Reserved a luxury SUV (Audi Q5 or equivalent was stated). When I arrived I was given the choice of only two SUV’s, both Ford Expedition Max. The vehicle is the biggest SUV Ford makes…6000lbs, 7 passenger and 20’ long. Not a luxury SUV and a gas guzzler averaging 13 mpg. You need a step ladder to climb into the vehicle. Was not a pleasant experience trying to drive and park that thing around Charleston SC.

Requested a Tahoe (7 passengers), they presented me with a 6 passenger suv. Luckily there was a Tahoe on site that I waited to be.

Overall, it was fine. My only complaint was that I paid for them to fill up the tank upon return. I was led to believe they would fill to the point of fullness and only charge me for that. We got so close to empty that I went ahead and filled up to that point, and then got charged for it anyway. The tank was only HALF full when we picked up the car. So, by the end of the day we were hovering on fumes. That's why I went ahead and filled it back up to half, thinking that I wouldn't then have to pay any gas fees. I think it's ridiculous to be given a car with a tank that is only half full, and then be told that I should return the car with an empty tank and then they would charge me to fill it back up to the half way mark. Isn't that taking quite a chance, to simply HOPE that you don't run out of gas on the interstate one mile away from the rental? Every rental should always have a mostly full tank - or else you should only be charged for the actual gas they have to pump in at the end of your trip. It's insane that I should just hope and pray I don't run out of gas in order to avoid paying for gas that is literally already in the car when I return it.

Reserved car 2 months in advance. Did not even come up with anything close. End result no car not very happy. Rented from budget cost twice as much but the had a vehicle

Pros:

staff was super friendly and professional at both ends. however, the drop off location was extremely confusing in Salzburg as it was having to go the wrong way on a one way street to return vehicle. the car was superb, luxurious beyond belief and practically drove itself with all the add ons.

Cons:

only the return location could be easier to access. otherwise it was the most outstanding experience i have ever had in renting a vehicle

Easy checkout. Good clean car.

Cons:

During the return, the agent questioned a couple of spots on the back fender. We had NO issues using the car. Not sure why these spots were not properly documented before.

The car was parked under a tree and dirty outside. The GPS had some issues and shutoff a couple times.

Cons:

Hard to locate even from the street. No 24/7 phone customer care. Flight arrived after closing, location cancelled the rental. Turns out it was summer holiday, spent the rest of the day trying to find a replacemet rental.

-location hard to find- it's inside Hertz balcony with no signs whatsoever. -Price was good, but I was asked for 2000euros of deposit (first 1000, after a mistake from the employee, then he apologized and said 2000) -I understand it's Hertz policy, but a rent a car costs 41.92euros, and the insurance 92 euros??? -left without renting the car, tried to cancel the reservation, but internet site very bad organised. -Kayak so far amazing experiences. Hertz never liked. Million dollar never again.

worse experience ! did not recieved propper info in my email regarding what im covered...insurances... ended up paying almost dubble...plus another 30 £feeee for dollar rent car ??still did nor recieved my deposit of 1700euro after more than one week... ive been given a cheap car that was struggling on the autoband..

Lady at the counter was asleep and had this attitude where she seems to not want to work and just want to get you out of there. Terrible service. We booked at Budget instead which was right next to National and had way better service.

I didn't like national due the over charge was out rageous, getting charged 80 cents kilometers when it'd suppose to be 33 cents kilometers. They were charging 3000 kilometers when it's 23650 n charging 2000 in kilometers charges when he said I was out of province, they gave me a Alberta license plate car n now they want to charge me, the attitude from the man was very rude,problems with car and said couldnt do anything, I need to be treated like criminal, when it's criminal the way they try and scam you. I will never rent from another rental car company again especially your company, I don't give you any stars and a poor review. Worst company.. the way he ordered me to pay and the way he talked to me in public, he said I don't need to talk to him like that when he kept refusing to give the mangers number and argued with me n when people were staring he said I don't need to be treated this and talked in his language and got angry gave me the number after 20 min, I walked 2 hours home passed off with the treatment and then the guy took the car out and literally stepped on the pedal went more then speed limit on the airport road, he was mad with ne cause I refuse to pay 3000 dollars for double the amount to what was told.. never rent a car in fort st john they will rob you blind...
