would not have had any room if we had a third or fourth person with us.

Tried 3 times to rent via Kayak with Hertz……ikept getting notices that what you advertised vs what they showed via emil was twice the price ?.. then I got a cancellation notice ??? Bait and switch. Not good. Never again and I will tell everyone

Booked “standard suv” category and received a banged up old minivan instead. Car was disgusting outside and especially inside! Took forever to receive the car and then even longer to get out of the gate due to their system freezing up. Not impressed at all!

Didn’t have cars in the class I reserved and prepaid, so was forced to take a lower class vehicle. Also, no fully charged vehicle was available, so I had to accept one with 3/4 battery charge. The car was filthy. They made numerous attempts to upsell me other options/services, and when I refused they tried to suggest it was not optional. I continued to refuse to pay extra above my prepaid amount, and they eventually relented. However, as a result, it took 45 minutes from the time I got to the counter to the time I drove off.

I tried to get a refund from dollar because our flight was cancelled and never made it to our destination to use rental so I cannot say it was good or bad. Trying to get ahold of the company through email and no reply.

It was hard to get a hold of them in the morning. I was on hold for 30+ minutes. I gave up as I was first in line according to the recording. I called back and no one called me back. At noon I left a message and none called me back. At 2 I called and finally spoke to someone. Once I spoke to someone it was excellent from there all the way through.

When I pay money to reserve a vehicle and I get to dollar to check in and was told there is no more 7 passenger vehicle available and there's three people ahead of me also waiting on a 7 passenger vehicle. I think it's poor on Dollar and the third parties Dollar works with. I was not refunded my money for the service I could not use.
